Winter chills booster drinks prepared! πŸ‹πŸ πŸŒΆοΈ 🍡
I don't know about you, but I can't be bothered making up drinks when I feel ill. So, I'm prepping ahead of the inevitable. If I feel like it, I'll make more and just have one of these every day.
Mix it up to your personal taste πŸ˜‹
How to make: fresh lemon rind & fresh ginger chopped and sprinkled into an ice cube tray.
In a saucepan, gently heat turmeric & kumin & nutmeg powders, nigella seeds, ground dried sechuan & birdseye chilli & black pepper in a little ex-virgin olive oil, add some chopped ginger, heat a little longer, then add some water or green tea, fresh lemon juice, mint leaves, cloves and honey.
Continue to heat to infuse all the flavours then strain into a jug.
Leave to cool then pour into the ice cube tray. Top up with water or green tea.
Freeze and use cubes in hot drinks when you've got a cold or sore throat.

That sounds soooo good. I usually do a shot of apple cider vinegar with chopped garlic and honey. And hot herbal tea.

I've just had one and my tongue is tingling from the turmeric and pepper πŸ˜‹

I need to see if I can find some cider vinegar here because I see it mentioned a lot. I don't think I've ever had it.

This is good for using up leftovers to make lunch or brunch at the weekend. This version is French toast 'n' cheese, with a mix of tinned tomatoes, mixed beans, chopped potatoes, grated carrot, Worcestershire sauce and seasoning to taste, and crispy lardons sprinkled on top. Leftover mixes can be used to top baked potatoes, added to a wrap with egg or just with plain toast.
    This was 350 calories.
