@SheilaBoneham Cataract surgery was the easiest surgery that my husband and I have ever had AND there is instant gratification!

Thanks for that, @quiltingjaine. I’m scheduled for surgeries in June. Now I’m trying to decide between the standard surgery or one of the two more expensive corrective-lens surgeries. A lot of money, but it’s a once-in-a-lifetime things, so tough decision.

@SheilaBoneham I considered monovision and the doctor said since I had adapted quickly to seeing with one contact when I was 18 that I would adapt to it quickly. However, I decided to go with distance in both. Last fall, after 9 years, I noticed I was having trouble with reading street names while driving and asked about that. I was told that was because of my astigmatism. I got a pair of progressive bifocals with magnetic sun glasses to wear when driving. Problem solved.
