Hi all...I need to go down & walk on the treadmill (been raining all day), but thought I would get on here first.

@cbabie I hate it when I lose my post!! Good job with the cleaning..want to come to my house? lol. Keep tracking.

@theslightedgeforever Sounds like you are doing well with the PT. After I broke my leg, I did PT for quite awhile, but have gotten away from the exercises. I probably should still be doing them some. That's crazy with the names!

@trooworld Glad the drops are helping your doggie. Our pets are definitely like kids! Hope you have a relaxing day & get to read a little.

@gemwolf Sorry to hear you had such a bad reaction to the shot. I didn't, so hope it is still doing its job, lol.

@TeresaW1020 Good luck getting back with it. I am having the same problem since our little trip. Since we were all vaccinated, we ate in a restaurant a few times. It seemed so normal, lol!! But I relaxed a little too much on my food & didn't log, so the scale has not been my friend since.

Well, not much else for news here. SIL still having a mild case of Covid, thank goodness. Since dd has still been teaching, I have been texting him each morning to check up on him. (& nagging him about checking his O2 level, lol) I guess the other day he texted gd & asked for a granola bar. So she opened the stair door & threw it down to him! (not going to get close, lol) The gkids could go back to school Monday if they have a negative test, or Thursday without a test as long as no symptoms. I think they are going to do the Thursday. Gs was sad because he would miss some baseball games (he's 11), but the games got rescheduled because they didn't have enough for a team....he's in quarantine, one teammate broke his finger, and another was hurt. I'm kinda glad because it has been raining & they play regardless. Not fun to watch in the rain!

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

@cbabie Well at least you came to visit today! Unfortunately, the stress is not over: he's had bad diarrhea for the past 3 days. The vet has prescribed some probiotics so hopefully that will help. Plus, his eye is still not healed all of the way. :(

@theslightedgeforever Yesterday...I tracked everything and didn't eat any of the Tony's Chocolonely bar that I bought. I also ate yogurt and berries for breakfast and cottage cheese with berries for lunch because I knew I was going to have a high-point dinner. I got 25%. Hahaha yeah that song goes well with his name! :) I got one book yesterday: The Diviners by Libba Bray. It's the first book in a series. It's supposed to be good.

@RetiredAndLovingIt Thanks, me too! Our pets ARE like kids. I did enjoy the day. LOL about the granola bar! I'm glad he has a mild case.

Hi all. I'm so tired, I got 5 hours of lousy sleep. I was up half the night with the dog, he has had bad diarrhea for the past 3 days. We got some probiotics from the vet but they aren't working yet. I'm going back to bed lol. TTYL.

@trooworld Yeah, as I told you in the other group, I’m sure the Easter chocolate bunny triggered the binge. I’ve been listening to a podcast about food addiction and how it hijacks the brain. I’ve got all the classic symptoms which sucks but I also understand what’s happening and working on prevention is going to be the key to success. :/ I hope you are enjoying your weekend!

@theslightedgeforever I feel fine after the shot. My arm hurt a bit and I had a headache the next morning. I’m just really hoping the second shot goes as easily as the first one. Yeah, no shake and fries would have been a better choice or at least just one…and NOT the large size! Tracking stopped when I went off plan and because I went off plan and overate sugar and carbs I get extra hungry which affects my fasting times. It’s all a vicious circle and an epic fail! :# That is great that your PT is going so well. What a funny story with the other patient and you all having the same name. Ohhh and I’ll take you for a sister as well. We need to have a family reunion! :D

@cbabie I agree that part of our lifestyle should have days of indulgences. I don’t think it’s good to do any one thing all the time, but it’s not good for me to go off plan four times in one week. :s

Good morning! Well, I’m happy to say that I’ve been back on track the last couple of days and the scale is slowly moving back down. It’s so crazy how fast the scale will jump up and how long it takes to go back down. This is why maintenance must be so very hard for people once they reach goal. But since never giving up is my motto, I will keep on getting back up and moving forward. I have church this morning and then this afternoon, I plan to work on the puzzle that has been driving me crazy for a way too long now. It needs to get done and get out of my life! :/

@TeresaW1020 That's great, you have always been so insightful on your journey and I really admire that. It is crazy how easy it goes up and hard it goes down. Enjoy your day!

Hi all. I went back to sleep on the couch and I feel a lot better now after another 2 hours sleep. I felt like a zombie when I first woke up. I wanted to wax my car myself but I think I'll just take it to the car wash and ask how much they charge, I don't have the energy to do it.

@retiredandlovingit So now that you are home, back to the basics that you know work for you to get back in the good graces with your scale. I had the same thought as you about cbabie and cleaning. lol I'm chuckling about you nagging about the 02 levels. I sent my kids a pulse oximeter so they could check theirs if needed. You make me miss baseball season. That was a part of our life for so long.

