June 18:
I find that when I get “stuck”, it’s important for me to realize that I can get back on track. You’re only out if you don’t get up when you’re knocked down. But it is a mind game... I’m the only one who can get myself back on track, and I’ve got to keep my WHY front and center.
Exercise: Yes! 30 min Zumba

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, 30 minutes on the stair stepper and a 20 minute walk.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Nope. Even with the exercise, cocktails pushed me over. I was able to track them because I made them at home, but whew! Tracking is indeed eye opening.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes.
Pass days used: 5/3, including today
I think that in the past, I would have gone on a binge at this point -- I have slipped up, so why not go all in? I am not doing that now. I am motivated to keep moving forward, and to see the bigger picture: 1) stopping cycles/patterns; 2) establishing a healthy lifestyle/routine; 3) not setting situational goals, i.e., I have to look good for this event, or when this person sees me, or to get into that dress.

That’s it! That’s the magic of UAC! . That’s success! Congratulations!!6 -

@achagpar
Yes! I do think others can help, but ultimately it is us facing ourselves & choosing long term success over temporary short term enjoyment. The trick is changing what you think is enjoyable!!!
Congratulations!
And identifying and keeping my Big Why front & center has made ALL the difference.

Exercise❌ 95 degree heat & exercise is not working for me. Should be better tomorrow
Food under✅
All tracked✅
Heel, lower body massager, 1 set of 10 reps arms
✅12 day streak
✅Art: added to a collage from last weekend & finalized the designs of the last 5 sections of 16 of a scroll!
Not in Winner’s Circle, but still a Champion5 -
Walked to the shops and coffee with friends but got lazy and didn’t log. Supper and game evening with friends and went over on calories on the amazing food.
On Saturday morning I got a warning from the increased number on the scale which is higher than I like to see by a couple of kgs so hoping it will motivate me to focus nutrition again. I want to keep training at my high levels but to do that I need to fuel my body properly. Treats are allowed but they need to be more occasional than they have been lately.7 -

Being over 60 & retired I see myself at the point where I'm in the final 1/3 of my life if I'm lucky. I've worked hard to put myself in the position of being financially secure in retirement so now I want to enjoy myself to the fullest and not be a fat out of shape old woman. This is what keeps me mostly on track.7 -

Well, after reading everyone’s, congratulating a couple, and posting my own approach, I went for a 48 min walk in the dark! Ended the day with almost 8K steps instead of 1.5K!
So I’m changing that ❌ to an ✅, and holding at 4 Pass Days!7 -
@RangerRickL i had to think really hard with regards to todays question. I must say how u deal with not getting stuck really rang true to me. My whole life i hve felt guilty for everything and anything. All my decisions in every day life were driven by guilt. Letting go of guilt is something i am in the process of doing and i feel like i am becoming a better person since learning to let go!! This has also helped with my health goals as im learning to enjoy all foods in moderation instead of feeling guilty for eating fun foods!4

I am back, the vaction was fun, lots of good fishing, but I got way off track. Ate way too much and did no exercise other than fishing and a little walking. No winner's circle for me this month, but I will be happy to get back on track, and yesterday I was, a 3 yes day! Some of my fish:
I brought home about 70 lbs of frozen cleaned filets and things. Should be eating fish for a while.RangerRickL wrote: »What are some of the things that have helped you to get back on track toward your goals?
I force myself to look forward.

So i walked, and I tracked everything except this cake I made. But I deliberately ate less so I could have that so I think I stayed in my range.
A not-bad day.5 -
Today’s question - @donna25trinity - I agree. For me it was letting go of the guilt and allowing myself not to just start to take care of me, but to cherish and appreciate doing so.
@alligatorob - that’s some serious fishing! You look like you had so much fun. 🐟

This question of the day has been tough. I am really enjoying the responses and can identify with many of them.
For me, I guess for many types of ruts I just look back where I've been, verify my goals, and try to figure out what is going wrong.
Sometimes life does throw some surprises where things don't necessarily seem to go off track so much as change from being something on a "track" to something under the sea, or in outer space, or somewhere else where all of the plans, tracks, etc. seem irrelevant to dealing with that situation. That's when I later find myself struggling to get back on track (and working to build a track to get on). Even then it has to happen, eventually.
I am hoping to deal with that more easily in the future.5 -
@readyornot1234 yes yes and yes i could not agree more and loved how u pointed out the cherish and appreciate doing so. I hve been forcing myself to hve sum me time once a week even if its just for an hour or 2. I do this no matter how guilty i initially feel and let me tell u how much i love cherish and appreciate. I come back home motivated happy resilient and so grateful for all my blessings. Xox4
