I've decided to weigh in 2x a week instead of just Fridays. I think this will help me stay on track. I added hot lemon water first thing in the morning. Someone suggested it helps flush the toxins from our bodies and may curb the appetite. It certainly can't hurt to try.8 -

Not the results I was expecting to be honest🧐I felt there would be a shift on the scale in the negative direction.
The past week I ate below my caloric suggestion EVERY day….which is a first! AND I walked my butt off 5 days too!
Perhaps I was too low in my Net calories? Decided to do measurements, and I have lost inches around the waist - about 3 since Jan/21. A healthier waist circumference was a big concern for me when I started this journey so I guess I am making progress, though slow.

Hello all! I am going to give this a try. I have been actively watching my CICO for almost 2 years. In the spring I started eating gluten free-ish (about 95%) to help alleviate symptoms from hashimoto's. I started Dec 1, 2019 at 231.0 lbs. I am a 38 year old mom of two who "loves" to run half marathons.
11/1: 203.4 lbs - 20 days out from my half marathon and no motivation to train.
11/2: 202.6 lbs - yesterday was a good day eating wise but not much exercise.
11/3: 202.4 lbs - I was able to get in a run yesterday and my husband made an awesome GF lasagna. good day all around!
11/4: 202.2 lbs - Not much activity yesterday but I kept my calories in line.
11/5: 201.6 lbs - I weighed in much later today which is probably most of the decrease. I ran 2 miles yesterday. I am 2 weeks out from my half marathon and couldn't do my last long run last weekend bc I was sick. So I broke my 12 miler over today and tomorrow. I ran 6 this afternoon and will run 6 tomorrow morning. I am eating gluten today bc Chick-fil-A chicken tenders sounded way too good after my run but I only ate half my fries bc I was full. Have a great weekend all!!
11/6: 202.0 lbs - I expected the increase due to the Chick-fil-A. I was only able to get in 3 miles this morning. I haven't eaten well today but stayed within my calories.
11/7: 201.8 lbs - not great for eating today. We will see what happens to the scale tomorrow.
11/8: DNW - I had to run out to the school bc my daughter forgot her glasses, so I did not weigh in. Happy Monday everyone!!
11/9: 202.8 lbs - I've been under calories everyday... frustrating but just the way it goes.
11/10: 202.0 lbs - I've been eating fairly well but not wanting to be active.
11/11: 202.0 lbs - happy thursday!
11/12: 200.6 lbs - I'm sure this loss will rebound a little. I weighed in late and did not eat much yesterday.

Mfp's set daily calorie intake at (1,554), and I try to stay around this amount. I eat whatever I want, but I try to eat in moderation. As long as this is working for me, I'll stay at it. I will adjust my daily calorie intake, when it no longer seems to be working. As some of you know, when it comes to losing weight, things can always change.8 -

This challenge is very helpful in keeping a slightly longer-term view in sight of what is working or not working with day-to-day eating and exercising. The timing is also critical for the holiday season and already I'm seeing issues with being able to accurately track and keep within calories and it is only half-way through the first month!! I hope I'll make better decisions going forward.10 -

---November thoughts: Hi everyone! I lost about 10 lbs. in the last challenge, so while not a crazy amount, it definitely was motivational for me! I like the idea of a 3 month goal as it allows some room for flexibility and adjustments, but not so much that you feel like you can slack. And with it being the holidays, I'll need to stay balanced more than ever and remember that a holiday is a holiday, not a holiweek.---
I set my challenge goal for 147 lbs, which would put me at a healthy BMI again. I felt so fantastic in the 140s last year and can't wait to get back. But first, we gotta hit the 150s! So that's my goal for this month! Then I figured I'd give myself the other two months to lose the next 10 lbs, which I figure is more flexible with the holidays in case I have weeks where I only manage to maintain.
11/1: 164.8 lbs
11/8/21: 164.2 lbs
11/15/21: 164.6 lbs
I seem to be maintaining pretty good so far this month, and while it is certainly better than gaining, I am ready to turn the tides and give myself a big push these last couple of weeks in November! If I really give it my best, I can still hit my goal of 159 lbs. by the end of November. Here's to seeing 161.5 lbs. next week!7 -

I'm continuing from the last challenge. I lost 6 pounds. My goal is to keep moving toward a plant-based eating plan and ultimately get my weight into a BMI of 22-23 or about 125-128 pounds. I'm 71and fighting to keep all the same "metabolic junk" that shows up in my family as they get older because I don't want to end up with a bunch of prescriptions. I'm working out with weights and doing low-impact aerobics and walking. I was weighing in on Wed, but I've switched to Mon now ... maybe I'll be more accountable on the weekends that way.

This month's goal: make my own lunches instead of going to Subway or Panera's.
8/10 work days so far in Nov.- I made my own healthy lunch.
I also plan on going for a brisk walk during my lunch- even if it's cold.

11/16: 294.4 ⬆️ (+0.4 oz) I had an appointment late yesterday afternoon, to have all my vital organs checked out. That are around and just below, and behind my rib cage. I had to do a complete fast, which meant (no food or liquids, including water) from around 7 pm the night before to after 5 pm yesterday. My body is used to having a lot of water, and I believe this is the main reason for the slight gain this morning.

11/17: 297.8 ⬆️ (+3.4 lbs)This is definitely my fault. 😩 I'm in an emotional eater, and was feeling a little low yesterday. I did what I would normally do and that's turn to food. I'm working on overcoming this bad habit. I wasn't going to post this, because I felt embarrassed 😔 that I lost control. But. to be honest the closer the holidays come, the more I'll struggle with my feelings. Thanksgiving 🦃 and Christmas 🎄 is a hard time for me since I no longer have family. So I tend to get low and emotional at this time of the year. But, I'm trying to work on not turning to food for comfort. I am trying to find another way to cope over the holidays. Even though the next 1-1/2 months will be a trying time for me, I refuse to give up.
