Here's a snapshot of my steps and exercise last week.

Too long since my post and I can't edit.
@Terytha we saw Free Guy on Friday night and I loved it. Hoping to get to see it again soon.
@gak71 we also have an air fryer (a Ninja one, but not the foodie because we're short on kitchen space) and honestly we use it for chips and one chicken dish. As others have said, it can be a bit irritating if you want to do multiple things in it at once; the chicken dish for example, we cook the chicken (which is effectively chicken & cornflour) then set that aside, put the chips in, then when the chips are almost done, reduce the sauce, add the cooked chicken and warm through on the hob. The chicken does stay crispy, but feels like a faff. I'm planning to find an air fryer recipe book to try more; there are a few included with Kindle Unlimited in the UK, so if I find a good one I'll share
I am having a *very* hungry day, and I'm freezing. It's still mild outside but overcast and the house is cooler. You can tell, because Kirk keeps coming to sit on my chest which he does when it's cold. Add in training this morning and insufficient sleep for several days and I am at risk of becoming a bit run down. If I can get to bed at a reasonable time tonight I think I'll be fine from tomorrow, so I'll try and guide things in the right direction today but I'm not too hung up on it if I do have too many calories. Better to have one day and recover, than to end up feeling unwell and binging sugar for a week to function as I would in the past.
We started with a meal out Friday evening and haven't had a home prepared meal since; it was just one of those weekends with a couple of really late nights and very early starts. I didn't sleep well on Friday either due to uncomfortable hip flexors after a run, then we were out from 7.30am-00.30 seeing family. As it's a minimum 1hr30 drive each way, it can be difficult to see people midweek and we end up cramming lots into a day; with having the cats, it's not easy to stay over on a whim.
My PT session this morning was interesting. C had properly analysed the gait analysis footage from last week and had identified a third area to work on; tightness in the sartorius (I think) which is one of the muscles on the inner thigh, starting at the knee and going up the inside of the leg. This is shown on video by my foot flicking out (from the knee) which is eventually likely to result in an injury. We discussed heart rate and warmups, and he showed me a warm up to do before every run. He then massaged the sartorius and I told him we weren't going to be friends - it took a lot of determination to lie there - then we revisited some of the warmup and went for a run to take new footage. We came back and went through a cool down routine (to do after every run) then reviewed the footage and there was an improvement. I know warm up and cool down is important but it's so easy to skip them, and now I have a strong reason to make sure they get done. If C can loosen off the sartorius and I can train then stretch it, the muscle should elongate and improve very quickly. We also identified that I need more lumbar flexibility (I can barely reach mid calf if sat with my legs straight in front!) but that's for another time.5 -

@happimess01 That is my go to yogurt! I feel it is less sour than a lot of other plain yogurts. I started with the 5% fage plain yogurt which is even less sour. Then worked my way down to that one.
@Steph1498 I have been doing on-demand ballet classes through a website called Everyday Ballet. The lady who runs it is 51 and has lots of great classes for classical ballet. She has some free stuff on YouTube that you can try to get started. I pay the monthly on demand membership. I have a lot of tightness in my hips and some strength imbalances too. Ballet really helps with those issues.4 -

What a treat to read that you had your perfect day and are back to hitting those mini goals. Does it get to be a pain in the neck? Yep. Is it worth it? Absolutely!
I was saved by watermelon today. I was seriously tempted by all kinds of evil things while grocery shopping (later than usual in the day, but I got a good workout in before I left at least!). I managed to avoid them, and came home to scarf down some watermelon. It calmed all the silliness and now I can get on with my day!

Together, we walked 478,499 steps this week or 227 miles. This is about the equivalent of the six of us signing up for and completing 73 5K races!!!4 -

@jugar the exam in question is Level 1 of the CFA (Charted Financial Analyst). It's not a license per se, I don't actually need it to continue working in my field, but it shows a base level of competency. This is only level 1 of 3 though and I got deferred twice because of Covid. So who knows where I'll get the motivation to continue the program after the best part of 2 years studying!
@DD265 I am with you on the "need to get to sleep earlier and have a good night of it" train. Aiming for 11pm for me tonight, strictly!
I had an unfortunate water leak situation in my bedroom while I was away in NY for July and my landlord has been very on top of getting several roofers to come over an assess. I'm not too concerned about it now but the fun part is that when she stopped by today, she brought me a basket of zucchini and squash from her garden!! I'm so motivated to try some new recipes, but definitely starting with my old favorite zucchini fritters as an appetizer Tuesday night. @kali225 yes I add in a mix of strawberries and blueberries. Sometimes, also boiled potatoes. Good luck with the exam! Hope your hard work pays off

