This is the first time I have had a chance to log on and read all the supportive comments, I am so happy that you all are so encouraging, it has truly lifted my spirits. Over the weekend I ended up getting 650 bricks for free, and about two yards of crushed rock for free, consequently I had to move all that by myself. That being said my weigh in today reflects the amount of work I put in, I was told by my wife to sit and chill before work, and let me tell you it’s killing me lol. Drumroll please………

I know it’s not much, but I have to say I am so proud of my accomplishments, starting today, I’m going to log all my food, and start to work out (starting tomorrow ) lol thanx again everyone9 -

Been a rough weekend. I have had trouble getting my 1000 calories in everyday. I never thought I would have that problem but my body has been craving low calorie foods. My steps were terrible this weekend. It was cold all weekend and I was trying to help my boyfriend fix one of our vehicles. I basically just stood and watched but he likes me to be out there with him.
5 things to know about me:
1. I am a massive sports fan. Especially Nascar and football (another reason for low step counts this weekend).
2. I have been a nurse for 27 years. I have been out of work since my cardiac arrest in June but hoping to go back tomorrow night.
3. I met my boyfriend of 18 years online while he was in the Marine Corp and in a war zone in Iraq. We talked on the computer and telephone for 6 months before even seeing each other. The first time I laid eyes on him I felt like I knew everything about him and knew he was the one.
4. My puppy (his name is Dyson because he eats everything off the floor just like a Dyson vacuum cleaner) is like my baby. I take him everywhere with me and love him to death.
5. My favorite past time is going to casinos. I love to gamble....slots, blackjack., love it all. Planning a trip in a few weeks. A few visits ago I hit for $5286 on a slot machine.
Hope everyone has a good week. Heading to the gym.

I love all the crazy info about everyone - we have movie stars, gamblers, childhood sweethearts -- you name it! I knew we were cool, but this is great
@holymanhibbard
Well done! Shifting all that heavy stuff - that is a heck of a workout right there. Down a pound, and more to come. I'm with your wife - take a few minutes in the morning to check in, let us know how you're doing, and getting everyone's voices installed in your head. That's one of the things I love about having a team like this - when I feel like finishing off the ice cream or just lolling on the couch, at least one person on the team whispers in my ear and makes me straighten up. Very helpful!
@kdblpn
I'm wishing you the very very best getting back to work!
I get to drive one of my son's cool cars this morning, so I have to go check my wardrobe. Can't be all sweatpants and baggy stuff while behind THAT wheel!6 -
Here is my starting weight, mid weight and current weight pic9 -
Wow there are some really fun facts rolling around! A movie @micki48 - that's so cool!!! And way to go on your steps.. you are still keeping up that pace you set a few weeks ago.
We also have lots of couples who met young - so cute.
Anyway, just back to report yesterday's exercise:
19027 steps + 20 minutes Peloton
Busy day of work ahead and then donating blood after work. Enjoy your Monday all!3 -
Wow @conleywoods that's a great progress pic!! Also love the different hairstyles in each pic too1

Hi all,
Got back home last night after nearly a week away partially spent on business and partially spent visiting family. Had my first COVID rapid test a few days ago - total breeze, but was surprised that at no point was I asked to show proof of vaccination to get on planes. Nutty.
Here's 5 facts about me you wouldn't know.
1) At the age of 16 I owned and operated two cable TV stations - think Wayne's World. That made me the youngest program manager in Canada - betting I still hold that record.
2) At the age of 15 I became an uncle and at 48 a great uncle - met my new great niece on this trip.
3) I have been a safety professional for more than 20 years in a variety of industries (currently oil and gas).
4) I am horrible at most sports (once caught a pop fly with my eye and still have a bone out of place from it) but LOVE personal endurance based sports like swimming and cycling. I'm not the fastest, but can pretty much go forever.
5) I met my best friend/wife online through our mutual love of music - we played music trivia against each other several times, which eventually lead to hundreds of hours of conversation - we were living 3,500kms apart. We met in person a couple of months later when I flew out to see her and had one of those "I just knew immediately" moments. Best decision of my life.6 -
@sljjjembeca I work out at home and have a pretty good selection of stuff that fits under my bed or in a closet. @DD265 makes a great point. If you are totally new to lifting some professional input would be ideal. I have lifted off and on since I was 16 and I also am an occupational therapist so I have a strong bio mechanical/exercise science background. Since I'm comfortable at home I recently started using programs from Mind Pump Media. They have lots of programs that are phased so you don't plateau. They are not free so get on their email list. They run sales all the time. They have videos for each move and they have programs for home gym (dumbbells) and gym (barbell). If you do the home version you need a decent range of weights. I used the dumbbells that you add plates to and just recently got a set of bowflex selectech. They have you do 2 or 3 full body workouts week. On off days you do 10 minute mini workouts.3

