08/12 -197.8- (Trend weight 199.4) Eating was not very good yesterday with daughter and grandson here for the weekend. Homemade chocolate banana walnut muffins and real 2% milk. I’m surprised to see a drop. I stuck to plan on meals but there was no room for that hefty snack! Blood pressure is still running way to low with the average being about 82/53 and pulse still running a bit high. It’s in the mid 90’s but should be much lower due to the lopresser medication I’m on. Watching it carefully but felt okay yesterday. Glucose is still much too high and the muffins didn’t make things any better. Staying away from them today! I have my reunion dinner tomorrow at a buffet. I’m going to try to eat like a lady tomorrow.

08/13 -198.4- (Trend weight 199.3) My daughter brought home Thai food from out of town. Only ate half but I retain water easier than ever these days. Reunion dinner with friends today out of town. Scale will be up again tomorrow, especially from the drive/sitting. The food won’t help either but I’ll be extra careful on Sunday. I want to stay in Onederland.

    08/14 -xxxxx- (Trend weight xxxxx)

Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

coming up on the last day of our 10-day round! I’m not sure if I’ll be able to write much tomorrow but I’ll definitely report my weight.
~ I’m proud that I was consistent with checking in through the entire challenge this go round. It was really important to me that I did that. Any weight loss will be an added bonus, especially since I never really did a good grocery run in preparation and my birthday celebrations trickled over to the first weekend of this challenge. So, I’ll take whatever loss I can get!
~ Today(Saturday) I plan to head to the grocery store and get better foods so I’ll be better prepared to say NO when my husband wants take out🤓

So seems noteworthy that if I succeed this time, then I would be able to say I overcame a challenging challenge in this 10-day challenge.”

@deepwoodslady It’s been sometime since I’ve been to Outback but unless it’s changed, I think it’s better. When we went to TR several weeks ago with neighbors they ordered 2 apps - fried pickles (🤮), cactus blossom onion (relatively tasteless). The doing sauces tasted as if the were based on Miracle Whip 🤮 and were sweet not spicy. I guess I need to go to Outback and see if it has deteriorated too. Meanwhile, we’ve been getting some pretty great steaks at Sam’s Club. Since I’m definitely a carnivore maybe a bovinebore(?), I could live on naked burgers or steak!😁😆🤣

8/6 118.0. GKI 6.6 Made chicken enchiladas from the leftover chicken breast. They were a little bland for my taste but DH has an intolerant tummy. In hindsight, mine are made in 1c corn tortillas and look different from his. I should have put some jalapeños in mine! Well, there are leftovers for today. DGD#2 arrives this evening. Eating out both tomorrow and Monday. A show tomorrow night and she gets to meet her new cousin who is 6 weeks old today.
8/7 118.5 GKI 12.7 Today we ladies are getting mani/pedis, family lun-ner at Great Greek and a show with DGD#2 at South Point.
8/8 118.5 GKI 11.0 The show last night was very good. Dinner at Juan’s Flaming Fajitas tonight with family.
8/9 120.5 GKI 7.5 I knew I would be up and I’m fine with it. It may go up more and that’s okay. Steak fajitas for late (for us) dinner, about 3 chips and one small flour tortilla (both of those are house made,) also one regular Margarita and one skinny Margarita. The later was SOOO sweet! Awake at 5:20 this morning.
8/10 119.5 GKI 12.3 I ate the 2 small flour tortillas I had left. DGD#2 went home. Amazing and sad how empty the house felt last night.

My maintenance range is 130-135 pounds and I had been at 1500 calories for maintenance plus eating back all of my exercise calories. I ended up changing my calories to 1350/day plus exercise calories to settle more into middle of my range instead of the higher end.

I am about 8.0 kg along the way to lose 32 kg. I use multiple tape measurements (cm) around my body because they aren't affected by salt intake. My weight has been dropping for 5 months now. Apparently I've been trying to lose weight since September 2012, the last time I was at goal weight. Let's see if stopping eating sugary food is going to change things.

    Heaviest ever 1st Jan 2021, goal+31.8 kg

This calculates to 801.5 cm, a loss from the last round

How this round went: I've had a major lifestyle change and now I have to keep my intake at 6,000 KJ ideally. As expected, I'm over that and by 6,300 KJ. This is my total overeating since 1st August. I want to keep it below 8,000 if at all possible. At the gym I'm slowly increasing my walking distance and speed. When I started just over a week ago I walked a total of 2.0 km and now I'm at 2.7 km. The plan is to increase things so slowly I won't get annoyed at the sudden increase. I'm pleased to say that's working. I've yet to start running, I'm thinking that's going to happen in the next week. Still having sugar almost daily.

    Day/Weight/Comment

8/05 - 149 - We have no parties this weekend, so I should be able to stay on track.
8/06 - 148.5 - We had pizza last night so I expected a carb and sodium bump. I may see it tomorrow, but I'll keep tracking today.
8/07 - 149 - We went to the local zoo this morning and had a nice walk. We got another membership this year because it's a nice way to get a long walk in.
    8/08 - 150.5
    8/09 - 150
8/10 - 150 - The weekend carbs and sodium are sticking around. I hope my weight drops tomorrow.
