    Day 27 –05/01 …..213.8….. Woke up ready to kill the beginning of this challenge, even tho I started a month late, I'm ready to shred it! Spent most of the day studying and decluttering our downstairs. Added in a 3.75km walk with my pup.
    Day 28 – 05/02 …..213.6….. Today I will be spending most of my time catching up on my studies and working at our janitorial business,  great way to up my steps 💪🏽
    Day 29 – 05/03 …..213.6….. No change this morning.  It's Monday! Working all day and more studying. If I have the energy later I will throw in a work out DVD, since there is rain in the forecast.
    Day 30 – 05/04 …..214.0….. not liking the small gain but I am not worried,  I have been eating healthy and staying on track. One of these days I will be in oneder land and will forget about this small struggle 💪🏽.

    I saw an increase in weight today. But, I kept going ahead with my routine, got my workout in, missed my step goal today though. 😄

    Day 17 - 04/21 …..207.0…..Good day yesterday. However, very very late dinner and very early weigh in probably explains. Travel today to the dentist. UGH.
    Day 18 – 04/22 …..207.2….. slightly up after yesterday’s travels. More travels today (Covid #2 shot) but I may try to just eat at home as I will be home in just a matter of a few (3-4) hours. Last night was an indulgent dessert that was way too dense and sweet. I should have left some of it on the plate but I didn’t. I’m glad the uptick is only 0.2 . Hopefully more will not creep up on the scale later because of it.
    Day 19 – 04/23 …..208.6….. I feel weak, dizzy and horrid today after the shot yesterday but I am still grateful that I could get it. A slight headache too, but no fever or chills. I woke up at 4:00 a.m and couldn’t get back to sleep. There is no way I can stay sitting up today. Even with the expected work crew, I’ve got to stay laying down. Tons of water yesterday. I ended up with subway because we passed one and my brother wanted it so bad (he doesn’t drive). Too much junk last night on the grab and go. Too bad my appetite wasn’t affected. Eating felt fine.
    Day 20 – 04/24 …..206.6….. My scale is all over the place. I think yesterday’s weigh-in may have been because I was super-hydrating after the vaccination and bloated with water (?). Two pounds is a lot to drop when I ate just fine in light of, otherwise, feeling bad Feeling better today. You are right about this thing @Lilylady3k : It is worth feeling like you have the flu for one day in order to be protected. A real flu would last much longer. Today the tree service is coming to chop down some scary trees and my work crew will be here to help with the clean-up and then (hopefully) do a little more work in the bathroom and laundry area. I am grateful for the drop on the scale.
    Day 21 – 04/25 …..206.0….. burned 4000 calories in yardwork yesterday. More scheduled for today. Gnats swarmed and now my right eye is swollen up and I’m itching all over. Will still try to make a good day of it.
    Day 22 – 04/26 …..204.0….. So thrilled! Doing the happy dance. Tree clean-up is complete except for a one small area that they still need to cut up. Bad weather for the next 3 days so that will come later this week. Snow/rain mix today. Thunderstorms tomorrow followed by rain on Wednesday predicted. I am so happy right now. I feel so liberated and smart!
    Day 23 – 04/27 …..205.4….. I am shocked but not shocked. I thought it was too good to be true! Yesterday was an extremely successful day in the food department. Both calories and carbs were very low. So low, in fact, that I experienced a small glucose drop. I caught it very quickly (while idly sitting, sitting, sitting waiting for my limestone pad to be poured, my stumps to be excavated out and my new shed to be brought in by the Amish). I handled the drop easily at the beginning of feeling sickly. No binge. I slept really really good last night with more sleep than normal. The only explanation is that my calorie burn and steps were way down due to having to stay away from the work being done outside. Lots of sitting. Only 5600 steps and only 2200 calories burned. I’ll try to get in more activity today although rain and thunderstorms are on the way any minute. I am still very happy to losing consistently. Even with the uptick overnight, my fat percentage went down. Thai food is being brought in by a friend tonight from out of town for me. Lots of healthy veggies, chicken breast and curry. However, the sodium will not be good. I will eat half today and half tomorrow. Going to push water all day. I liked the look of that number 4 in my readings yesterday. Going to get back there asap.
    Day 24 – 04/28 …..205.6….. No Thai food afterall which was probably a blessing. Weight is still trending down at trendweight.com . Fat % is really going down. It now says I will reach my goal by 2023. That is way way better than the 2050’s and the 2030’s so I am pleased.
    Day 25 – 04/29 …..207.2….. I have no idea what is going on. It was a meatless day yesterday. All veggies for dinner with a little sour cream and oatmeal for breakfast. Very low calorie. The only thing I can think of is that I did have some sunflower seed kernals for a snack last night. A small measured amount but they were salted. I will watch my diet carefully today and push water and see what happens tomorrow. I do know this…..my body really wants to stay in the 7’s and I’m just not having it!
    Day 26 – 04/30 …..206.2….. Horridly high glucose in the middle of the night. Almost called an ambulance (there is a tiny hospital one hour away) when my numbers hit 565. Should be about 80-90. Found some old medication I am no longer on to supplement my current diabetes medication and took it. Walked my backyard in the dark and downed some apple cider vinegar shots. Finally, after no sleep, I got it down to 200. The hunger (a symptom) was ravenous but food would have made a high glucose level worse so I had to suffer through that. Tweaking my diet, trying to change things up for the better is just affecting me in an unfair way. It’s an obstacle course but I will continue to try to navigate it and get to the other side with the changes I need. I see my doctor on the 11th. I will talk to her about my options although I HATE the idea of going back on extra meds because I can’t seem to substantially lose weight. I am nervous about how today will go. Watching things carefully. In the meantime, I am grateful for the drop on the scale and the small loss for April.