@trooworld Woohoo on your good choices. That book series sounds good. I'm sorry your doggy is having such problems. It can be tiring.

@teresaw1020 I too am working on downsizing and reducing portion sizes of foods that would be better that I did not indulge in very often. So how about work on tracking no matter what you are eating. It can help with awareness of just how many carbs and sugar grams that we can put away if we aren't careful. I think maintenance would be easy for me if I could ever reach goal. lol I can bing bong back and forth around the same range. It's just not at my ideal range.

    Hey all

I hope everyone is doing well! Been thinking of you lately. I'm ok. Things are still not normal here though- gyms closed. Will be a yr now since I've been able to see my trainer regularly.

I'm still focused on maintaining and doing OK with that.

My bike is getting a tune up at end of April and then I can start biking again. I had a couple falls last yr so will be more careful this yr.

The good news is I bought a condo and am moving in 6 weeks. That was a big goal for me. It was stressful but I'm happy now. It is right near a good path for biking and walking so I am happy with that. I can't jog anymore but I can walk about an hour.

I am busy packing to move and also busy at work but will try to pop by once everything is settled.

I hope you all had a good Easter! Take care.

@its_cleo Hi, it’s great to see you pop in! That is great that you bought the condo. I remember you talking about it. It sounds like it’s going to be a good move for you. Have fun with the move and use your packing as a time to purge all the things that don’t spark you joy. :)

@theslightedgeforever I agree that tracking no matter what is a better idea than sticking my head in the sand singing, lalalalalala! The scale sure doesn’t hide anything, does it? I have no idea what maintenance is going to be like, but I sure do want to find out!

@trooworld I hope you got some better sleep last night. Yeah, I would totally take my car in for someone to wax it. Mine needs a good bath something fierce but we are waiting for the yellow pollen to subside. :/

Good morning! Yesterday, instead of staying home after church, DH and I went and ran some errands and then went to Chicos to look at clothes. This was the first time I’ve ever gone in. The sales lady was so great and after she found out that I had lost 80 lbs. she kept bringing me clothes to try on so that I could figure out what my new style is. I tried on a pair of size 12 jeans but they were too big in the waist, so I got a size 10. What!!!! I also bought a really cute top that was on sale. Their prices are higher than I’m used to paying for clothes but once I reach my goal, I will love splurging on some nicer pieces that I will keep for years. Today, I have my eye appointment to talk about getting contacts. I’m excited to find out if they will work for me and ditch having to wear glasses all the time. B)

@theslightedgeforever Thanks! Yes, I'm looking forward to the book series. My doggy's problems are VERY tiring!

@its_cleo It's good to hear from you! I'm glad you are okay. CONGRATULATIONS on the condo purchase, that's so exciting!!! I remember how much work moving was. Good luck!

@TeresaW1020 I did, I think the probiotics are starting to work: he didn't wake me up to go out only one time (the other night, it was at least 3 times). I love Chicos, that's awesome that you could fit into a size 10! :D Yeah, their clothes are really well made so you could totally have those pieces for a long time. It's worth it. Are you still thinking of Lasik?

Hi all. I took the car and got it detailed inside and out for a great price at my favorite car wash. It looks amazing! It took about 1 1/2 hours to do so I was a bit bored but that's okay. My Fitbit said I got "FAIR" sleep which is an improvement over the past two nights when it told me I got "POOR" sleep. I only woke up once in the night and that was to take the dog out. I usually wake up about 8-10 times. I must have been exhausted to not wake up. Unfortunately, I have to drive up to work today and be there for 8 hours. My dog should be okay, we took the rugs up in case he has an accident. I wish I could stay home but I've taken off work for part, or all, of the day the past 2 Mondays plus another day during the week because of the dog so I don't think I should chance it by taking more time off if it's not absolutely necessary.

@its_cleo So good to hear from you. I wondered how things were in Canada but I see not much has changed. Maybe this is all to teach us patience. That's great that you aren't gaining weight. How exciting for your new condo. Congrats.

@teresaw1020 You have been doing so well, maintenance will be here before you know it. Every time you post the word wax I say wax on wax off. lol I love Chicos. It's one of my favorite stores. Always go for the sales. If you have an outlet mall near you, there is a Chicos Outlet too.

@trooworld 50% I have had an uncharged Fitbit on my arm for 3 days now. I need to charge it. Everytime I think about it I get interrupted. So I'll go do that when I'm done. I'm ready to amp up the exercise since my knee is getting better everyday now.

