Thanks Barbie for keeping us going!

Goal for December is to eat at least 6 fruits and veggies a day. Ideally 8-10.

Charsuzie – I haven’t forgotten about the pic. I’m just trying to make as few trips as possible. Maybe next time I have to go downstairs I’ll take the pic. Here's a picture of my DVD collection

My goodness you have an extensive library of exercise DVD's! That's great!

Videos on YouTube have helped me learn how to move around on my mat for 30 minutes. do some beginning Pilates and also use resistance bands. I've not done any with any consistency however so have not progressed in any of them.

Happy December!!!: I plan to get Christmas boxes down from the attic in the garage and start making our home "Merry and Bright." I'm hoping to get the outdoor Christmas tree lighted today. The first step is getting our table in the garage set up and bringing Christmas decorations down from the attic. :star:

:) I did well at the end of November being more consistent about dancing nearly every day and going for a walk nearly every late afternoon (5PM). Some days I had time to dance only four dances but on Fridays I dance for over and hour and do at least 15 dances. My late afternoon walks are easy except that the dogs think I'm going to take them out. The last two days, Jake has taken the dogs out through the back door as I leave through the front door.

:)Barbara, I'm glad to hear that Joe got positive news from the doctor about his eyes.

:) My favorite thing about the December holidays is the decorations in people's yards. In my neighborhood many people have their lights on in the morning so I can enjoy them when I walk the dogs. This year I have added another walk in the late afternoon so I can see all the lights. I record a few Hallmark movies to watch on TV. Otherwise, we don't acknowledge the holidays at all.

:) Jake just built a fire in the wood stove so it will be toasty in the house this morning.

Bananas ... I'm sorry you're having a hard time of it right now ... hugs.

    Allie ... thinking about you!

Karen in VA ... cat got your tongue?

November/December Goals ... pretty certain my November goals were to be lighter. I didn't get on the scale this month (I usually weigh daily) and the results were a gain, not a loss. I am aware that stress has wrecked havoc with my best intentions. So this month I will get back to what I know benefits me the most. Daily weighing, drinking more water, maintaining a 21/3 IF lifestyle (my window has been widening ... sigh), reducing carbs (especially crackers which I am evidently addicted to when topped with ham salad, cheese or peanut butter) and, most importantly, getting off my duff. I have been way too inactive and can, at the very least during this time, get on my treadmill.

Today the plan is to send out sympathy cards ... four deaths within the last week ... sigh. Yesterday we got two trees up and ready for decorating, so today, we'll also pull out the ornaments.

Beth near Buffalo ... where we greeted December with a light covering of snow that is expected to turn into quite an accumulation.

Barbara - I share your happiness that your DH is communicating with you. It took my husband a long time to learn that was the better way, but he is OK at it now. They were brought up to hide their weaknesses... :'(
I always tell him, whatever weird thing is going on in his head, it can't be much weirder than mine. I think we are pretty well-matched in neuroses! :D
    Good news on the pressures!

My elder son did a live stream video yesterday on YouTube to celebrate his 44th birthday. Just about everything went wrong! He held it together (I know he was very upset and anxious about it) and it all went very well and was amiably funny! I watched it this morning (can't watch live, it makes me too nervous) and texted him to say it made me chuckle. I think he is relieved with all the feedback he is getting that people really liked all the f... ups. :p
Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good.

Went out for a beautiful walk with DH after lunch. Blue, blue sky, blue, blue sea. Heaven!

I forwent my usual writing session this morning in order to phone my old yoga friend from where I used to live. Chatted for ages! :D<3 I'm always too tired in the afternoon. It was worth the sacrifice.

    Duck legs tonight. Curly kale.

    Love Heather UK xxxxxxxx

Barbie - Thanks for the new thread.

My goal for this month is to cure the anemia.

Barbara - The guys SCUBA dive every couple of weeks off our friend's boat. Sometimes I go with them, but in my current state, that's not an option. I usually also cook them hot meals to eat when they're done. They dive for photographs and experiences.

SuziQ - The car is summit grey. I much prefer red, but it wasn't an option. Unfortunately, I still haven't taken it out of the garage since I brought it home from the dealership.

I don't mind seeing nurse practitioners at all. This doc is an MD, so I am sure I will have to work with a specialist too. This is hopefully getting me in the door and on the priority list. I can't keep on like this much longer.

The anemia is not treating me well. I burned 300+ calories sitting on the couch for an hour yesterday. That's what I normally burn on a 3.5 mile run.

We are still on the hunt for a new puppy, but it is tough. The local shelters are all locked down and the breeders are backlogged with long waiting lists for puppies. So, my husband did this:

Her name is Chloe, and she has been so good for our souls. (But not for our sleep schedules. She is nocturnal, so we find ourselves staying up until she wakes up, so we can have some "cuddle" time.) She is confined to my son's bedroom (the 14 year old in the picture with her). The cat knows something is up, but she isn't allowed in the room, so she has lost interest. Besides, there is the Christmas tree to distract her right now.

    Take care everyone.

My son’s second Covid test is negative and he is still symptom free. He will remain quarantined until Friday. My physician rescheduled my appointment for tomorrow to follow the 14 day rule. I’m fine with that!

Rita: Sorry that you’re having digestive troubles. (((hugs)))

(((Tina in CA))): I hope reach your goal and cure the anemia soon. Has your doctor prescribed anything to help your situation? :flowerforyou:

I began Christmas decorating today. My Christmas boxes are down from the garage attic and ready to have their contents dispersed to cheer up the dark days of winter. The wet bar in the living room is done and the rest of whole house left to go.

There is a LOT left to do. So far I have two Santas on the piano. One of them is a treasure. My daughter made it for us while she was still in high school. She made it entirely from cepe-paper except the head, that is a Styrofoam ball covered in crepe paper. Her Santa is a spectacular treasure. The other Santa was bought at a store in the dim reaches of history. :star:

Beth - Great news for your son. Wow. Four deaths in a week. So very sad.

Flea - Sorry for the loss of your dog. What kind of pet is that? It's hard to see in the photo.

Tracey - I could not work in a home like you do. I get too attached. Hope they get the virus issue sorted out soon.

Rita - Hope you're on the mend soon.

Barbara - Good news about Joe.

Heather - I love watching the outtakes. They make the video so much more interesting and it never hurts to laugh. My colleague does quarterly videos for clients and at the end, he adds in the "bloopers." It's hilarious.

I am not a fan of Christmas and if we put lights/decorations up at all, it's for the mister. However, I'm wondering if they would help my mood this year.

We are a bit concerned my appt. with the specialist will be cancelled due to covid. If it is, I will likely lose my mind. Our friend's back surgery was cancelled because there are no elective surgeries allowed right now. Calling it "elective" is a stretch, IMO. I don't consider my situation "elective." If I have to be in the ER every few days, I guess that's what I'll have to do.
