    well, this is the maintaining weight forum - so presumably people are already doing whatever they are doing to successfully maintain weight - or transitioning from whatever they successfully did to lose weight.

    Meaning they are not likely to want to change whatever was working.

    Why do you want to stay away from food at night?
    I guess for some individuals that might be a good strategy - if you are prone to mindless after dinner TV snacking or suchlike.

    I eat my main meal well into the evening - about 8:00pm would be my average - and usually a snack after that, say ,about 10 pm

    NO problems with that for me - so ,no, not struggling or even trying at all, to stay away from night food.

    If I find myself being bored-snacky, I brush my teeth and rinse with a strong mouthwash. Anything I try to eat or drink afterwards (other than water) tastes yukky
