Not a lot of detail, the highlights are that it will be half as thick as the current stuff, and more environmentally sustainable. Available in fall 2022, a year from now. If I was casually wanting a hard shell I might hold out for a less bulky one.

    Interesting but I've already got all of the real (and similar) Gortex products that I need but, if the new lightweight product, helps 2 reduce the regular or closeout price of the older thicker product, I might be interested in buying more of the latter

    According to this article, the new Gore-Tex is also free of PFOS/PFAS. If true (when did the Chemical Industry ever lie to us). it might be worth replacing the old gear for the new.
