My name is Donna. I am 62 years old, 5' 5" tall. I live in the Midwest of USA. I am in remission for breast cancer, have Type 2 Diabetes, an under active thyroid, high blood pressure and cholesterol, some osteoporosis and coronary heart disease with a stent in my heart. I am working to get healthier. I know losing weight and exercising more will help all of these issues.

CHALLENGE STARTING WEIGHT (FROM July 31, 2021): 201.6
CHALLENGE TOTAL WEIGHT LOSS GOAL: Total Loss of 15 pounds to land at 186.6
    CHALLENGE ENDING WEIGHT:

Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!
    250’s; 240’s; 230’s; 220's; 210's; 200's; 190's; 180’s; 170's; 160's; 150’s

Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.

10/01-198.6-(Trend Weight: 198.8)- 198.6 ….hmmm….A much better temperature than a weight! Hoping for some continued progress but bigger this time! Not greed, just goal.

10/03-199.2-(Trend Weight: 198.8)- I’m not going to sabotage the progress I’ve made so far. I know it isn’t much, but it’s in the right direction and so desperately needed for my overall heart health and diabetes. Come on Donna! Who’s the boss here?

10/10-199.8-(Trend Weight: 199.5)- It’s been a bad week full of travel and cravings. They seem to go hand-in-hand.

10/17-200.6-(Trend Weight: 200.2)- I hope everyone will do their self breast check and schedule your mammogram. It saves lives and yours really matters! On the weight front, mine really went up due to much travel this past week, but I am making better choices when I’m on the road. Missing the movement and calorie burn though.

Saw an instagram video on 3 of the worst foods- two out of three were my favorites.
Doritos - tons of MSG !
    Quaker Oats- spray with herbicide.
Coffeemate coffee creamer has sugar water, rancid oils

My husband made a healthy soup tonight- we are going to try to eat soup (hearty soup) for dinner this winter. It's so soothing and feels cozy. It's cold here in the Midwest- perfect for soup and chilis.

@DianeLMK Congratulations on being so close to your goal!

@RubyRed427 I love making or eating soups or stews, especially during the winter. Tried out some new recipes recently and so far they have all been really good.
    https://www.skinnytaste.com/slow-cooker-beef-and-kabocha-squash-stew/ (I used butternut squash)
    https://www.skinnytaste.com/crockpot-turkey-white-bean-pumpkin/
https://www.skinnytaste.com/pasta-fagioli-64-pts/ (I added some italian turkey sausage to this one and used protein pasta to increase the protein)
