Please feel free to share as much information as you feel comfortable sharing about yourself with the rest of the group. I look forward to getting to know all of you a little better.
GOOD LUCK!

This will be my Fourth month with UAC, I'm doing so much better then ever, in regards of exercising. I'm looking forward to May, my March and April were rough so far but hopefully May will be a perfect month when it comes to dieting and exercising.
My goal is to reach between 75~68 by July, I'm currently 78.6 kilos, so I'm getting really close to my goal despite all the hindrance. Being a member in this group made me keep going where I would have stopped before, I'm thankful for finding UAC.8 -
Back for month six.6

This will be my 7th full month in the UAC. I've lost almost 40lbs and am only about 20lbs away from my goal weight! My 60th bday is May 2 and I'll be taking a pass day - and my sister's bday is the 8th (another pass day). So with 2 pre-planned pass days I'll need to walk the straight and narrow for the rest of the month. In April I re-set my calorie goal to 1900/day which is my best guess at maintenance calories as I hurt my knee at the end of March and knew that I wouldn't be getting many steps. I began IF in April and am happy to say that I've maintained the same weight throughout the month!8

Hello! I am brand new to this group. My biggest problem is not staying accountable to myself. I am 42 and need to lose 35lbs to get into a healthy BMI range. I joined Noom to get some help from the coach and the group, but was really disappointed at the lack of support. I really like the idea of this group!9

@AnnieUTT As a long time MGP & NOOm member, I recommend asking for a new NOOM Coach (if you are still using them). My new coach made ALL the difference!1 -
Hello all. This group kept me motivated and accountable for a very long time and then I simply ... Anyway, I maintained for over a year but in the last 6 weeks I have gained 9 pounds. I have not been weighing my food for many months and I have not been moving. I woke up today, stepped on the scale, and thought - this stops today. I logged on this morning for the first time in so long, feeling quite unmotivated, to find a message from @Chinkiri that she sent yesterday. Thank you! Since the stars are all aligned, I am starting today.11

Hi all. I’m new to MFP but old timer at the trying to lose weight thing. I have started many times but always lose my way and go back to old habits. I finally realized I need accountability and support. I live away from family and have no friends here where I moved 2 years ago. I’m 37 so I decided I will do this whatever it takes! I have 105lbs to lose so I’ll do it one step at a time. I know it will take me over a year to reach my goal but that’s fine with me if it means I get to keep the weight off once and for all. Cannot wait to start this challenge!10

I’m here again. Haven’t made much progress in the last few months but stayed at a reasonable weight. Still need to drop the last few kgs to my goal weight and I’m ready to get my routines back into place for that. Jiu Jitsu competitions are starting up again here so I have something to work towards even if I’m not competing in all of them, training with the competition squad pushes me harder. I’m away for five days fetching parents from visiting my brother in Cape Town, but should be able to keep a decent routine even with the trip. Excited to get back into the zone, even though it is heading into winter.8

Welcome and welcome back! I joined UAC in January and can tell you this group is amazing. I’ve only made it to the winners circle in March but that’s OK because my weight is tracking down. I’ve been inspired, challenged, and encouraged here. Just don’t give up and don’t be in too much of a hurry. Slow and steady isn’t glamorous, but it is sustainable.11

Hello! Coming back for month #5 of the UAC. I'm transitioning into maintenance and learning to think of that as an active process, which is a new way of thinking for me. This group has been so helpful in offering encouragement whenever I need it!9

I'm also back again. I will try and state some micro aims for this month tomorrow, still thinking about it, and I need a weigh-in first!7

I’ve never done this challenge so hoping it will keep me accountable. I had a rough year . I’m an Icu nurse and my body has been through some bad spots. Last year I got my hip replaced due to arthritis and just my job, it went well but got two blood clots 2 weeks later and then covid in December . I was pretty sick but have been fighting to get to the road of recovery . I gained about 15 lbs and knew I had to do something . April 5 I started a low carb plan and have lost a few lbs but I need accountability to keep me in line.10

I'm back again for my 3rd month. Haven't made it to the winner's circle yet but everyday is a new day to restart and try to be better than the day before.
Welcome and welcome back to everyone.6 -
Hi UAC family! It's May already, eh? Mmmk, here goes nothing from this bilingual Canadian.
My goal? Maintain my body fat in the low 20% range (or, gulp, high teens) since I've never been able to do that before. Along the way, getting stronger, more flexible, and working on mobility improvements are fun bonuses.
I'm in a body recomp phase right now and will likely be in this phase until autumn.
Ultimately, I'm here to stay with UAC because this part - the body fat and weight loss - is easier for me. Once the recomp is done, the maintaining might be a heavier mental struggle/commitment to self.
MAY Exercise: Theresa DePasquale's 90-day workout program (Phase 2), kettlebells and stair climbing
MAY Nutrition: Hit my protein macro (40%) at least once a week 😭 and keep fat macro between 25%-29% for the month's average
I start on May 1 with a redo of the Cooper Test. Back in NOV2020, I was "AVERAGE" for my age and gender according to the Cooper Test (I jogged 1.5 miles in 16:15 and could only do 21 modified push-ups). Ideally, I'll be sub-14 min for the running portion and able to do a substantial number of traditional push-ups instead of modified ones.

I’m back for my fourth month of UAC though I took a break for the last two weeks of April. I feel like my weight loss is split into two sections, the first is done which was losing the excess weight I gained in 2020, but I’m still heavier than I want to be, and heavier than is healthy. I’ve found it hard to keep going now that I’m back at this familiar weight but I have realised in the two weeks that I took off from the challenge that I’m happier when I’m doing it than when I’m not! Looking forward to posts every day, I’ve missed them!7

I’m back for month #5 (I think). Weight loss is slow but would be even slower without the accountability so here I am.6

Back again. This time under doctors orders.
I am a 52yo married father of one. I used to be a regular on UAC, but life had other plans.
I have had some quite severe mental health challenges and part of my recovery is re-joining UAC. This is why doctors orders.
The last 16 months have been very trying. Due to medication and personal circumstances I put on over 20kg (40lbs) in that time. The medication slowed my metabolism and increased my appetite. The medications also made it mentally difficult to get out and exercise. Literally this has put me back at my starting weight (and fitness) of when I first joined UAC.
UAC had been a lifeline (literally). I used to enjoy the daily reporting and reading others accomplishments. It kept me in touch with people.
Now I need the support again. I am still on a number of medications. However, hopefully with UAC, the support and re-establishing the habits that got me to an ideal weight and fitness; I can get back there again.
I do have one advantage from where I started last time. All the knowledge from the research I had done I still have. I know what works (and what worked for me). I just need to do again what I have done before.23 -
