I’m losing focus quickly now that I’m traveling. Going to count the exercise as a NSV today.9 -

Exercise walk 1, run 3
I spent 4 hours tonight cleaning the garage, moving lumber to the shed, creating a pile of old furniture for bulk pick up, etc. Afterwards I wanted a cookie and I decided logging 60 minutes of light cleaning in lieu of 4 hours of heavy cleaning so I could eat said cookie was ok. 🍪9 -
@snowshoe072 Inspiring NSV, congrats! Could you share which exercises were easy on your knees please? Can they be found on YouTube? Once our pool closes, I want to get into the habit of strength training/toning exercises - something completely foreign to me.4

@bradkcrew - HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 🎉🎂🎁🎊🎈
NSV - I was taking care of my neighbor’s dog last week. When I went in one late afternoon to feed the dog, I accidentally left the key on their counter and locked myself out but didn’t realize until I was going back later that night to give the dog a stroll and to close the dog door. It is a medium size dog with a not so big dog door and inside there is only a foot of space between the wall and the washing machine. Somehow I managed to wiggle through the dog door sideways and then get to a standing position in that little space. The combination of being small enough to fit through the dog door and fit enough to get to a standing position (thank you squats) at almost 60 amazed me - although I couldn’t fend off the dog’s kisses so … something to work on. I hope they don’t have cameras in their house. Or maybe I do, because I would love to see what I looked like.

Oh my gosh @readyornot1234 !!!
I LOVE Everything about your NSV. I’ve read it 3 times!!! Thank you for brightening my evening❤️❤️🌈6 -
NSV - I am feeling very on top of my health & I actually love working out - cardio! Love to dance in Zumba and Dance Fitness. I am still pretty curvy but at the tender age of 60 I feel sexy and beautiful. Love getting dressed everyday and showcasing my more toned bod.
Yes to the 3 today (fun, sweaty night in Dance Fitness, 60 minutes) - Yes!9 -
NSV day came at the perfect time this month!
Yesterday I turned 60. The date that I had been dreading for months arrived, and instead of feeling depressed and ashamed of myself, I felt proud and content with what I have been able to achieve. On April 5th I embarked on a journey of sweeping changes and I have far surpassed every expectation that I had for myself.
So my NSV? Turning 60 didn't suck.
Happy Birthday! This year I turned 60 as well - definitely does not suck, in fact I love it! Never felt or looked better!6 -
NSV - I feel so much better and have more energy, sleeping better, I’m calmer, have clearer thinking, I’m having an easier time focusing on tasks. I can get through workout classes without thinking, ‘this is too much’.

Thanks @SummerSkier!
NSV’s:
Sleep since I began my new method July 21 has consistently been awesome!
I have weathered the onset of tinnitus with perspective, my exercise, & my self-calming method that I’ve practiced in recent months.
I’ve done hours of work on a lifetime of photos & videos & memorabilia daily for the past 95 days. Much more still to go, but I have found tons of priceless treasures!!
Good luck to you all on the 2nd half of the month!
🌸Maddie
Oh & holidays - I maintain during vacations or holiday celebrations or family visits & gain afterwards - missing the fun times & family members. Now, I know to schedule lots of fun things - get togethers with friends or an online class - AFTER the trip or celebration7 -

NSV: Just generally feeling more firm and strong since I started EPIC. I'm into week 6 of EPIC I but also did a week of the Beginner EPIC. I've been working towards a goal of doing pull ups and haven't yet been successful but after yesterdays tricep workout I was able to get my arms fully up into an L shape. Getting closer. Even three months ago I couldn't even do much but hang from the bar.
We have one of these:

We travelled home on Friday so not so much walking as the previous few days but I did walk around at lunch time and had to walk back from the coach drop off point so well over an hour total walking.
Tracked yes, Calories yes.
So far, I have only admitted one pass day (Oct 1st) but the last few days have involved a lot of estimating. I did allow myself a generous “holiday” calorie allowance, waiting now to see the result on the scales.

Exercise - Probably 40 minutes of stretching, half hour walk
I think I'm going to have to call it my second pass day. It was takeout Friday at my house, but I'd decided to keep it a low calorie day for me. I got some sashimi to add to veggies we had at home. I planned it all out and followed the plan - but also ate a lot of bites of other people's foods, which I did not track, and which definitely added up to over calories. I still think I did way better than I would have if I had planned for a high calorie day, but I did not follow my plan, so Pass Day.
NSV - I did a great maneuver yesterday where I tripped over something on the floor and did this kind of crazy pirouette to not fall down. My 5 year old was very impressed. And I said to myself - that's my NSV. About a year before beginning my fitness and weight loss efforts I had a very similar situation that ended in a fall and a concussion. Now I am lighter and have the core strength and balance and did not fall.
Also, suddenly all my clothes are too small. I am having sort of a little identity crisis trying to figure out what to buy, as I think I am going to be mostly working from home forever now.5 -
@Jana_2020
I would be happy to share they are the beginner epic work outs both focus on legs/knees one use a kettlebell I have only a 5lb one. Both a mat and imagination if there are some too difficult. I found them on you tube one of them is more of a struggle but I try. I also have a set of resistance bands 10-50 lbs that came with a door hook and ankle bands so I work knees and legs that way. Good luck 🎃0 -
@readyornot1234, that story made me laugh out loud! Brightened my day. Thankyou1