Afternoon all, I am so sorry, I am overwhelmed and just wanted to pause and check in. Weight was up .6 and I have continually tracked. So far today I am emotionally eating. Not sure what is going on but this has to stop now...not going to keep it up all day. I have goals, don't my emotions know that? LOL

@theslightedgeforever 25% for me, too. LOL about the Fitbit. Did you finally charge it? That's great your knee is getting better and you feel ready for more exercise. You can take my exercise time. ;)

@cbabie What has been helping me lately when I feel overwhelmed is to pause and take 5 deep, slow breaths. Give it a try, I hope it helps. You are overwhelmed, it's no wonder you have emotionally ate BUT it won't help you to do that and I think you know that. How are you going to turn it around? How can you improve on your day from yesterday by 10%?

Hi all. Like @cbabie, I emotionally ate yesterday, I ate half a big chocolate bar. I think the stress and overwhelm of the vet issues finally got to me. I did stop at half at least, I really wanted to eat the whole thing. I need to go back and track. I didn't track everything from yesterday.

@trooworld Ugghhh, I know you hate when you stress eat. But dang you have been going through so much with your poor dog. I think it’s a win that you stopped at half the chocolate bar. But you should track it and then move on. :/

@theslightedgeforever We do have an outlet mall that is only 40 minutes away. They have a Chico's outlet and other great stores like Talbots and the Loft. Next time, I’m wanting new clothes we will drive out there for sure! I have to shop for the sales! Paying full price for clothes offends my need to get a bargain. :D

@cbabie I’m so sorry that you are going through another rough time. You have to look after yourself and the goals you want to achieve. There really isn’t any satisfaction in emotional eating but it sure is hard for us to not do it. Hang in there! <3

Good morning! Yesterday I went to my eye appointment and came out wearing one contact in my right eye. The doctor says my eyes look great and that my nearsightedness even slightly improved. Thank you IF! I’m not sure if I will like the mono-vision but they say it can take a week or two for my brain to adjust. I go back next week to see the contact specialist. I might have to switch to multi-focal contacts. I really want them to work! I started my new workout called Morning Meltdown 100 and it looks like it will be fun and challenging. Food is on point, but the scale is still moving super slowly back to where it was before Easter. I’m going to fast longer today and see if I can shake things up.

Morning all, Yesterday I didn't do like I always do, I had SOME self control. LOL I was over calories about 215, so not too bad. I am in a better place in my mind today. I am grateful for what I have. My dear sister is trying to get me to eat more fresh veggies. I don't like raw veggies. My mom wasn't a cook and I never really used to cook, more like BAKE..LOL or candies...So now I have to learn a new skill of cooking. LOL

@TeresaW1020 I did that one time with a contact...my eyes just don't do contacts well they are too dry and I live in AZ. I would like to try them again. My baby girl AGAIN smashed my glasses into my face and I thought I was going to have a bruise on my cheekbone. Glad you are getting back on track!!

@trooworld I am sorry you had a day like mine and teresaW1020 is right...it's okay and move on. Just think about LIFE..what if we couldn't recoup and move on from lets say a parent passing in their old age..it's something in life that happens, yet if you don't move on your life stops...I am learning a whole new perspective on eating and making myself fell bad and stopping.. I want LIFE and to enjoy it, not beating myself up everyday because I didn't do it perfect. LOL So that is why I got up this morning and TRACKED all that I ate yesterday and moved on..

@its_cleo SO glad to see you!!!! yea on your condo.. So happy for you

@cbabie Think of your goals as the parent and your emotions as the little bratty child throwing a tantrum. If you keep giving in to the child, the child becomes stronger and harder to control. It's okay to feel the emotions but not healthy for you to eat them. We all have days like this. Once we realize what we are doing, we can stop and head the other direction. It's good you took a pause and checked in with us for a recharge of your batteries. Listen to your wise sister. If she can start eating and cooking veggies, then you can. Slip veggies into an omelet if you like that. Salads are so easy. I don't like raw veggies except for carrots and sliced butternut squash. I will now eat cucumbers in a salad with carrots on a bed of spinach or spring mix in the bag. But I need dressing. Now for cooked veggies, there is a lot I like. Roasted veggies in the oven has to be one of the easiest things to make. You have a food processor, so easy to prep things that way. Plus teach that baby girl She can help in the kitchen by pushing the buttons or washing the veggies. Make veggies fun. (are you done rolling your eyes?)

@trooworld 50%. Fitbit. No :( Ask me again tomorrow. I think it's great that you only ate half the bar. That shows progress from when I first met you.

@teresaw1020 You will get back to pre-Easter weight. You are tenacious. I love the Loft but can't get myself to buy from Talbots because that is where my grandma used to shop when I was young. I can't wear Grandma clothes. ;)

@TeresaW1020 I do hate it, I feel like I'm kicking myself in the shin really hard! I did go back and track it, so that's good. I hope you get used to the one contact. I hope shaking things up helps.

