26: 193.5 🥚 Honestly shocked by this. Fancy birthday dinner was amazing. Ribeye (I saved about half of it for today) with bagna cauda sauce, potato pave, and arugula salad with a glass of red wine. Started fasting an hour later than usual.
27: 194.9 I was so hungry yesterday. I'm not surprised by the increase, as I was well over my calories. Not a typical thing for me, so I'm confident the gain will be lost soon.

2/26 ~ 200.2. Went on a 7.5k walk and out for dinner was wondering if my sodium intake would be too high but I seemed to fair ok. Happy Saturday!!
2/27 ~ 199.4 I was busy in the day and the weather was terrible here so I decided to go walk the 2 largest Supermarkets to get my steps in. It worked! Hit steps and activity.

Need to knuckle down now and make each round count, DS's wedding is later this spring & I want to feel happy with myself on the day. Aim this round to be lower than the start, but a pound would be nice, concentrate on good food choices & think before I put anything in my mouth!!Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, It's took me 75 rounds to achieve my under 130 target; back to maintenance again!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back under 130. A healthy life style has to be a permanent way of life.

I joined MFP on March 27, 2010 weighing in at 388 pounds. I was re-gaining weight and stumbled up on it while trying to get back on track. I was determined never to see 400+ on that scale again for me.
I have been morbidly obese all my life. I have a lifetime of mental and physical scars from obesity. In October 2004 I had Gastric Bypass surgery. WLS (Weight Loss Surgery) was the best gift that I could and did give to myself.
Between 2008 and 2010 I gradually gained back 80 of almost 300 pounds lost initially after weight loss surgery. I never reached my goal weight of 200 pounds. I still managed to keep off over 65 percent of the weight I lost which is very good and I am very proud of my accomplishments since 2004. It has literally changed my life for the better on all levels. I am here to lose re-gained weight and to reach my initial goal weight. I am in no hurry. I am taking this one day at a time and I am in it for the long haul.
Surgery did not fix the head. It is a good tool and the best gift I have given to myself, but it was not the easy way out as many people think. Once the honeymoon period is over after the WLS it is up to the patient to keep the weight off.
On August 29, 2011-- I was admitted to Intensive Out Patient Eating Disorder Program to learn how to manage my binge eating disorder effectively. The program is wonderful indeed and will be instrumental in me reaching all of my goals. The focus of this program was how to eat and not diet. Weight loss was not a goal of the program. I actually gained 20 pounds in program. But I had to get thru a lot of stuff and my the time I was released I had stopped gaining. I was discharged from program on December 3, 2011.
My tool is still working for me today. My head is still the issue. SO the struggle continues. I will never beat myself up again. I fight the fine fight faithfully and positively everyday. Because that is what will get me to my goals one day. Even though it may not show up on the scale every day -- Everyday I make progress one way or another just by showing up, waking up and trying.
Giving up is not an option for me. Perseverance, Patience, & Positive thinking will help me reach my goals…… and the same is true for you too!! We have the power within us. 9 -
@MSWDiet - Good to see you back friend! MFP works if you stick with it my friend. The tracker is great. You can set it at the calorie amount you want. The support is here also. This challenge is great but there are others too. Some are part of others. Me I only have time for one and making time for this one is a challenge....lol But I make the time because it benefits me and it helps the group also. Welcome back!! Never give up! @PrimalJillian - Life has special occasions and we have to live....so you will have a bump up. Enjoy the bump and get right back to business the next day. If you have a vacation. Enjoy your vacation within reason, do a lot of moving, walking, and be mindful of your choices also without going super crazy but still enjoying your vacation and not worrying about the scale so much. When you return get back on it.
When I was on vacations in the pass, my goal was to gain not more than 2 pounds and wait 2-3 days before getting on my scale. If a scale was available while I was out of town, I used it. If not I did not worry about it. When I was under 350 there was usually a scale in hotel or on cruise ship so I continued to weigh even if not daily, I did weigh sometime or another just to check myself. When I did not have a scale, I still did great on vacations..... Most times I maintained and one cruise I even lost a pound by using above method of waiting 2-3 days to weigh. I do this to give my time to get back on track and to get rid of excess sodium you have from eating out.
So enjoy the special occasions in peace and know you got this girl! You know what to do and you know why the scale went up and that is the point of daily weigh ins. It educates us on learning our bodies and what makes us tick. Anytime we gain or lose we learn a little bit more. 5 -
@deepwoodslady - Donna, we all have put our foot in our mouths. (((HUGS))) I feel your pain here because it can cause a binge and or comfort eating. Whatever you want to call it. Put it behind you and move on and try to do better next time is all you can do. Remember food will not bring the words back or take away the hurt they may have inflicted. That you can fix sometimes and sometimes you can't. Either way feeding it with food only hurts you in the long run. 2/27 125.0 Sorry I’ve been MIA lately. Posting every day got hard to fit in and then I felt like I just needed a break from posting each day. My tracking has been good but my body is fighting back with crazy water retention this week from my new strength routine and where I’m at in my cycle. Gotta love a double whammy. At the beginning of the week I was like 120ish and this morning I was 125. Craziness. Hoping it drops soon. My husband and I went to the gym this morning and I did an hour on the lateral elliptical for some low impact cardio. I’m hoping to see a whoosh this week at some point. Dinner tonight will be roasted butternut squash and London broil steak. I hope everyone is doing well!

2/26 - 264.8 - Down 15.2 pounds - I had a really heavy dinner last night Homemade tacos. Worth every calorie. I still worked out and I am still proud of my progress.

Goals: stay in a mild calorie deficit, hit 110-140 grams of protein per day, 20-30 minutes of cardio on lifting days (4xweek, non-work days), complete all 6 programmed strength training sessions during my 4 days off per week. Aim this round to be lower than the start, but a pound would be nice, concentrate on good food choices & think before I put anything in my mouth!!Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, It's took me 75 rounds to achieve my under 130 target; back to maintenance again!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back under 130. A healthy life style has to be a permanent way of life.

New round, new attitude. My internist has moved on to other things, so I have a new-patient appointment with another doctor in the same practice in late July. That’s 20 weeks, and I’d like to be down 15-20 pounds by then. With weather warming up for more walks, getting back to serious tracking with my pup (lots of walking!), getting back to garden work, and eating more veggies, fewer snacks, it should be doable. Please kick my butt if I make more excuses!
