@thenextloser135 - Perfect. You are all set! I used 243 as your starting weight, and your weigh in for the first two weeks of this month, so you should be taken care of from a spreadsheet perspective. Feel free to introduce yourself to the new members if you're up for it, and let us know if there's anything we can do to keep you on track!

    As for me this week...

    June Week Two

    Weigh In Day:Tuesdays
PW (Previous Weight): 176.2 (May 31st)
CW (Current Weight): 173 (June 7th)
LTD (Loss to Date): 61 lbs

That's more like it. I've been in a weird state lately, given I don't have a gym membership and need to rely on myself and whatnot (I wrote a whole blog post on this yesterday, so I won't go into detail here right now). But I've had some time to really focus in on my eating habits, and I think that's helped me shed off the post-Vegas bloat.

Did I actually burn an extra 10k calories in the past week? Doubt it. But did I help my body recover and release some water it was holding onto? Absolutely.

There's a corporate event at work this week, and I've got a big presentation on Thursday in front of a bunch of people who make way bigger decisions (and more money) than I do, so we'll see how the stress affects me in my weigh-in next week.

    Weigh In Day: Tuesday
    PW (Previous Weight):178.6
    CW (Current Weight):178.2

With the exercise I can see my body slimming down and I am happy for that even though the scale doesn't mark that difference.

So, to catch up those of you who are new (so the rest of my post makes sense) there is a book called Target 100 that recommends 1) 100 carbs/ day (I'm NOT doing this one), 2) getting 100 extra minutes of sleep a week, 3) getting 100 extra minutes of movement weekly, 4) getting in 100 minutes of exercise weekly, 5) drinking 100 oz of water daily and 6) getting 100 minutes of relaxation (meditation, whatever). I'm aiming for five of the six...

    Last week:
    Sleep: ✓
Water: probably not every day, definately at least 60.
    Movement: ✓ ~190
Exercise: ✓ I sucked at doing PT last week but I mowed Saturday.
Relaxation: ✓ I did a lot more than 100--Sun/Mon/Tues I was very lazy and did lots of relaxing...

My steps last week, since I forgot the last week of May...
    SUN: 2563
    MON: 2000
    TUES: 2000
    WED: 4526
    THURS: 3499
    FRI: 2568
SAT: 2943 (does not include mowing)

Clearly, I need to get moving more. Things at work have been crazy stupid busy...I'm not even having time for lunch. I grab bites between calls, zooms, panicked emails (responding to...), etc. I only managed a walk yesterday because I manage a vanpool and HAD TO do end of month van business (walk to bank, deposit $, drop off payment, etc). I keep thinking it will slow down, but it doesn't. I should know better.

My walks might be about over for the season. The heat is hitting highs well into 100's, and lows are in the mid 80's. Since I take my little guys with me, I have to be careful we don't go when it's too hot (which is pretty much always at this point).

Another week has passed, and another over 400 thousand steps have been taken towards better health. What a powerful crew! Stepping it up just a little bit more will set us up to reach over 2 MILLION steps by the end of the month, which would be an incredible accomplishment within itself. Who's up for the challenge???

We've been doing really well lately with weighing in before the calculations are completed on Sunday mornings, here's hoping we can keep it up!

If there are any questions or concerns or requests to be excused, don't hesitate to reach out! We are here to benefit you and if something isn't working for you, adjustments can be made. All you have to do is say something - we can't know you're struggling unless you speak up.

Keep tracking calories. Remember to always eat less calories than what you burn. That is the key to losing weight. I know you can do it. I lost 60 pounds over the course of one year. It’s slowly creeping back on me, but I know all I need to do is the magic formula of calories in less than calories out.
