I am looking to gain a feeling of acceptance. To accept the things I can't change and to change the things I can't accept. I want to gain that confidence in me that nothing can stop me from my goals, something I lost a long time ago.35

For me... My fitness journey is about challenging myself to do more, press harder, and break through ceilings I never thought possible.
Adjusting my eating habits helps me feel happier in my own skin. Developing strength gives me a feeling of pride.
And both set an example for my teenage children, who are bombarded so heavily with filters and unrealistic expectations. I want them to see a strong, chill, happy and healthy mom... One who can lift heavy things, repeatedly. Rock a gorgeous outfit. Feel confident in her femininity. And NOT be fighting with one fad diet after another.
And if I can, in any way, help someone else along the way... BONUS!20 -
Elephant in the room: Confidence
All other satellite stuff: weight loss, better eating habits, self control, new skills. Did I mention confidence?

Pride.
It seems obvious that a person should take care of themselves. Not just physically, but in every way possible. I can’t say that I have been doing that in the past year. I have had periods of my life (as have we all, I am sure) where I have done everything in my power to take care of myself, and the pride that comes with that is indescribable. A feeling that you are strong, capable, and worth the effort. A feeling that doesn’t go away when you inevitably have a bad day. It’s a feeling that permeates every aspect of your life and bleeds through into areas that you would never expect to be affected.
To be proud of not only what I (will) have accomplished, but for all that I (will) have done to get there.18 -
I am looking to gain strength, wellness, knowledge, and overall health. 2021 is the first year that I'm beginning at goal weight, so I will be working to learn more about maintenance and healthy habits that will sustain me throughout my life.
Technically, I'm 0.7 pounds above the top of my maintenance range post holidays, but I'm back to my normal lifestyle this week and confident that I will get back to the low end of my range. 2021 will be about gaining confidence in my ability to maintain while adapting to real life needs and enjoyment.10 -

Hi! I just started MFP today after a full year of doing Noom. I really enjoyed Noom and lost 25 pounds, which I hadn’t been able to do previously with other diet plans. But I feel that I can start a new program of maintaining my new healthy lifestyle with a less expensive program fee. And I hope to make healthy Friends in this app to encourage each other on our journeys.13

God gave me an amazing body that grew 2 healthy beautiful children, and I let it get unhealthy, unhappy, overweight and uncomfortable. I want to honor the body I've been given by healthy living, food & exercise. I started this journey at 210lbs, and today I weigh 153.2. I walk 5 miles 4 days a week in 1:09:30. Oh. and I can touch my toes. :-)22

Used this app for a while now sporadically but now I log everything. Never written here before but here it goes! February of 2020 I stepped on the scale and it read 128kg, after a mind opening night I decided to turn my habits around, so I stopped drinking coca cola and surprise! up until September the weight flew off, but slowed down so I joined my local MMA gym and continue to drop weight. My eating habits are much better but not perfect, my goal for this year is to keep training my skills and exercise to reach fighting shape and weight goal of 87kg, currently I'm down to 91.5 kg
Confidence is way up and I feel happier, I can also find clothes that I like that fit me!

Independence, and quality of life.
As an older woman, now 65, no close family, the longer I can take care of myself, the longer I can be independent. To enjoy life while aging, I need to be strong, healthy, mobile, at a healthy weight, well-nourished, thriving. Those things are the foundations of happiness, for me. MFP helps.20 -

I went up to 93kg after our first lockdown here in the UK, now am back down to 79kg, aiming for 76kg. Then will focus on strength and rebuild back up to wherever that takes me.
I am 40, 5’9” and train everyday. Currently kettlebells, pull ups and running.
My diet is low carb between 30-75g usually on the lower end unless I feel tired from training. Then I add a bit for comfort . Eating a lot more protein on this diet which has been a game changer! Eating between 130-160g a day.
Using suolplements more too, Creatine, testo fuel (which has vitamin D and some other things), athletic greens, bcaa pills, krill oil, and magnesium. Anything else you’d recommend?
I love my food so this has been interesting. The lockdown has forced me to cut back on drinking as what’s the point if you can’t hang out with friends?
I am lucky in that my work demands me to be in shape as I own a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school I. London Wave BJJ. We are currently closed so working on posts and my training gives me ideas for this and how to do things in future with my students.
Hope you are all doing well and staying healthy and happy3 -