@cbabie That's great you exercised some self-control. What was different about yesterday? It sounds like you tracked too, well done! Eating more veggies is a good idea. Thank you re: my day. I definitely need to move on! Thank you for your support. I am determined to make this work. I am. I need to stop the self-sabotage.

@theslightedgeforever I got about 50% too. Did you wear your Fitbit today/last night? Thanks for that perspective. <3

Hi all. Yesterday was a very frustrating day but it had nothing to do with my dog: on Monday, I got a laptop from work (I had been using my home computer to work on) and yesterday was the first day I used it and man, the connection to our network was so bad, it kept disconnecting every few minutes and then reconnecting. It wasn't just my computer, it happened to some of my coworkers as well. I think the network was just having issues yesterday (I hope it's not always like this!). I got so frustrated. I'm hoping today is better. My doctor prescribed me a new sleep medication. I'm starting off at a low dose and will increase it. I guess I slept a bit better than usual but I feel groggy from the medication. Hopefully that goes away.

@cbabie I LOVE roasting veggies! High heat, a little oil, seasonings, and roast until brown and yummy. My mom’s idea of veggies when I was growing up was opening a can. Yikes, I’ve had littles smash my glasses into my face before so I know that pain well. :#

@theslightedgeforever I am tenacious! Thanks for noticing. :D Maybe I need to look a little closer at Talbots clothes. I don’t want to look like a grandma either! :o

@trooworld I hope your network issues at work get sorted out. That is soooo frustrating! Fingers crossed that the new medication would help with your sleep. I woke up at 4 am so wide awake that I went and took another 5 mg. of melatonin. It helped me fall back to sleep until 7 am. Do you sleep in silence or use a fan? If I had to sleep in silence, I would never sleep. :)

Good morning! So, last evening I get a text from my hairstylist that her grandma is dying and can’t do my hair today and set me up for next week. I feel awful for her…and my poor hair that is now soooo overdue for some color on my grey roots. I am liking my new workout program. They are less than 30 minutes long so yesterday I did a double workout for upper body and core. I’m about to go in now and do one and then walk on the treadmill. I have some General Hospital to get caught up on. :)

@trooword I got 75% I'm getting better. No on the Fitbit but it's on the charger right now. Self-sabotage is the worst but it can be overcome. Just think about all the situations in which you sabotage yourself and then tackle them one at a time. I hope you get some good sleep. I have a hard time making good choices when I'm tired. Although I probably tell my brain that and so I act on that. I need to change my messaging.

@teresaw1020 It's always a good thing when you like your workout program. I did a good one today. I think moms of our generation only knew how to open a can for veggies. Probably the same veggies too. lol Grandmas of today are sexier I think than my Gramma was. Let me go check the current Talbots website. Some I would wear. Some I wouldn't. I like silence when I sleep. My hubby can have the TV blaring next to him. If I shut it off, he wakes up. But I like a fan and he doesn't. I tell him if he was menopausal, then he would want the fan. Sad about your hairdresser's grandma. Thinking about General Hospital makes me think of my granny. If you visited when her "stories" were on, you weren't allowed to talk. Good thing she used to watch same as me. ABC soaps. Afterwards she and I would talk about the character storylines and my mom would say, you act like they are real. Granny said they are real, I see them everyday. :D

@TeresaW1020 Me too, I'm going to put in an IT ticket today because yesterday was just as frustrating! I might have to up the dose of the new medication, it's not helping enough. I'm sorry you didn't sleep well but glad the melatonin helped. I do not sleep in silence: we live right by the freeway and hear the whoosh of the traffic from that, it sounds like ocean waves. Plus, when it is hot enough, I use a fan. That's too bad about your hairstylist and the appointment. I hope the next week flies by! How's your back with the new workouts?

@theslightedgeforever That's great, well done! Being on the charger is one more step to being on your wrist. ;) Thanks for the advice on self-sabotage. I think I need to write about it. I have a hard time making good choices when I am tired, too. According to my Fitbit, I got "GOOD" sleep. I feel tired though, probably because of the sleeping pill. How is your knee?

Hello all. I'm glad it's almost Friday. It's been kind of a tough week. I didn't eat the best yesterday, we ordered delivery sandwiches for lunch. Of course, I had to have chips with it. :( I need to do better. I can do better. I will do better.

@trooworld I got 100% Fitbit is on my wrist. I guess babysteps as you say. Yesterday I did a YouTube cardio workout and even though I modified it in certain places, I don't think I'm ready yet for that kind of workout. My leg ached all night long and knee was hurting again. So I guess I will just take the rest of the week and just walk. Then try again next week and do the workout and see how I feel. I'm glad you got some good sleep. Yes you will do better.