    Day 27 – 05/01 …..206.6….. Not a good start for May but I’ll stay on top of it today.
    Day 28 – 05/02 …..207.4….. This time it was a severe sugar drop while in my car the next town over. Feeding frenzy in the car with snacks bought at the gas station. I ate until it stopped. Not good because that usually means it goes too high afterward from the food but I swear, it is instinct to eat, eat, eat until you can feel the difference. My body is really fighting me on dietetic changes. Even exercise. I will win this battle! I know my journey is a bit different than most of yours, but I appreciate you all being here with me on mine as I navigate and overcome.
    Day 29 – 05/03 …..207.4….. This should have dropped a bit after a good day yesterday. My body is just fighting me and being stubborn (which is also part of my normal personality lol) but persistence should pay off.
    Day 30 – 05/04 …..206.6….. I am traveling today for a bone scan. Found a new kitty in the woods next to my yard day before yesterday. I am trying to find an owner on Facebook but no hits yet. I hope I get to keep her. I’ve already named her Pebbles. She is a sweet young thing.
    Day 31 – 05/05 …..208.8….. Crazy ridiculous but I checked it 3 times. Yesterday was little movement due to travel. No breakfast, no lunch and only half my restaurant dinner. But I did eat a mile high slice of cheesecake (that’s why I gave away half my dinner). The numbers don’t add up, hopefully better tomorrow.

    Back to accountability. I did not journal my food over the last 3 days ... only my alcohol consumption. Weight is up ... no wonder! No walking, little diet and lots of stress. Time to turn it back around.

All the company at my house has left, my DD & her husband are on their honeymoon, my mom is around for a couple more days for doctors’ appts, and I’m caring for DD’s 2 golden doodles … so lots of walking planned this week as well as running mom around and gardening! Today back to losing the pounds … no more excuses.

