1/17 246.5 I was extra surprised by the number on the scale this morning. Hopefully my Saturday of sinful calories won’t catch up with me tomorrow. 😂 Back in school with masks today, and 8 of the 15 rooms in my building are on modified quarantine status, I’m just waiting for my turn. I’m grateful parents and students didn’t put up a fight about wearing masks.
1/18 248.5 There’s my weekend weight! Staying on track with calories today should help me get back down.
1/19 247 There it is again, 247, my body seems to want to hold on this this one. 🙃 I hit my protein and fiber goals while staying under calories today, so maybe tomorrow is the day I kiss it good buy forever!
1/20 245.5 A new low! I planned my calories today because I’m only human and its half-priced Sonic Corn Dogs Day. I stayed under calories, but I was also under on protein and fiber.
1/21 245.5 holding steady, but went over on calories a bit. I was so hungry all day even with 150 grams of protein, so I indulged in some pudding for desserts and I’ll take the extra calories.
1/22 - 244.5 Hey! 2 pounds down! I’ve been noticing that my 5 week prediction hasn’t been dropping as much as it used to, and I know I’ll need to be making some more changes soon. So I started researching gym options in my area. I know I need lower my calorie goal, but I’d rather start working off some more than trying to consume less. Eventually I’ll have to do both, but one step at a time!🙂

1/17 375.2 – 5151 steps. Great day. Enjoyed splurge. Back on it today. Glad I did not gain any more weight.
1/18 373.0 – 5768 steps. Got in a walk yesterday and ran errands with mask and shield on and enjoyed being out despite challenges. Dropped dinner off to my Dad at nursing home. I hope he enjoyed it and understands why we cannot come visit him at nursing home.
1/19 373.0 – 5672 steps. Good day and got in a short walk. Came under calories. I always thought with the WW points I was eating too much but I could never know because it was not calories. With MFP and actual calories and macros, I can figure out some things! I attribute that to why I am now losing consistently now. I am eating less and still not feeling deprived. The WW zero-point foods are very deceptive. I always knew it, but I just tried to make it work for me. It may work for some, but it does not work for a person with a binging problem.
1/20 373.0 – 6158 steps. Carb feast on skinny pop popcorn but still under calories. Good exercise also. Had a great salad. I love the salad kits They work for now.
1/21 372.0 – 5442 steps. Two good short walks inside and under calories. I am happy to be on the losing end at the end of each 10 days, but my goal is to lose 3 pounds each challenge while I am in the 300’s. I know as I get closer to 300 it will get tougher. The lowest weight I have been since I have been on this journey since 2004 is 301. For the 1st time in a long time, I can see myself getting under 300 if I don’t lose my focus.

My journey … "I May Not Be Where I Want To Be, but I’m Not Where I Use To Be!"In 2003 Weighed over 600 lbs.My highest weight was 611 in 2003. Weight in 2004 before weight loss surgery was 580. I joined MFP on March 27, 2010 weighing in at 388 pounds. I was re-gaining weight and stumbled up on it while trying to get back on track. I was determined never to see 400+ on that scale again for me.
I have been morbidly obese all my life. I have a lifetime of mental and physical scars from obesity. In October 2004 I had Gastric Bypass surgery. WLS (Weight Loss Surgery) was the best gift that I could and did give to myself.
Between 2008 and 2010 I gradually gained back 80 of almost 300 pounds lost initially after weight loss surgery. I never reached my goal weight of 200 pounds. I still managed to keep off over 65 percent of the weight I lost which is very good and I am very proud of my accomplishments since 2004. It has literally changed my life for the better on all levels. I am here to lose re-gained weight and to reach my initial goal weight. I am in no hurry. I am taking this one day at a time and I am in it for the long haul.
Surgery did not fix the head. It is a good tool and the best gift I have given to myself, but it was not the easy way out as many people think. Once the honeymoon period is over after the WLS it is up to the patient to keep the weight off.
On August 29, 2011-- I was admitted to Intensive Out Patient Eating Disorder Program to learn how to manage my binge eating disorder effectively. The program is wonderful indeed and will be instrumental in me reaching all of my goals. The focus of this program was how to eat and not diet. Weight loss was not a goal of the program. I actually gained 20 pounds in program. But I had to get thru a lot of stuff and my the time I was released I had stopped gaining. I was discharged from program on December 3, 2011.
My tool is still working for me today. My head is still the issue. SO the struggle continues. I will never beat myself up again. I fight the fine fight faithfully and positively everyday. Because that is what will get me to my goals one day. Even though it may not show up on the scale every day -- Everyday I make progress one way or another just by showing up, waking up and trying.
Giving up is not an option for me. Perseverance, Patience, & Positive thinking will help me reach my goals…… and the same is true for you too!! We have the power within us.10 -

I started the 52 lbs in 52 weeks challenge 5th January and it's been going great so far 😊 but I can already feel my resolve slipping and having got to goal weight before I had my kids I know how important these first few weeks are! I'm surprised at this. Yesterday was a Covid-19 isolation nightmare! We're all ill, kids obviously couldn't go to nursery and a small glass of red wine and cookie was my answer 😂 ToM also started today... maybe the stress burned the extra calories 🤔 Thankfully our PCRs came back negative this morning so feel like I can get back on track!

