Q7. I don't remember that far back for my own children, LOL! But my youngest daughter had her then 2 1/2 year old son doing his own laundry! It is a game once a week to put all his dirty clothes in the washer, add the detergent tab, and start the machine. When done washing, he would transfer the clothes to the dryer and start the machine. When done, he would help fold. Of course my daughter oversaw the whole process and helped him when needed. Her husband does his own clothes as well. They now have a 5 month old son, I wonder if the now almost 4 year old will do his younger brother's laundry 'for fun'??!! LOL! He may!

Love it! LOL! When I was a child my MOM gave me a fairy πŸ§šβ€β™€οΈ wand that was SO special (LOL!) that I could swipe down all the furniture and sweep up all magical πŸ§™β€β™€οΈ POWDER on the furniture! OH my goodness!!

    These are great stories!!!!

Sister seems to be a filter for Glennon. She reminds her of what is appropriate and not, even if it means "lying".

    Week 3, Question 9
I guess I just don't like Glennon, there I said it....... just telling my truth.... LOL! She is always trying to find a cop-out and not taking responsibility.

If I could resign from one everyday duty it would be cooking 3 meals a day! Hot breakfasts here at my house, along with a salad or maybe left overs from the day before for lunch, then a hot dinner with a meat and side. No precooked meals, no packaged stuff....buy, prep, cook, and then clean it all up. My husband has offered but he cooks awful, so somebody has to do it. He has major health issues so I am the one that does most of the work around the house. He will load/unload the dishwasher at times. So cooking is one of the duties I would give up if I had the option.

I vote for: The Gifts of Imperfection: Let Go of Who You Think You're Supposed to Be and Embrace Who You Are. Brene Brown

I am sorry for you to handle everything and especially with your husbands health issues. You have a lot on your plate. What would be helpful to you, recipe ideas or planning for cooking since it falls all on your shoulders?

I also had very hard time connecting with Glennon on this book.

    MARCH’s BOOK is:

The Gifts of Imperfection: Let Go of Who You Think You're Supposed to Be and Embrace Who You Are. Brene Brown [/i][/quote]

    All the best my friend!

Do you think she is being her authentic self?

Perhaps for her it is authentic. I honestly haven't read enough to know what Sister's true self would be.

We would go out either for lunch or dinner before covid which helped. Can't wait until we can go out again.

We have our favorite foods and I have meal rotations that helps, but I am always looking for spicy and flavorable foods. I love Jamican Jerk spices and use it often on chicken and fish. I'm open to ideas!

    Thanks!

I have to say I am skimming my way through the rest of the book. I do like how authentic Glennon is, however, I am having a difficult time connecting with her on this book.

I was able read about half of last month's book and I enjoyed what I read. I enjoyed how authentic the author was. I am looking forward to picking up this new book at the library.
