Just hit 200k meters for the challenge this evening. Will finish w/210k meters tomorrow as scheduled.

C2's "contribution" to my designated charity - the WHO Covid-19 vaccine campaign - is $6 to date. C2's total contribution limit is $70k for the challenge and $55,22.125 has been raised so far.

BTW, Concept2 hit their max donation today or late yesterday (45K). So any meters after this won't add to your charity but I'll likely still shoot for 200K just as a personal challenge.

I was just looking on my log and they seem to have upped it to $70k this year (they're showing $56,000 raised so far so keep logging those metres!

    11,578 today and 198,012 cumulative.

Congrats Sgt and somemfpuser for finishing it already!

I was actually gonna finish today because just wanted to get it done but had a neighbor interrupt to personally bring by a Holiday card. Something you really can't get upset about! But if I get interrupted once I get in a rhythm, it really throws me off. After that it seemed like a grind today.

Dec. 23: BikeErg, 16,415 meters, counts as 8,208 challenge meters. 205,340 meters cumulative.

Will I row tomorrow? Hmm, we'll see. 😉

Congrats Sgt . . . for finishing it already!

    Thanks!

I actually finished the challege today w/a total of 210k meters and a total of $6.40 earned for my charity.

I'm sure you'll be able to row the remaining 1,988 meters that you need to row to finish the challenge w/200k meters tomorrow. Even at my slow pace, you'd get it done in less than 12 mins. Just do it early to get it out of the way.

And, after you do, don't forget to request your Free Holiday Challenge Pin and to print out your Challenge Certificate.

Congrats to everyone who gets it done. Remember, C2 challenges like these aren't just about how many meters you can row but how much $ you can earn to contribute towards the charity that you chose to sponsor.

    Happy holidays to you all!

Bonus meters, but a shorter outing than I've been doing.

RowErg, 5,785 meters, 211,125 meters cumulative, closing the book on the 2021 Challenge.

I'm not actually sure how many years I've done the Holiday Challenge. I started rowing back in 2002, but didn't have a rowing machine at home until a few years later, though I machine rowed fairly regularly in the university's erg room. I know I did the 200k Holiday Challenge in 2004, 2009, 2012, and 2017-2020 because I can find the pins. So, eight times, at least, including 2021? And I know I finished 100k in 2010, too.

I came up just shy of 200K. Not too disappointed as at one time I didn't expect to hit 100K!

My rower is outside in the shed, so I pull it out and do it on my back deck. The Winters here in Tucson don't get that bad typically. We had one of those very rare days yesterday when it rained with strong winds nearly all day long and it soaks the entire deck. It was either clean up the garage and set it up in there or skip it on Christmas Eve and I skipped it.

I've learned there shouldn't be any absolute musts with working out. That's actually progress for me because I have such an A type personality.

    Happy Holidays!