Yesterday was less stressful and the kids are back at nursery today but I'm still feeling pretty rough. Managed to stay under my daily calorie goal but with it being the ToM I was worried about water weight so was happily surprised to see a big daily loss. Going to work hard today to maintain it 💪but am trying to psychologically prepare myself for when the losses slow/stall so I don't give up!

Round 175 (107th for me). Thanks @QuiltingJaine. Here we go again, I prove time and time again, round after round that I need this to help keep me on the straight and narrow! Would like to lose a pound this round.Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, It's took me 75 rounds to achieve my under 130 target; back to maintenance again!! But than I crept up again, so need to get back under 130. A healthy life style has to be a permanent way of life.

1/18 137.2 – 11.03 miles walked, calories under, but on reflection not the best choices as carbs & fat 19 & 15g over respectively.
1/19 138.6 – ugghhr !! bad choices yesterday, big binge . 9.92 miles walked yesterday.
1/20 138.2 -13.25 miles walked yesterday & an hours yoga. Good food choices, calories & all macros well under. Should try to remember it takes twice as long to undo a binge than to do it !
1/21 137.8 – good choices yesterday, 288 calories & 108 carbs over due to no structured walking; travelled up to spend day with DD & little DGSs – we played !! It was wonderful!
1/22 139.6 – oh my giddy aunt!!! Should have expected this really, Indian meal out with friends last night; high sodium/fat/carbs which are difficult to calculate calories etc. & also ate after 9 pm. 8.25 miles walked yesterday including to and from the restaurant.
1/23 138.8 – 9.45 miles walked yesterday, calories just 5 over, but carbs 45g over, need to work more on carbs now I think.

1/21: 184.4 Was feeling the urge to blow my diet yesterday, but managed to reign myself in and stay (mostly) on track with my calories and went out for a nice walk in the evening.
1/22: 187.8 Went way overboard yesterday. Made cookies, dinner at a friend’s, too much wine, and then late night munchies. Hoping most of this is water weight, but we shall see.
1/23: 188.2 Up even more. I didn’t think yesterday was horrible, but was probably high sodium. Still hoping this recent gain is only temporary. Focusing on healthy eating and lots of water today.

01/17 - 148 - This has to be due to some extra salt this weekend. In the meantime, I should get some exercise in today while helping my husband shovel the 13 to 14 inches of snow that fell on our driveway last night. I feel fortunate that I can call out of work today, in my younger years I would have powered through the snow with my rear wheel drive, manual transmission Chevy Chevette.
01/18 - 148 - Back to the office today. Tax season starts this week, so that means long hours, weekend work, and company bought lunches. I'll do my best to stay on track.
01/19 - 146.5 - I expect a little bounce tomorrow, but it's good to see I'm trending in the right direction.
01/20 - 146.5 - I've been really good about tracking my food. I need to keep it up and maybe I can get down to 146.
01/21 - 147 - I'm a little disappointed about the bump up considering I've been keeping on plan. However, my weight last Friday was 149.5, so I'm still doing OK.
01/22 - 147 - We had pizza last night so I pulled out my food scale to make sure I had an accurate amount for my food diary. Brrr, it's cold outside. It was -2F right before I left for work today. I hope everyone else is keeping warm.
01/23 - 146 - I had a catered lunch at work yesterday and then I came home to sausage corn chowder and beer bread my husband had made. I expect a bump in the scale tomorrow, but I didn't go too far over my maintenance calories and I'm back on track today.

Hello! I'm back after skipping the last round. I struggled getting my head back in the game following the holidays and thought stepping back from recording it all would help. I did get back to fully logging and weighing foods and I always weigh myself everyday (no deniability, lol!). I have lost all my additional holiday weight and a touch more and moving closer to my goals. I have read all of last round's posts and you all are doing so well; you've inspired me to get back on track! Also, @coblujay thank you for you motivating comments two rounds ago.
Goal this Round: 137.0 lbs
Vacation goal, end of Feb: 135.0, also original UGW, also weight on my driver's license (a lie, for so many years!)
I have had the realization that my UGW needs to move downward to 130 lbs (possibly another 5 lbs, but I am choosing to ignore that for now). This adjustment in UGW is even with 5-6 days/week of weight lifting for close to a year and cardio since last spring. I have been losing inches (not many, I haven't lost that much weight), but 2-3 more pounds of loss to my original UGW is certainly not going to flatten this stomach, lol! My two kids are around 30 years old; I believe my excuse for the mommy pooch is fading fairly quickly.

