    Happy Friday ladies!

Well this is Day 4 of Covid and it has quickly morphed into a allergy/head cold for me, which is what it's been doing for some other folks. I did wake up pretty early this morning with an earache. Messaged the doc, she said try Flonase but I didn't have any in the house and didn't feel like driving to town. So I took Zyrtec and an Advil and it's been doing the trick.

She did put me on "restrictions" thru the middle of next week - no overdoing it, plenty of rest, etc.

She also said I'll be developing some super antibodies so I'm glad to have the experience under my belt with really minimal discomfort when I look at it. I go off "quarantine" on Sunday so am working on my shopping list.

Need to try to get a nap in this afternoon.

Make it a fabulous weekend! <3

    Afternoon ladies
Phewww ,Miles is wearing me out he is skidaddling all over the place now and I have to keep up lol.
    He sure is adorable though..
    And we have fun...
The poor little guy though is cutting teeth left and right and was miserable today ,he took a couple of smaller naps today..
Im going to hold off a couple of weeks before getting the vaccines for the variant and the flu.. and the 2 questions I had were answered on the Today show this morning..
Went to the Verizon store, and the young man there helped me reset my phone.. here is hoping that did the trick.. I have to reset all the passwords for the Wi-Fi places I use but thats ok.

Machka, Hmmmmm...I wonder if it could be ITB Syndrome. Do I recall that you increased cycling about 6 months ago? Not sure if I am remembering that correctly.

Well I did about half my yoga today. Better than nothing but I really need more to get back into a weight loss range. And I need to cut back on the sugar too. Gotta make it my priority.

:) For all the sugar detox people, you might enjoy Eve Schaub's memoir "The Year of No Sugar"

:) I got my new glasses yesterday. They do nothing for the shadow at the top in my left eye but everything else is clear. The shadow won't go away but also shouldn't get worse. I feel grateful since I have been the driver for my friend who goes for macular degeneration treatments that she describes as injections of jalapeno juice.

lawn is mowed, veggies picked from the garden- hit my 10K steps, just need to do another 1/2 mile to hit 5 miles for the day. Pretty good for a day I was planning on not walking at all.

Was getting a little snacky-(not really hungry but wanted to eat something) so ate a big cucumber and a tomato that I just picked.
A bit too early for dinner for me. If I eat this early, I will for sure be snacking before bed time.
Dh is coming home at 8 from his mom's then going to work at 3AM- need to get to sleep before he does so I can sleep and not have to hear the snoring or I will be on the couch until he leaves.

    Do you use ear plugs?

We both need to and I find mine great for blocking out all sorts of noise. My husband can snore (with his head in the opposite corner from me in our sleeping room), Rhody can meow, kids can be dropped off by all the driving parents at the nearby school, and I hear nothing!

My eye mask also helps ... blocks any light that might disturb me.

I need to find better ear plugs- the ones I have are not good enough- barely block any sound out
    what kind do you have??

    I use these: https://www.bunnings.com.au/3m-disposable-ear-plugs-80-pairs_p0054518
    ycutl4pwcznf.png

A pair usually lasts me anywhere from 1 to 5 nights, then I toss them and start another.

So let's say a pair lasts 3 nights on average, the 80 pair bag lasts me 240 nights.

    My husband uses these:

I have the women's version: https://otifleks.com.au/ladybuds-earplugs.html but haven't figured them out yet.

A work colleague sent me a link to these ones. Her husband does shift work, so he needs to sleep during the day at times. Apparently these are the best he has found:

And I'm also thinking about sleep headphones (see Amazon link for several choices). I would definitely like to have one each for my husband and I for the next time we fly ... which could be some time yet.

I added noise cancelling to my selection and got these choices:

I will check some of those links- I have ones like yours and they don't block the sound out enough for me.
THANK YOU for all the suggestions

    Karen in Virginia

I did increase my cycling a little bit last summer, but the quantity of cycling has really dropped off through this winter.

I have struggled with ITB Syndrome when I was cycling massive quantities in my 30s and 40s ... lots of fiddling with bicycle fit finally got it sorted for the most part. But I never lost feeling in my lower legs.

Now my ITB feels the best it has in ages ... probably because I've hardly cycled in months.

However, it is one thing my physiotherapist is considering.

I woke up from my nap dreaming about peanut butter. Had to have some!

When I was on a mission to lose weight a few years ago, I'd dream about eating cake all the time. Fortunately, getting cake involved making cake, and I didn't have time for that.