    @deepwoodslady - Bone Scan ... my sister has it done regularly it seems since she had stage 4 cancer 13 years ago and is still on cancer meds today. I'm happy that she is still around since the diagnosis was not good when she first found out and told she would live 2-3 years. My mom is also a cancer survivor ... 34 years.
    But you are right it could be an age thing that the doc wants the bone scan ... I too turn 61 this year and my doc told me last physical that this year I would need to get a baseline bone scan.

    Day 3: Wed, 4/7: 133.7 - Completely on track. I am starting to wonder if the daily skating for 2 weeks developed me some heavier quads and glutes. 844 in the Green

    Day 17 - 04/21 …..207.0…..Good day yesterday. However, very very late dinner and very early weigh in probably explains. Travel today to the dentist. UGH.
    Day 18 – 04/22 …..207.2….. slightly up after yesterday’s travels. More travels today (Covid #2 shot) but I may try to just eat at home as I will be home in just a matter of a few (3-4) hours. Last night was an indulgent dessert that was way too dense and sweet. I should have left some of it on the plate but I didn’t. I’m glad the uptick is only 0.2 . Hopefully more will not creep up on the scale later because of it.
    Day 19 – 04/23 …..208.6….. I feel weak, dizzy and horrid today after the shot yesterday but I am still grateful that I could get it. A slight headache too, but no fever or chills. I woke up at 4:00 a.m and couldn’t get back to sleep. There is no way I can stay sitting up today. Even with the expected work crew, I’ve got to stay laying down. Tons of water yesterday. I ended up with subway because we passed one and my brother wanted it so bad (he doesn’t drive). Too much junk last night on the grab and go. Too bad my appetite wasn’t affected. Eating felt fine.
    Day 20 – 04/24 …..206.6….. My scale is all over the place. I think yesterday’s weigh-in may have been because I was super-hydrating after the vaccination and bloated with water (?). Two pounds is a lot to drop when I ate just fine in light of, otherwise, feeling bad Feeling better today. You are right about this thing @Lilylady3k : It is worth feeling like you have the flu for one day in order to be protected. A real flu would last much longer. Today the tree service is coming to chop down some scary trees and my work crew will be here to help with the clean-up and then (hopefully) do a little more work in the bathroom and laundry area. I am grateful for the drop on the scale.
    Day 21 – 04/25 …..206.0….. burned 4000 calories in yardwork yesterday. More scheduled for today. Gnats swarmed and now my right eye is swollen up and I’m itching all over. Will still try to make a good day of it.
    Day 22 – 04/26 …..204.0….. So thrilled! Doing the happy dance. Tree clean-up is complete except for a one small area that they still need to cut up. Bad weather for the next 3 days so that will come later this week. Snow/rain mix today. Thunderstorms tomorrow followed by rain on Wednesday predicted. I am so happy right now. I feel so liberated and smart!
    Day 23 – 04/27 …..205.4….. I am shocked but not shocked. I thought it was too good to be true! Yesterday was an extremely successful day in the food department. Both calories and carbs were very low. So low, in fact, that I experienced a small glucose drop. I caught it very quickly (while idly sitting, sitting, sitting waiting for my limestone pad to be poured, my stumps to be excavated out and my new shed to be brought in by the Amish). I handled the drop easily at the beginning of feeling sickly. No binge. I slept really really good last night with more sleep than normal. The only explanation is that my calorie burn and steps were way down due to having to stay away from the work being done outside. Lots of sitting. Only 5600 steps and only 2200 calories burned. I’ll try to get in more activity today although rain and thunderstorms are on the way any minute. I am still very happy to losing consistently. Even with the uptick overnight, my fat percentage went down. Thai food is being brought in by a friend tonight from out of town for me. Lots of healthy veggies, chicken breast and curry. However, the sodium will not be good. I will eat half today and half tomorrow. Going to push water all day. I liked the look of that number 4 in my readings yesterday. Going to get back there asap.
    Day 24 – 04/28 …..205.6….. No Thai food afterall which was probably a blessing. Weight is still trending down at trendweight.com . Fat % is really going down. It now says I will reach my goal by 2023. That is way way better than the 2050’s and the 2030’s so I am pleased.
    Day 25 – 04/29 …..207.2….. I have no idea what is going on. It was a meatless day yesterday. All veggies for dinner with a little sour cream and oatmeal for breakfast. Very low calorie. The only thing I can think of is that I did have some sunflower seed kernals for a snack last night. A small measured amount but they were salted. I will watch my diet carefully today and push water and see what happens tomorrow. I do know this…..my body really wants to stay in the 7’s and I’m just not having it!
    Day 26 – 04/30 …..206.2….. Horridly high glucose in the middle of the night. Almost called an ambulance (there is a tiny hospital one hour away) when my numbers hit 565. Should be about 80-90. Found some old medication I am no longer on to supplement my current diabetes medication and took it. Walked my backyard in the dark and downed some apple cider vinegar shots. Finally, after no sleep, I got it down to 200. The hunger (a symptom) was ravenous but food would have made a high glucose level worse so I had to suffer through that. Tweaking my diet, trying to change things up for the better is just affecting me in an unfair way. It’s an obstacle course but I will continue to try to navigate it and get to the other side with the changes I need. I see my doctor on the 11th. I will talk to her about my options although I HATE the idea of going back on extra meds because I can’t seem to substantially lose weight. I am nervous about how today will go. Watching things carefully. In the meantime, I am grateful for the drop on the scale and the small loss for April.

