    Weekly check-in

Great news on your Dr. visit Seilidhe! Keep it going!

Not much to say about this week, didn't get to log every meal, so I have to get back to that routine. I had a meal out (masked and very much socially distanced) and had 1 glass of wine with dinner! Nice mixed salad topped with cod. Rest of the week were meals made at home.

Still losing slowly, was hoping to see a 10 pounds loss after 2 months. Close, but will need another 1-2 weeks to see that.

    Good Morning!

    Weekly Weigh-In

    SW - 196.9
    Height - 5' 2"
    Age - 34
    GW - 165

    2/24/21 = 196.9
    3/3/21 = 195.7

So glad to finally see the number on the scale going down again! I'd managed to lose almost 30 pounds in the last year or so but I hit a rough patch in January. I was working out (strength training & C25K) but I wasn't doing a good job with eating right for a while. I would do great during the day and then in the evening when my kids had their evening snacks my willpower would fly out of the window and I'd eat too much junk food. But this week I am finally back on track with healthy eating/snacking in addition to my workouts!

Hope everyone has a great week!!

    March 7: 207.9

Weight lost this week: 4.1 pounds

Successes this week- working out every day with Gina B- Up to the Beat Fitness on UTube.
Happy to get in my 30 minutes of exercise every day and walk the dog every day. Logging my food... all of it. I’ve been consistently getting over 10,000 steps and eating at or under my calorie goal.

For lunch this week I’ve been eating premade chopped salads...all of it...and it takes me longer to eat since I graze on it all afternoon.
By doing this, my need to snack has stopped. It’s been strangely amazing! I’m am not starving at all, either!

Setbacks- No real setbacks this week! Just need to drink more water.

Here is to a March restart and upcoming Spring!

Oops... forgot to do this yesterday.

    Age: 62
    Height: 5'7" (or thereabouts)
    SW (1/1/2021) = 186.8
    GW = 145-150

    1/4 = 186.2
    1/11 = 184.8
    1/18 =183.4
    1/25 =184.0
    2/1 = 182.5
    2/8 = 181.6
    2/15 = 179.2
    2/22 = 183.7
    3/1 = 181.4
    3/9 = 181.4

Setbacks/Challenges: Stress. Yeah, ongoing. My daughter and I spent about 6 hours on the phone/computer with DES, Unemployment, Social Security, and Credit Karma yesterday trying to determine whether someone has stolen her identity or just her social security number. DES sent a letter saying they were going to cancel her food stamps because she didn't provide proof of unearned income for unemployment/pandemic aid benefits she supposedly received. I don't know who got that money, but it wasn't her. She hasn't received unemployment in 4 years and when we tried to log into her account, nothing we tried could get us in ("The information entered doesn't match what's in our system.") In the end, a scam report was made with SSA, a fraud complaint was made with Unemployment (but it could be at least 2 months before an investigator gets to us), and the complaint numbers were sent to DES. She'll call DES in a couple of days to see what's going on with them and, if necessary, she'll file an appeal. Sorry... TMI, I know. Just had to vent. In the meantime, her paranoia/panic attacks have curtailed my outside time, and my inner boulder has decided to test the theory regarding rolling stones gathering no moss and wants to prove that neither do sedentary rocks that sit on the couch with their phone, computer, and/or a book. We'll see how that goes.

Successes? Well, I maintained. Not sure how. Calories and carbs apparently didn't exist in my life this week. There was pizza, burgers (with buns), fries, a Philly's cheesesteak, dinner rolls, and the occasional chocolate chunk cookie. I still have some hair left. And I still wake up on the right side of the grass. Oh yeah, and I got my second COVID vaccine with no ill side-effects.

Plans - more water, less carbs, and more exercise. :)

    3/3/21 = 195.7
    3/10/21 = 194.6

Successes: I haven't missed a single work out since last check in.. I've been increasing my weights in the gym and moving forward with the C25K program (I don't really have a deadline so I've been repeating days/weeks) and I've been fairly consistent with logging all my food.

Challenges: SNACKING!! While I'm cleaning or getting snacks for my kiddos I find it extremely difficult to stop myself from endulging. I'm also not quite reaching my water goals everyday.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week!!

Well, too many calories, too many carbs, not enough exercise. It snowed on Saturday. WTF? This is Tucson. Snow twice in one year? Yeah, I know, I know.... the snow here is gone within a couple of hours (if that long) and we don't have to deal with what a lot of you have to deal with, but it's a big deal around here to see some of the white stuff. :) At any rate, Saturday was cold, breezy, and wet. It was mostly the "breezy and wet" part that kept me inside because it made it feel colder. Yesterday, on the other hand, was gorgeous, in the mid-60s. Still a little too breezy for my tastes, but c'est la vie. My daughter and I walked to the restaurant just down the street for breakfast. I was not a good girl. And then my other daughter took us out for Mexican food last night. Again, I was not a good girl. Still stressing over everything. Asked my daughter to call DES today to see if they've made any determinations and she didn't remember anything that she'd done or been told last Monday. So, we'll call tomorrow when I can be with her. I'm also looking into getting temporary legal guardianship over her until such time as her cognitive abilities return so that I can deal with everybody, since they won't talk to me right now.

A plus? I found a bike for my daughter that I will pick up next weekend, so I've promised her I am going to force her to ride with me every weekend. That will get her out of the house and moving. Which can only be a good thing, right?

Hope you all have a fantastic week!

Same old, same old. Still dealing with DES and Unemployment. Talked to a lawyer today re the temp guardianship. and decided that my daughter and I will actually go in and try to someone face to face at DES on Monday. I hope this gets straightened soon. I'm back on the Rx strength antacid due to stress issues again. And I really thought I handled stress well. But I guess there is a limit for everything, huh?

Got my daughter a bike. Sadly, the person who gave it to us slightly underestimated its current rideability. So it's in the shop. Needs tires, cables, and brakes adjusted. Also the chain and gears need cleaning as they were pretty badly rusted. But... it's a decent bike and once everything is cleaned, it should work well for her. And, although it's costing me money to fix it, I got the bike for free, so it's still going to cost me less than a new bike.

Trying to get back on track with the eating. And with drinking water. Enjoying my solo bike rides. Didn't run this week as my heel hurts. Don't know if I need new shoes or new feet. I'm leaning towards new feet. ;)

It's Spring and the weather is pretty nice. This week. Looks like we'll be near 90 next week. Yup. Summer is coming.

    Have a good week y'all!

Firstly, I want to note that this weight was taken on the scale at the gym since I forgot to weigh on my scale at home before I left, so I'm not sure how it compares to my scale.

I'm back! Didn't get to update last week due to a stomach bug that my kids and I caught from daycare. 1 yr old son first, then me, then 4 yr old daughter. What a miserable week it was! After disinfecting the ENTIRE house plus washing every pillow, blanket, sheet, sofa cushion cover and even the living room rug! I AM EXHAUSTED! I don't wish that on anyone!

May not update next week either since we are spending the week at our family camp on the lake next week. I hope y'all continue to kick butt and have a great couple of weeks!
