About to finish up with Christmas candy making for the day. Needless to say, today has been SWEET!

wondering how one initiates the end of a marriage without making it exponentially worse. If that's possible.

Been there done that, without malice, anger or hatred, just the facts ma'am, ripe off the bandage quick. Heard this in a movie once, would you rather be shot in the head and die quick or shot in the neck and slowly bleed out. Not exactly the quote but close enough.

Maybe not during the holiday season - (if there are kids involved) ...

Just sitting in my office watching the minutes slowly tick by until I can go home. I have a love/hate relationship with my work in December. On one hand I'm pretty slammed May through October...November starts to slow down a bit and I get caught up with a bunch of back burner stuff...but December is just dead and there are literally days where I have almost nothing going on...it's a nice break in a way, but it can also be incredibly boring and make the days very long. Things will start moving again in January, and by April things will really start ramping up...so I try to tell myself just to enjoy the boredom as it will be replaced by business soon enough.

You know, my work schedule is similarly cyclical - although I'm typically also slow in July when most of my clients schedule vacations. The last couple of years have been atypical. This year I was slammed through November and slowed down in early December. I'm busy this week and next and then have nothing from Dec. 16th - Jan. 18th - when I will join you in being incredibly bored.

    Oooh, what kind of candy?

I need to get into the baking mood but 1. no room in my freezer and 2. I'll end up eating it all. :/

Totally agree whether there are kids involved or not.
Will it come as a shock? Approach it gently and as kindly as you can. It won't be an easy thing to do, no matter what.

Worked until 7 and I'm really hungry. I'm currently eating some veggie penne pasta with cheddar cheese sauce and peas. Not a gourmet dinner - but quick and easy

Getting ACID (loops and sequencing) setup again, and playing with some virtual instruments against drum loops.

This is very cool. The posts of you playing guitar is nice to listen to as well. There is a website called loopcloud if interested in checking it out. Don’t know if they have a free trial but there is a community and 3 tier subscription plan.

Still going through old ACID stuff, trying to set it up again (that's the software package for loops, recording and so on)...

Here's some more, if anyone's interested...I made most of these a while ago. I don't have a good way of recording guitar atm...not really sure what's the best approach to keep out the white noise.

    *Guitar, "Three Frets Down"
    https://voca.ro/12bFnULgAEGF

    *Guitar, "Rundown"
    https://voca.ro/1gjdrNSIlYD5

    *Guitar, "Blue Toe Hop"
    https://voca.ro/1nRHD2F4LP7d

I have a Yamaha keyboard that can also serve as a midi controller, which is a way of recording notes that then can have applied all kinds of sounds and effects over them. I'd love to upgrade my actual piano, but that is pretty darn expensive.

    *Piano (midi), "Blue Bop"
    https://voca.ro/1iAsLCpP2dsx

    *Piano (midi effects), "Sad Piano"
    https://voca.ro/1lNYu8hDfCLH

This one I "programmed" the notes based on a sequence I had been playing around with...then added the loops and midi effects:
    *Midi Piano & Loops, "Descent"
    https://voca.ro/15eToobFwRAx

This one is just samples from the ACID software mixed up. It's quite fun to use, imo:
*Just Loops & sequencing, "Lounge Beat"