Hi everyone! 👋🏼 I was looking through a journal I keep on this journey and came across this quote from 2 years ago. Still resounds.
“In some ways, achieving goals is just a by-product of the journey. You also walk away with healthy new habits, not to mention the gratifying knowledge that you have what it takes.”
Not sure who it is attributed to.5 -
So great to read everyone's posts!
My 5 things:
1. I speak 6 languages
2. In college, when I did my teachers' training I passed every subject except music and physical education. 2 things I've never been good at.
3. I hate the heat and love the cold. Unfortunately, my skin disagrees and I get horrible winter hands.
4. I've never had a pet and have no drive to have one.
5. I love crafting and learning new skills- over lockdown I took down my kids old PJ's and turned them into teddy bears.
In other news, I had to guess my calories today as had a salad from a takeout place for breakfast. But overall I think I stayed on track. Got another run in, still not upto 5K but getting better.5 -
@conleywoods Girl u look amazing! Keep up the good work.3

@ashleycarole86 oooh you've got good taste. Heat waves is an amazing track obviously but the other two are nice too4

@conleywoods your progress pics are amazing 👏 awesome job, and thank you so much for the input on weights.
@DD265 thanks for the weight lifting info. In the sticks we are not so close to gyms and such but i am going look around and see what i come up with.
@Pearl4686 .. 6 languages.. nice! I have trouble keeping up with english and my terrible spanglish 😆 very cool!2 -
Happy Monday! I am NOT loving this time change. I woke up at 4:30 and Mabel woke up at 4:45! I really wanted to workout so I turned on the TV, brought 3 sets of weights and did a 48 minute workout. It took me just over an hour because Mabel interrupted me alot. She also "worked out" with me." It was one of the best workouts I have done in awhile. After work, I had to go to Costco and it was dark when I left. I hate that.
@conleywoods you look amazing! Keep it up.
@ashleycarole86 and @Bowens1973 I want more details!!! Who lived where? When/where did you meet in person? When did one of you make the big move??? I love a good love story!4 -
My 5 things
1. I am the youngest of 5 and the only girl
2. I fell off a skateboard in 2nd grade and broke my nose and knocked out my front teeth, right before my oldest brother graduated from high school
3. My husband and I had 2 kids before we got married and 2 after. The first two still have my maiden last name.
4. I collect books to read when I retire. I hate reading on a tablet. I try to read 1 book a month but constantly buy books.
5. I spent my first three year of college studying marketing and decided to switch to psychology! It took me any extra year to finish my BA. I was a research assistant for Evolutionary Psychology and planned to get my PhD, but got a Masters in teaching instead.6 -
Another day comes to a close - must be time for some friendly reminders!!
Weigh-ins due up through Tuesday:

Been hitting the Halloween candy hard. =P
Next week will be better! Assuming I can ever post. Having the worst time getting in this weekend.
Five facts about me:
1) I met my husband when I was 17. He's the only person I've ever been with and I've very nearly been with him longer than I was alive before meeting him.
2) I'm an only child.
3) I read VERY fast. I've been known to read two or three books in a single day.
4) When I'm cold my extremities heat up rapidly, which means I have become hypothermic in relatively mild low temperatures.
5) I collect geeky/rare stuffed animals and they are overtaking the bedroom closet. My favorite is Grunty, he's from an old video game called .Hack.7 -
@bowens1973 I'm also a safety person in oil and gas. Well, oil and gas adjacent. We make H2S analyzers (among other things). But I'm only up to 6.5 years. =P4

Today was a good exercise day. I started with 16 min of Pilates. Took a 40 minute leisurely walk and rode my stationary bike for 30 minutes.