    Day 28 – 05/02 …..207.4….. This time it was a severe sugar drop while in my car the next town over. Feeding frenzy in the car with snacks bought at the gas station. I ate until it stopped. Not good because that usually means it goes too high afterward from the food but I swear, it is instinct to eat, eat, eat until you can feel the difference. My body is really fighting me on dietetic changes. Even exercise. I will win this battle! I know my journey is a bit different than most of yours, but I appreciate you all being here with me on mine as I navigate and overcome.
    Day 29 – 05/03 …..207.4….. This should have dropped a bit after a good day yesterday. My body is just fighting me and being stubborn (which is also part of my normal personality lol) but persistence should pay off.

    Day 31 – 05/05 …..208.8….. Crazy ridiculous but I checked it 3 times. Yesterday was little movement due to travel. No breakfast, no lunch and only half my restaurant dinner. But I did eat a mile high slice of cheesecake (that’s why I gave away half my dinner). The numbers don’t add up, hopefully better tomorrow.

    Weight dropped ✌️ Today I met my protein intake target, unlike other days. But I took a day off from exercising. I felt less energetic in the morning but by the end of the day, I feel better given the rest day. I plan to get a good workout in tomorrow, quite excited. :)

Meeting up this evening with “Sisters Who Sip” for Cinco de Mayo at Be More Pacific - Filipino Kitchen and Bar. Our first monthly gathering in over a year. Plan is to limit myself to one cocktail and find something sort of healthy on the food menu.

    Weight dropped ✌️ Today I met my protein intake target, unlike other days. But I took a day off from exercising. I felt less energetic in the morning but by the end of the day, I feel better given the rest day. I plan to get a good workout in tomorrow, quite excited. :)

    What kind of workouts do you do?
    I love to work out, I do dance/zumba type of stuff. It really energizes me, plus I can eat more calories : - )

    This is my 6th round on this thread: Round 1 loss 3.7, Round 2 loss 2.7, Round 3 loss 8.9, Round 4 loss 4.0
    19.3 total loss over 4 rounds, 400 days. Round 5 loss 4.6.
    23.9 pound loss over 500 days.
    I always reach for a 10 pound loss each 100 even though that hasn't happened.
    I keep track of calories left over at the end of each day, in the Green on the MFP tracker. My aim is 500+ average calories in the Green each day (deficit) - this would lead to a 5lb loss over 100 days.

