We had dinner with another couple at their home tonight, first time since Covid. I offered to marinate chicken for fajitas and make homemade salsa and guacamole. My friend made the veggies and Mexican beans. It worked out well because I was well within my calories.8 -
Yes x 3 today. The maintenance calorie budget makes it pretty easy for me to stay on track (as long as I exercise.) Tomorrow is weigh-in day and I'm interested to see where I am, given the way my weight has fluctuated this month.8

Trying to get back into a routine. I'm a brunch/dinner/late night snack kind of person but today I started on my path of doing three smaller meals plus dinner to spread out my protein intake. I did well with it today. I've decided to stop actively trying to lose weight for now since I've been plateaued the last couple of months. On the first of June I'm starting a recomp. I've never done anything like that before so it'll be a bit of a challenge.
Since I hadn't done any weights for two weeks due to my little incident with the wrist/hand I went light today. I had no pain but some slight discomfort/tightness. On Monday I'll do a little more.9 -

It would be nice to reach minus 20 kg this month. But it is not so important, I have time☺️4 -

Yesterday (Friday) was a pass day as always. Not that it matters- I’m well over for the month.
3 YES day today. Weight training, a walk, and 2 hours of yard work.9 -
Another pass day due to lack of exercise. Will be working on that component. Two days in a row and has almost never happened since starting here Oct 1, 2020. Passes = 7 BUT 16 non-pass!!!6

Have to make a change, last night after posting I ate 3 unplanned cookies. Though I was still under the very high 2500 cal/day limit my dietician suggested I know it was too much. I need to convert yesterday to a pass day, my first this month. I know it was not a whole lot of calories, but it was also not something I can afford to do. Those were my first real cookies in 2 years, if I can hold it to an average of 1 1/2 cookies a year that's fine. I just want to stop doing it for now...6 -
This was one of my favorite kind of days - outside all day. Puttered in a flower bed, in the vegetable garden, with my bike, in the garage, cleaned the porch, long phone call with a brother, with plenty of sitting in the shade in between, plus a strength workout. You know that feeling - at the end of the day you’re tired but so satisfied. The only thing that would have made it better is if the Cubbies had won. Oh well, can’t have everything.
Yes to all 3. Pass days: 2/3

@WhatMeRunning That's one of the things I like about this challenge, I'm inspired to move just to say Yes on here.
As for me today: I took my 94 y/o Mother out for a drive today after months of her not being allowed out of her retirement home. She had signed herself out for supper thinking she would treat me to a dinner out at a restaurant, not realizing that restaurants can only do take out service. So an impromptu picnic in the car overlooking the river it was! I ate over my calorie limit and arrived home later than planned so didn't exercise. But I did log all I ate. No regrets, it was an enjoyable day; I'm thankful I still have her in my life at this age!7 -
@snowshoe072 Please DO post a photo!
@Jana_2020 That is a beautiful blessing!
Ended a pretty chill week exercise-wise with another sub-60 min 10 km attempt.
The attempt was a fail. So going easy on exercise for 3-4 days isn't part of the winning formula?! Mmmk 🤨
God-willing, there's always next time to fix the formula. 🤷🏾♀️ At least now I decided on an app (UA's Map My Run) to help with pacing.

Plantar fasciitis could be very painful. Since you are doing a lot of walking, have you thought of changing or checking your walking shoes? Very good walking shoes really help and also stressing after walking.2 -

@MadisonMolly2017 - I had crippling plantar fasciitis a couple years ago. An Ironman friend recommended an insert called a Walk Fit. When I googled it, it looked like some goofy infomercial. But I Bought it based on my friends recommendation and it completely transformed me. I went from hardly being able to put any weight on that foot, to walking pain free. Worth every penny. I still keep them in my running shoes.2

@biketheworld Thanks for the post about plantar fasciitis. I’ve got very flat feet so I use orthotics in my shoes. I’ll look into the recommendation that you shared with Maddie0