Day 2 of getting back on track. Also a good day—yay!!
I have to say yesterday I think my calories were way too low. I ended the day at about 1200. I was starving when I went to bed and woke with a killer headache. I know it’s more because it was an adjustment from where I was calorie wise and cutting drastically.
So today I ate more calories. Still under total but not under 1500. More like 1700. I started the day with 15 minutes of Pilates and managed to get my steps over 8k. Hit my water goal too. Ate celery sticks while preparing dinner so I wouldn’t snack on not so low cal stuff. ( @Kali225 Yes to cotija and all kinds of cheese! 🧀)
Had a funeral to attend in the middle of the day for a friend’s mom. She was 90. She had so many amazing sayings. She also loved to garden and I have a lilac in my yard that she gave me. The funeral was a lovely tribute.
On to day 3 of being on track!! 🎉✅

Today turned out to be pretty busy. Hubby and I got up pretty early and headed out for his physical therapy appointment. I ran to the grocery store during his appointment and picked up stuff for my mother in laws birthday party.
Then my MIL decided it would be fun to go to the mall. My daughter Rhesa went too. We haven't been to the Mall in years. It was fun and we got a decent walk indoors since we still have smoke.
Food wasn't terrible but not great with all the celebration. Lunch was panera 😋 For dinner I made slider burgers which helped with portion control. Then we had those darn chocolate waffles with icecream on top! Tomorrow I WILL BE UNDER CALORIES!3 -
@Kali225 @micki48 never heard of cotija but just looked it up and I'm confident I'd be a big fan! and perhaps I've had it in a dish and didn't even know....
@bowens1973 left for a business trip today so it's quieter than usual around the house. On that note @jugar ... assuming there isn't a scale in his hotel room (lol) then he will be late weighing in by a day as he's not home until Thursday night. Just so you know
The blood donation went well, all the extra water and a better meal closer to the donation seemed to make the difference!
The rain has finally arrived here... hopefully it helps with the fires.5 -

Had to get these in early as I didn't think I'd feel like doing much after the blood donation... meeting target today felt like a big accomplishment!3 -
Update on my post from yesterday. Putting in a general overview of my meals helps me stay on track. Yesterday I ate different foods and less than what I intended. Logging early helped me to have a “plan” and not just eat whatever was available. So I’m going to try this all week.

I went to bed straight after work yesterday for 2 hours, then it was almost midnight before we went to bed (combination of Spock wanting snuggles and cross stitch, for me!). I definitely overate yesterday but I am a lot brighter today, helped by getting up at 6.30am to go running though I could've happily stayed in bed when the alarm went off.
I felt like the HR training went easier today. I'm definitely a bit sore (and bruised!) from the sartorius massage yesterday but I thought some of the running periods - before my HR got too high and I had to walk - were longer than on other runs. I also focused on knees up and toes up (so I land with a slightly flatter foot), and made sure to do the warm up and cool down we'd agreed on.
My Tuesday is off to a good start food-wise as well; I had a banana as soon as I got back from running, then my breakfast was a Graze (snack box) lemon and blueberry flapjack which was lovely. For tea we're having curry from the freezer, so I will pre-log that, and then lunch will either be a cold chicken pasta or a chicken and bacon sandwich. Yummy.2 -

Woo! I've almost made up for 2 worse weeks in a row this time. That feels pretty good.
Yesterday was one of the better days I've had in a while. Meals were planned and tasty. I finally got in the next Epic workout (Day 23), it was abs and glutes and WOW do I feel my stomach muscles today! I love that sore feeling because it makes you super aware of your obliques and whatnot. I did not snack after dinner. I had over 10k steps. I did not do great on getting to bed at 11pm though. I was too absorbed in review questions and didn't turn my light out until 1:06am... sheesh.
Today is off to a good start, however. I got up and did a 22 minute walk - first morning walk in 2 weeks, yay! I am making progress one my one major work task this week so I can devote my afternoon to studying. I am going to aim for Epic Day 24 around 11/11:30 in the morning, before I have lunch or take a walk. Tuesdays are my most reasonable chance for takeout (since I have 6 days thereafter before the next weigh in) so I will probably order Indian tonight and absolutely enjoy it.

No problem for @bowens1973 late weigh-in. Even if there is a scale, it might not be calibrated the same way, so best to wait until he's home again.
This must be WA co-captains giving blood week! I'm going in on Friday. It is the best excuse for eating a cookie ever2
