Didn't end the week stellarly yesterday, but I had a really nice outdoor socially distanced visit with my parents! Belated birthday for me, so mom made me a cake - that was lunch.

    Tracked: yes
Under: yes (but seriously bad diet)

@annabananmc - Happy birthday! You did an amazing job of staying under calories with the cake.

    MUAC for 1/23:
    Tracked: yes
    Under: yes
Exercised: yes - 2 hours of housework (hope that counts)

I think it's important for me to always track lunch so that I don't forget what I ate and can stay on board with tracking for the day.

@maryc11 you are down 16 pounds for the month, that's an average of over 5 pounds each week. That is absolutely nothing to sigh about!

For reference, I started my weight loss in November 2018 at 246.0 and it has been a very up and down journey. I had months with a 15 pound loss, months with a 2 pound loss, and some months with a gain. I am in the mid 160s now, and I am grateful for all I've learned along the way, no matter how slow things have gone at times.

Trust what you're doing! Weight loss is not a straight line. And I can guarantee you have lost these 16 pounds faster than you put them on. Keep doing what you are doing, and you are headed on the right path.

Also, I've found in the past, losing too fast in a short amount of time (2014, 70 pounds in 5 months) makes it almost impossible to develop good habits and learn how to maintain. That is why, by 2018, I had gained all but two pounds back. This time, I'm losing much slower, and I'm learning how to indulge on special occasions :)

Some very helpful lessons. And, wow--that chart! You can really see how much you have accomplished--so inspiring!

Weigh in, January Week 26 😜
    Last week 330lbs
    This week 334lbs

Sorry guys, I had my covid vaccine this week and it absolutely floored me! After 48hrs with a fever and chills I just ate ate ate - and ate some more - I was like a possessed animal, literally ate enough to feed a small village 😜 But I’m over it now and I’m ready to get back to some normality and self care! ✅
