Foggy and overcast today with a chance of rain. Yep, I'm in Edinburgh.
Train up from London was uneventful. It was raining when we got here.
DW has a trip to the castle planned today. Whiskey tour this evening.
Prayers for your mom, Dave. Wishing Sam's DMIL a speedy and complete recovery.
Digging out stumps has always seemed to be too much work, but sometimes it is the only way due to location of the stump. Hope those hands don't ache for too long, Dave.
The CPAP device is a scary thing to me after hearing all your stories of having to work out the kinks. Hopefully I will not ever need one.
How did the back feel after stretching and walking, Bill?
I think 1/2 mile is pretty good for the first lake swim of the year.

    Be OP ;-)

    Mornin'

Pouring rain this morning. Piano class in an hour.

Pulling out stumps... not something I would ever want to do unless I wanted the stump for my lathe, if I had one. Visions of truck rear axle pulled out chained to stump still in ground.

Sam, prayers for DMIL, Dave for DM.

Made ratatouille the other night in slow cooker, having as a side dish this week. Need to up the vegetable portions in my diet. I eat fruit regularly, but the veges not so much. And whole grains--I eat lots of whole grains but there's too much white bread that slips in, in between.

Saw a network news piece on a zero carb diet that can possibly cure type II diabetes by body burning organ fat. Interesting research.

Lee, don't fall in the whiskey vat.

    Have a good day.

    Good morning gentlemen.

Spoke with my mom yesterday. She feels fine. Just has to wait out her quarantine period - impatiently. Pretty good for a frail little old lady. We are all very relieved.

The stumps weren't very large - less than 6-inches in diameter - and on either side of the front steps there was certainly no place to approach with mechanical help. The fingers feel better today, anyway.

DS is feeling much better, too, so we will take him and his clan out to dinner tomorrow to celebrate his birthday.

I get the impression that it always rains in Scotland. But then, that's what people say about the Pacific Northwest. Oops, it's raining here, too.

    Good Morning

When we were in Scotland we seemed to get a bit of rain each day, but the sun would come back out. We realized why everyone carries umbrellas about with them.

I am off to finally pick up my prescription sunglasses, which were delayed and then sent back to have the lenses redone. I am thankful we will have the for our weekend getaway down the coast. More cleaning today. But I do have to try and reorder some CPAP supplies. The new DME is taking forever to get me set up and I am just about out of my Phillips stuff. I would prefer not to buy any Phillips stuff again. But if I return to the old DME to restock that is what I will get unless I pay out of pocket. There is still no word on my replacement machine, just that I am registered and it could take another 6 mos or more

    Good Afternoon,
Breakfast with Emmaus group this morning,
Then road TOAD a few towns over to get a hair cut
Went to hospital to visit DMIL
Then visited with neighbor who just got out of hospital with prostate issues second time, his story did not sound good since I have to see urologist Monday. Tomorrow appointment with eye consultants, ophthalmology.
Lee, drink plenty of whisky for me,
DW got her new machine from Phillips in a couple of months, just can't get supplies that are required for new machine.
Dave, glad DM is feeling OK; patience is not an elderly virtue
Mike be careful with any no/low carb diet, many end up with kidney problems; most folks with body mass index below 25 are able to reverse Type II diabetes provided they are active.
