    Day/Weight/Comment
06/30 …..196.4….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
07/01 …..197.6 ….. This is likely my true weight at this point. I ended with an especially low weight last round due to tummy illness. I am ready to take on this new challenge. I will make more changes to see more changes! Good luck everyone!

07/02 …..198.6 ….. Yikes. Yesterday was my son’s birthday, can you tell? Today will be on target. Tomorrow is a very long travel day with multiple meals out and very little movement. It won’t help the cause so I’m going to make today count and work hard on Sunday too. I’m NOT giving up Onederland!

07/03 …..197.8 ….. I made yesterday count after so many routine disruptions and it payed off. Travel today with multiple meals out and lots of sitting. A longer trip than usual that cannot be avoided. Next week will be a week of compensation for this week’s transgressions. All part of the lifestyle changes I have made. I must always pay the fiddler!

07/04 …..199.2….. After a long travel trip yesterday so this was expected but not appreciated. Today is America’s Independence Day holiday but I will have to tread carefully today to no lose anymore progress. I have pre-planned my meals and snacks and will be chugging the water. I will work on more steps too as yesterday was so much car riding and sitting. Have a safe and wonderful day today, my friends.

07/05 …..198.0 ….. I managed to keep the calories within check, even with it being a holiday. Epic fail on the carbs though. Today I will be more mindful of both to continue the progress. This will be an extremely stressful week that is so bad I can barely sleep. Too hard to even talk about. I just have to get through until Friday and then all will be okay. I hope there will be no emotional eating. The scale is coming back down but I am still over starting weight. Hanging onto Onederland has been successful so far. It was to hard to get here to let go of the rope!

07/06 …..197.4 ….. Yesterday was pretty good but I hardly got in steps due to a house full of company most of the day. Today I will be traveling again and a late lunch will be Chinese/Thai as my travel companion is looking forward to it. I’ll control the quantity by eating only half now, half later, but I do expect a jump on the scale. I have started to hope for and dream of being in the 180’s. I’m not sure how long it will take but I have been inspired by so many of you lately and I know I can do it too. It is still an emotionally rough week for me, but I can do this. I’m going to try to enjoy my day a bit today but not let the food/restaurant be the main attraction!

07/07 …..198.0 ….. An uptick on the scale after the travel and Thai food. I have leftovers for today so I may see another uptick tomorrow. I am going to tweak my overall day to accommodate. It is going to rain all day so I am restricted inside with a worker coming anyway. I plan on going up and down my stairs many times today to get in some difficult steps to help offset my overall day. I am over starting weight so I hope to get back there and at least a 0.1 loss to make my goal of Any Weight Loss per round. I’m not giving up and I’m not giving back my progress overall.

07/08 …..198.4 ….. Leftover Thai food showing up on the scale. Temporary water retention is probably what I am seeing. I will walk more, drink more water and pee more often I hope.

07/09 …..196.6 ….. Just shy of starting weight by 0.2. Bloat gone from all the travel this round and the Thai food. My goal each round is to just lose ANYTHING (thank you @quiltingjaine). If I play it cool today, I may just be able to get that done by tomorrow’s final weigh in!

07/10 …..197.6 ….. I honestly didn’t think that the ice cream would do a pounds worth of damage. Dammit!

7/2 114.5 Our daughter came up early, cut my hair, and went to water fitness with me. She said it was a humbling experience because we were “kicking her *kitten*!” I told her to come back on Monday because that instructor is much tougher.
7/3 114.5 Night of Fire at LVMS tonight. I love stock car races!
7/4 115.5 Happy Independence Day USA 🇺🇸 We had a wonderful time at the races🏁. I ate a hot dog 🌭 and bun so my carbs were almost double my daily limit but it’s okay. Ate all the salt that came off my friends soft pretzel plus pink salt at home and didn’t have nearly enough water. $4/20 oz bottle=racetrack robbery! Wonderful fireworks 💥 🎇 🎆
    7/5 114.5
7/6 115.5 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ maybe because of the vodka or not enough water? Under all macros for the day - we’ll see what tomorrow brings. The dessert I made was awesome, if I do say so myself!
7/7 115.0 Drank more water, increased my magnesium and woke up several times during the night with foot cramps. I need to remember SALT.
7/8 115.5 Water fitness yesterday and DD#2 came. It was fun. I was tired last night and slept well - over 8 hours! Trumpets blare!!! That’s a switch!
7/9 115.5 Almost 8 hrs sleep - WOW. Water fitness this morning and lun-ner with the ladies this afternoon. Must run - well, not really but I do need to get ready!
7/10 115.5 This will go up tomorrow, I’m sure! Golden Corral yesterday! LOL

@quiltingjaine, Golden Corral in Las Vega was DELICIOUS! The one we live close to now, isn’t all that good. We have one about a hour from us but spend a hour in traffic isn’t worth it, lol.

I'm back! I was gone all year. Last year, I lost 40 lbs, but gained 10+ back. I don't want to gain anymore. I seem to be able to bounce back and forth between this weight and 150. Sharing my numbers with this forum seems to help make actual progress, so here I am!
    🏃 07/07: 152.8
I know in the beginning, the loss is mostly water weight and likely bloat in general, but I still like it!
    🏃 07/08: 150.2
I have been cutting out the extra snacks. I know some of this is still water weight, but I'll take it!
    🏃 07/09: 150.8
This is great! I wouldn't say I ate too much spaghetti or anything, so let's just say this is only because I've finally gotten through most of the water weight.
    🏃 07/10: 150.4
This will be a good way to start the next round. In the next round, I will need to start exercising for sure.

Hi, I am in again. I seem to be still maintaining, altho I would like to be losing, lol.
Something I read that I need to remember...I am working toward health, not weight necessarily.

    71 yr old 5'3" Original SW= 175 on 8-19-12.
Lost 25# and basically maintaining since. Would like to lose at least 15# more.

    SW 148.2 (Round 149) Goal 130#

    7-1= 148.2
    7-2= 148.8
    7-3= 150
    7-4= 150.6
7-5= 150.2 Not doing well. Pretty much keeping steps up, but not so well on food.
    7-6= 151.4
    7-7= 150.2
    7-8= 150.4
    7-9=150.4
    7-10=150.4

This one will be challenging. DD & gkids will be here. I don't use my food scale when they are here.

    😷Take care! Stay safe!😷

    July focus:
    • maintain weight < 150 (I have been maintaining since November 2019)
    • Work on improving stamina, strength, flexibility, which may impact the scale
    • Gradually working my way down to being consistently under 140lbs

I liked this so much I'm borrowing it.
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

    140's; 130's
    Aims:
    2021 Focus:
    • Maintain weight < 150
    • Strengthen strategies to reframe the tendency to use unhealthy snack food as a reward/treat.
    • Make sure I have prepared healthy snacks available
    • Cut down on eating between meals by keeping busy
    [/color]
Never give up! Never give in!
    Recent Back Story:
    • 2018 goal: get back down to 160 ✅
    • 2019 goal: proceed down to 150 ✅ with 2 months to spare
    • 2020 goal: maintain below 150 dropping slowly down to 145 ✅ Strength training has slowed progress, but that’s okay.
    • That's a WIN in my book!
    • 2021
    • Focus: maintenance! I might even manage to lose a bit more ever so slowly.
    • (One good thing about Covid is that I don't have to traverse the minefield of family celebration meals.)

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS: One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.
    • Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
    • A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
    • Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
    • The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
    • Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
    • The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
    • When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
    • Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.
Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!
