I wore a somewhat fitted workout tank to the gym instead of my usual oversized t-shirt and I did not completely hate the way it looked on me20

I've been steadily losing weight for around 3 months, having lost around 13lb since then. Today, I had my very first "have you lost weight?" comment from a friend I see almost every day (she's a mum I see at the school gate when dropping the kids off) and it made my day!25

my weight has been down 40 lbs for three years. No one says anything to me any more about losing weight but after I took a picture someone did post something like you have lost weight. Felt good, I said No, just staying about the same.11

I went to the doctor to tell them I want to lose weight. I have never done that before but I am officially in the risk group for Covid with my current BMI of 33 and I hate that. So I said I want the vaccine as soon as I can get it but I also want to lose weight as I don't want to be in any risk group for being obese or overweight. I was so embarrassed, but the doctor was nice and encouraging and she gave me names of nutritionists I should talk to. So overcoming my embarrassement and getting information is quite a success for me.
good for you to ask for help. Asking for help is such a huge hurdle! You will learn so much from a nutritionist. for me I have found I know what to eat and what not, my problem was my brain. Something with food in there was disconnected. I have spent the last year and a half with an online support group run by a health coach to learn the "why" I eat and not necessarily the "what" to eat. I have learned so much about myself and have been able to make some positive changes due to that group. Find your support group to help you along the way, including everyone here. You can do this!!12 -
I can see arm muscles! (Can't identify them, though.) This is from doing weights for the past four months or so. I have never had visible arm muscles in my life.23

My aunt and mom came to a very lavish tea party I threw and my aunt took a picture of me from across the tea table, and when I looked at it I realized I have lost weight in my face. That was a surprise, because I didn't think my face looked all that different yet.19

girls just look at me more in school n *kitten* now, also they start conversations with me more. part of this has to do with the weight loss but i think i also just carry myself more confidently now19

i had a blood test today and my Triglycerides have gone done by 2/3 in the last 4 weeks - instead of 157 they are now at 51; not sure if that is even possible but doctor was happy and so am I!21

It's my mom's birthday today and we cut two cakes- one was sent over by my aunt. I thought I would attack the chocolate cake as it's my most favourite dessert but I only ate half a slice as i didn't like the heavy cream. Abstenance from desserts during lockdown last year has made me lose my sweet tooth!!17

I made banana muffins for breakfasts to use up the old bananas.
I did not eat one while they were warm.15 -
I finally walked 3.5 miles in an hour, so speed and endurance has built up tremendously from where I started 4 months ago when I started out at 15 minutes at a time in the driveway.25

I bought a Vegan Galaxy Caramel Sea Salt Bar out of curiousity and ate half and through the rest in the bin because I liked the chocolate but didn't like the caramel, much too sweet and salty for my taste. At one time I wouldn't have thrown the other half away and would have eaten it the next day because it was chocolate. I am learning and changing habits!15

Great NSV Lynn! It's amazing how tastes can change.
Today I did a shoulder stand. Not really hard to do - but it was much easier than I thought it would be. Haven't done one in almost a decade. No way could I have done one that easily, this time last year.

I can easily fasten the clasp on the waist belt that I wear when I go out walking. Couldn't do that a month ago.16

I reached my Apple watch’s April challenge of going 356.1km a day early. I remember looking at the challenge when it first popped up and being hesitant in my ability to reach it. 11.3km per day seemed like a lot. I’m lucky I have an active job where I do anywhere up to 18,000 steps (10 hour days)
Also- I hummed and hahhed about going for my c25k walk/jog this afternoon and by the time I finished debating with myself the sun was well and truly down (I dislike the shorter days coming into winter!) so instead of doing nothing I done a tabata workout on YouTube and worked harder than I would have on my walk/jog12
