@quilteryoyo thinking of you and your parents, I know how hard it is to know they're feeling that way and not be able to help, the medical part does sound like a bit of an improvement though!

first day of the 12 days of yetimas. it was a nice easy fast walk of a 5k. Speed Demon did not like this walking thing. however, i enjoyed it. with 11 more days to go, it was nice for an easy day.
tonight is another 5k, they want a progressive 5k. we'll see. the coach wasn't sure about that and would rather it be a constant pace. i might try a tiny bit progressive. like 10 or 15 seconds.impatient demon
some people's walk was faster than my running 5k5 -
Not good news. We were able to see dad yesterday/last night. At first he was doing really good and then took an instantaneous turn downhill. His oxygen level is at 65% this morning, so just a matter of time, the nurse said. We are hoping to get to go back to be with him today. There's no guarantee with CoVID, which is horrible. Not feeling chatty. Will check back in when I can. We are grateful that we had the time with him when he was doing good and he was SOOO happy to see us walk in and got to FB chat with the grandkids and great- grandkids. So, that is something.17

@quilteryoyo I'm so sorry to hear your dad took a turn for the worse. I hope you get to see him again. I'm sure it's good for his spirits.
@ContraryMaryMary Absolutely beautiful course even if it does sound a little treacherous. Sounds like a great race for a relay!0 -
@quilteryoyo so so sorry to hear your dad's worsening condition. Glad you were able to make him happy just by walking in the room. Remember that moment.0

Yesterday was awful. I went out after work to run with Skip and Champ and after a half mile we had to walk, I thought I was going to pass out. It was like 39F degrees and I started to sweat, I could feel it rolling down my back. Poor Skip was freaking out, I told her I’m fine I didn’t eat lunch, but I gotta tell you I was like WTF is happening, then I was freezing. We walked 1.5 miles to the house and she got me some M&Ms and soda and like 20 minutes later I felt fine. Really strange. I should have grabbed something light before went out.
@Teresa502 great job on keeping up the streak, beach days sound amazing right now.
@martaindale you are so right, sometimes the same pace feels easy one day and like it’s killing you the next.
@quilteryoyo my hearts breaks for you all having to make that decision. I had to make similar decisions for both my parents, it’s so hard to do, but we always need to put them first and what is best for them and not us. My dad was so sick for 4 years, at the end every organ shut down but his heart, the doctor said he just won’t let go, my mom on the other hand told me she was tired, done and ready, she was sick for many many years. They truly make their own decisions in their heads and in their hearts. I hope seeing his grandbabies gives me the strength to fight. I’m so happy you were able to see him. Many hugs my friend.
@katharmonic salted caramel vodka…I need that in my life
@mbaker566 the kathoola nanospikes are they something you put over your normal running shoe? What kind of sick person do that do an animal? What a sweet face.
@ContraryMaryMary if I had to run that it would take me forever because I would just be looking and taking pictures. Great job on the all women’s team! Woohoo on winning the sunglasses
@eleanorhawkins hugs to you and your family

This is what happens to me when I get hypoglycemic. But I usually also get really lightheaded and my vision gets really tunneled. It is a weird and scary feeling.

@skippysmom it just hurts, she's a really sweet dog.

That is scary @martaindale
Thanks @mbaker566 we don't get much snow or ice but sometimes up on the mountain it gets icy.1 -
@ContraryMaryMary congratulations on your relay marathon! That looks amazing!!! Sounds very challenging and a little scary with the cliffs and narrow track but that would be awesome. I would love to run there. Hope you can get some nice well-deserved rest. And congrats on the sunglasses!