1/18 137.9. Went skiing today. I'm a beginner and I accidentally took a blue slope (there were several turnoffs from my desired, green path). (Green = beginners, blue = intermediate, black diamond = advanced, double black diamond = expert, at least in the U.S. The colors relate to the steepness of the slope). I was pretty much scared out of my mind! It was way too steep for this scaredy-cat! Fortunately, the green slope criss-crossed the blue slope I was on, so I was only on a blue slope for a bit (too long of a bit for me). I fell several times, the first time on my 'bad' hip (which oddly, has never bothered me while skiing). I had bursitis last year and am only 90% of the way healed, I think. Just when I think it is fully healed, it says hello! I still do my hip PT exercises every day. My hip is feeling fine, btw. I jumped into our hot tub when I got home, which is always helpful for sore muscles and whatnot. Keeping close to my calorie goal today; I probably will end up 100 over, still under maintenance. If I feel hungry on skiing days, I listen. I've never looked up the calorie burn, but I figure it is pretty high.
1/19. 138.6. Well, I ended yesterday a good 250 calories over my budget (not 100 as previously thought). Still under maintenance. I also looked up mfp's calorie burn for skiing. Wow! Even if I cut that in half, it is a lot of calories. For the first time the day after skiing, I am sore. Just a typical soreness, though. I did take ibuprofen in the middle of the night, though. It's all good. However, I did not do my usual exercises this day, but I will do my stretching and hip PT ones later. Hope everyone has a great day!

1/21 139.4. Didn't record my weight here yesterday; I've input two days worth. Going skiing again today with my daughter. Although she hasn't skied for a few years, she used to ski black diamonds. If she does, I certainly won't be with her! I MAY consider going down a blue slope with her, but only if I tackle some more green ones well (I'm not feeling it).
1/22. 137.9. @jaccimc63 Sausage Corn Chowder soup sounds great! I Googled up a recipe and will make it in the next day or two. Skiing was great yesterday and my daughter gave me a lot of helpful tips. Although I didn't go down any blue runs, I did go on a lot of other green ones. It's a beautiful day here in Colorado, sunny and with a fresh layer of snow. I grew up in an area that got just as much snow, but for the most part, the sky was gray during the winter, always keeping the snow around. The sun is out most days in CO and it burns off the snow pretty quickly.

Well, this makes no sense since my calories have been below goal for over a week. Salt? Maybe, but we don’t use much salt in our cooking. I did bake oatmeal chocolate chip cookies for DH yesterday and ate one, but that couldn’t do it. Oh, well. Today is soup day—I’m making Moroccan harira soup with chickpeas, green lentils, lots of veggies & a variety of spices. Can’t wait to try it! Now off to play in the snow with the pup, and then I hope to get some writing done on this cold, snowy Sunday. Have a good one, all. Stay warm!

01/18 …..193.8 ….. Trend weight 193.0) Good meals but too much grazing during the day. Extra hungry for some reason. Today there will be more work on the living room reno project. This project will last several weeks. No room. Furniture covered and in the center. No privacy again. However, the dining room turned out nice and the living room will be an even bigger impact! Glad to be getting some of this out of the way during the cold snowy and icy months. I will need some alone time to leave the house to walk when the weather gets better.
01/19 …..193.2 ….. (Trend weight 193.1) Well, this certainly proves that results, good or bad, are not always reflected the very next morning. I had a bad eating day yesterday for sure. Yet the scale is down. Very low steps, practically no water. Very bad sleep, disrupted. Busy, busy day. Yet the scale is down by slightly over ½ pound. This must be a result of the past couple of days where my meals were more planned and within my limits. I suspect the scale will creep back up because of yesterday’s fiasco. I’ll work on a good day today.
01/20 …..192.6 ….. (Trend weight 193.0) Not a perfect day dietary wise, but more improvements made in choices and quantities. Very little movement as it is still restricted. Only 7000+ steps. I’m going to focus on water today. I haven’t been drinking enough. Glad to see that scale dropped, but also that my trend weight has turned around a tidbit and going down instead of up finally.
01/21 …..193.0 ….. (Trend weight 193.0) More lack of movement yesterday and not as much water as planned. However, my quantities of food were excellent. My choices were very good. Proud of my day except for that late night piece of pumpkin pie with Cool Whip. It was very rich and heavy so the piece was not large but it still did it’s damage apparently or this is a carry-over from a couple of days ago when I overate and just couldn’t get full. Either way, I need to stay consistent!
01/22 …..193.6 ….. (Trend weight 193.1) WTH? I had an excellent (but low exercise/movement) day! I was within calorie. Scale up, trend weight up slightly but fat % the same as yesterday. The only thing I can think of is that I had pasta for dinner although within calorie. Low 5000+ steps. Ugh. Not too much I can do about that yet.

I did have Chinese carry-out for dinner brought in by daughter so I expected a bump up even though I drank extra water and I only ate half leaving leftovers for today, but the rest of my day was very good. It has to be the lack of exercise. This project is not yet half finished . My poor grandson is trapped upstairs and I’m trapped down. I’ve got to use the steps today for some extra movement.

That’s awesome you both met your goals, congratulations! The right trainer is so key, the one I found always mixes it up with her music with everything from 70’s to 90’s music and all sorts of genres too, so I never get bored. The length of the rides vary too which is nice if you want a quick 20 minute ride or a longer 60 minute one.4 -
