    Katla - I hope you're able to see your husband today. Thinking of you.

    Heather -     I realized this morning in my early fog that we hadn't heard from Kate UK in a while. Hope all is well!

    Rebecca - Most of my gallbladder story isn't useful, it's just more of that urge to tell pregnancy and delivery horror stories at a baby shower. The surgery, though, was easy-peasy. Laparascopic, with five tiny cuts no worse than paper cuts around my abdomen, and I was back on my feet and pain-free the next day--just a little sting from the tiny cuts and the usual headache from the anesthetic. No joke--I only took the week off work because I had sick days to use. At the time, I was running a fitness center. I've had four surgeries in my abdominal area, and that was the easiest recovery by a long, long way. My kidney stones, like Machka's, have all emerged on their own. Low back pain, a little bit of blood in the urine when they break free, as much liquid as I can get in me, and they make their way. All depends on their size, I think. They'll let you know. Last but not least - do NOT throw the food away or give it away. Every person is different as to what they can tolerate. Seriously. Wait until after the surgery, and introduce one food at a time. If it bothers you, then take it off your menu. Taking all the fat out of your diet is a good way to lose a chunk of your hair mass, and doesn't necessarily help your digestion afterward. We need fat.

    Not quite all of mine have emerged on their own. The first one I noticed did not - it was too big, got lodged, and had to be surgically removed. All the rest have been OK. :)

    Allie - I read that as "Miles has a hair appt this afternoon," and it made me blink! He's a cutie, I so appreciate it when you post pics of him, and the picture of Alfie was so cute, too! So glad you got the picture thing sorted out...

    Pouring with rain. It is supposed to clear by this afternoon when we walk over to babysit the kids for Parents Evening. On the way I need to pop in to the Mediterranean shop I bought my cardamom pods from yesterday. I didn’t have enough cash , so they said I could pay the 66p remaining today. :p They are actually from South Sudan and have every possible comestible in their shop, including homemade falafel mix, frozen artichoke hearts and za'atar, all of which I purchase. Plus it is all so cheap! None of the supermarkets had cardamom pods yesterday, even the mega Tesco.

    Displaying your gallstones, I think I will ask for mine, and my sister can paint/create magical shadow box thing! For college she was suppose to put an ordinary object in a setting unique or uncharacteristic for it. She took one of my wisdom teeth and put it in a fantastical ring setting with a padded box. My tooth was gorgeous! 😜. I can't wait to feel better and though I do appreciate the fuzzy warm sleep the pain meds bring, I haven't got plumbing to work since Monday. Granted Tues was a small container of Jello, and Wednesday was a serving of ensure, (a protein drink), and a turkey wrap. Hopefully my prune a day regiment, plus water will get things going today.

    After my gall bladder surgery, the surgeon said "eat anything you want". I pretty much can and do, though some folks have issues. Our bodies let us know.

    I passed my kidney stone quickly and it wasn't that big, just hurt like the dickens.

    Thanks for the nice words, I am hopeful to get a appointment soon to see specialist. Usually the Tricare referral nurses are fairly prompt. I am blessed with the sweet disposition of my eldest son. He wears a heart on his sleeve, and I covet our relationship. 💖
    I know with my husband, when he had his liver transplant, we received the after care appointment summary and it said his gallbladder was properly absent. I asked him when did you get your gallbladder out? He called his Mom and she couldn't recall him ever having surgery in his youth. We called the transplant nurse and she announced, " oh when they removed your liver, they remove the gallbladder as well". In none of the paperwork did they ever mention that! You'd think that would be a thing to tell a patient!😜😂😂🙄 We thought that was hysterical!😁