    Day 1: Mon, 4/5: 133.1 - I actually dnw, I am using my EW from the last round. 1049 in the Green
    Day 2: Tues, 4/6: 134.3 - Ouch. 607 in the Green
    Day 3: Wed, 4/7: 133.7 - Completely on track. I am starting to wonder if the daily skating for 2 weeks developed me some heavier quads and glutes. 844 in the Green
    Day 4: Thurs, 4/8: 132.6 - Saw 131.XX many times in the last 100, trying to get there and beyond. 536 in the Green
    Day 5: Fri, 4/9: 133.2 - Extremely early weigh-in, 3am. My schedule is out of wack right now. 516 in the Green
    Day 6: Sat, 4/10: 132.1 - Do we have only 6 days in this first week? 439 in the Green


    Day 7: Sun, 4/11: 133.8 - Hoping that this is just some sort of weird fluctuation. 565 in the Green

    Day 10: Wed, 4/14: 133.3 - I had hoped to have a cushion so that I could have Ribs later this week. After juggling my bunch of jobs, getting home late and eating very late...I may have to delay my Ribs feast. Keeping my workouts up, but only little bits at a time this week. 900 in the Green
    Day 11: Thurs, 4/15:: 132.1 - Good, back to last week's EW. 822 in the Green
    Day 12: Fri, 4/16: 131.5 - Lowest so far on this journey, fluctuations may happen, but touching it for the first time feels great. 7 in the Green
    Day 13: Sat, 4/17: 133.3 - Delicious Ribs last night. Honey Garlic variety this time. Kind of worth the almost 2 pound gain, and expected. I will work it off over the next week. I will have Ribs again in the month of May : - ) Hours of yard work/gardening on the schedule for today on top of Fitness Marshall workouts throughout the day. 865 in the Green



    Day 14: Sun, 4/18: 133.1 - Hoping to work the Ribs off over the next few days. I used to have them each week instead of each month. I see why it was impossible for me to take weight off back then. Once per month is enough : - ) 698 in the Green

    Day 16: Tues, 4/20: 133.0 - Better, but 16 days in and only 0.1 under my start weight. Sticking with it. 899 in the Green
    Day 17: Wed, 4/21: 132.9 - I have been battling a sore shoulder for 2 weeks, still working out, but modifying. 1187 in the Green
    Day 18: Thurs, 4/22: 133.1. I am going to give myself a break after work tonight for the next 2 days and indulge slightly. I will just have to deal with the consequences. I have been going at breakneck pace this week on the work front. 283 in the Green
    Day 19: Fri, 4/23: 132.4 - Surprising, because I had appies for dinner: spinach artichoke bites, boneless dry garlic pork, and the like. Calories in and out were on point though. Veered away from my usual chicken breast with 4 veggies and a bit of rice. 893 in the Green
    Day 20: Sat, 4/24: 133.5 - I repeated the eating behaviour, so expected this. I needed a break and my weight wasn't changing anyway. Meal prepping today, my day off. 646 in the Green



    Day 21: Sun, 4/25: 134.3 - Not very happy with this number. 528 in the Green
    Day 22: Mon, 4/26:133.5 - I worked a split shift yesterday, so ate later than I like to do. 842 in the Green
    Day 23: Tues, 4/27: 132.7 - Hopefully adapting to my newest work schedule and can begin to drop some more weight again. 986 in the Green
    Day 24: Wed, 4/28: 131.9 - That was really nice to see this morning. 867 in the green
    Day 25: Thurs, 4/29: 132.2 - Planning on having something a bit more indulgent tonight after work. 570 in the Green

    Day 30: Tues, 5/4: 132.4 - Planning to stay "good" until at least Thursday. I know that it takes awhile for that "good" lifestyle to show up on the scale. 123 in the Green
    Day 31: Wed, 5/5: 132.8 - Poor food choices yesterday. Stayed within calories, but barely. 861 in the Green
    Day 32: Thurs, 5/6: 132.0 - That is better. 496 in the Green
