4:30 pm and the first dose of antiviral! hoping this helps. the Doctor had a delivery service deliver it to my door. How cool is that.

Katla - thinking of you and DH

Lanette - sun and vit c I have and am doing... I have elderberry wine, but I'm thinking that's not probably the best choice LOL. I'm a bit weird but really don't like honey so there is none in the house...I usually have some as there are a couple of recipes I like that call for it. I realized how much food is in my home and how little of it is "quick" or pre-made. It is not how I cook so I don't have it... dug around for soup and the only thing is a can of cream of celery... gross. Again an ingredient. Lunch was a challenge everything would take time and thinking - and dinner will be the same.

Are you able to get some groceries delivered?

[Then on Wednesday, I am booked for 3 punch biopsies on areas which the specialist suspects are skin cancer (Basal cell carcinoma, most likely). The one that bothers me the most is my nose because the landscape of my nose will change. And since she suspects that's the worst one, there may be more treatment. The one on my hip is the largest one, so I don't know if she'll just do a punch biopsy or if she'll take the whole thing. Wait and see.

After that, I'm off and recovering the rest of the week.

I am going in on Nov. 15 for biopsies on my nose. Doing 4 spots on it. He doesn't think it is cancer but wants to be sure. I had it froze off twice , the last one 4 yrs ago. My doctor wanted to freeze it again but didn't have the stuff in office so sent me to dermatology. He said because it has come back, he wants to just be sure it is nothing. He said the same thing about changing the landscape of my nose if it is skin cancer.

    Debbie

I hope your procedure goes all right and that it's not skin cancer.

Mine has come back many times and is showing all the signs of being skin cancer ... the biopsy on Wednesday will determine how bad it is or how deep it is. I'm a little bit nervous.

I hope for both of us the landscape of our noses doesn't change too much.

DH will be having a procedure tomorrow. I will go there with our daughter. She will call me when she knows what time it will be scheduled. We will be there for him. I will be praying that all goes well. ❤️

Do you know what the procedure is?

Is he having a stent or pacemaker installed?

Cathy - Welcome aboard! Glad to have you! Congratulations on the weight loss - 20 lbs is fantastic.

Machka - I see some Patricia Cornwell books under your bed! I spent 2 months working with her in the medical examiner's office in Richmond, VA, before she wrote her first crime novel. Her protagonist was inspired by my supervisor at the time, Dr. Marcella Fierro, and her first crime novel was uncomfortably similar to the real life murder of one of the medical fellows at the medical college in Richmond. Later, I worked with the sister-in-law of the murdered fellow and she told me the family had not been happy at the thinly disguised details of the novel vs the real case. Patty, as we called her, had written some books about her friends the Rev Billy and Ruth Graham prior to writing her first best seller, and she knew lots of other interesting people, too. She and I had lunch together several times during those 2 months, and went on crime scene investigations with the ME. It was an exciting 2 months. Of course, at the time, I had no idea Patty would go on to become such a famous author. We did not keep in touch after my rotations through the ME's office were over, and I seriously doubt she would remember me now, but I will never forget her. Kay Scarpetta is a hybrid of Dr. Fierro and Patricia Cornwell in my opinion, with the knowledge & expertise of Dr. Fierro, and the physical attributes of Patricia Cornwell. I read many of her books before finally tiring of them as it seemed to me they were becoming formulaic.

    Very interesting!

I only just recently came across her books and have read a couple. There seems to be a story that travels through them all so that I feel like I should probably start at the beginning. I read an earlier one and a later one and felt like I missed something.

She has written a lot of books and now that I'm aware of them, I'm seeing them everywhere!

I read all the Patricia Cornwell books, until they went "off". :D

Three and a half hours sleep last night. I'm feeling very nervous this morning, but we are going to do our exercises and I'm sure it will improve. Hate this bit. But it's WORTH IT! :p
The ship is in dock on time.

Thanks, Machka will try your tips next time! Hoping the surgeon is a gifted nose landscape preservation artist.
Kay ((hugs)) whooshing loving energy your way.
Lisa that’s Mama and Papa when they moved to Napa. A friend visiting their new digs asked Papa, “Aren’t you going to carry her over the threshold?” As Papa was backing away from that suggestion, Mama tried to fireman’s carry Papa over. Gosh I miss them.
Debbie fingers Xd for favorable appointment.
Kim hope you can rest rest rest.
Welcome @iamimagine Cathy! Many of us here don’t do the friend thing but share and encourage on this thread. Come back often and let us get to know you!
Karen, whew, that’s a lot to do!
Rori  the Vday pic, and especially the vacation plans.
Rebecca (and Lisa) Joe loves beef noodle Hamburger Helper and always adds more noodles. It’s too salty and processed for my taste and he’d shoot me if I added sour cream ;)
Katla prayers continue for your DH, today’s procedure and that you may both soon be healthier and together.
Michele hope the toothache is totally gone. Sometimes a good flossing and brushing flushes out the culprit and eases the pain, way better than an extraction :naughty:
    Heather bon voyage!

Last day of holiday .. relaxing and reading.

Very windy but warm so I spent most of the afternoon in a sheltered nook outside with a book.

    Morning, afternoon and evening, all...

Usual Monday morning chores out in front of me... foggy day outside, and Corey did just a crazy amount of work yesterday, eight straight hours of hauling and burning brush. He just called me, and said he's so sore he can barely move... I hate it that he's having to support my part of the load still, but I'm working on getting enough energy back to help outside. Yesterday was more "Little Susie Homemaker" stuff. Making his lunch and taking it out to him, getting all the laundry done, etc. It allows me to sit down when I need to...

One load of laundry left, have to put all my pills together, and time to get some writing done. Bought a new cheese grater and grated a chunk of my index fingertip on my right hand last night, but it's starting to get a little less ouchy as I keep typing. I'm usually more careful with my hands, since they were how I made my living for so long!

Katla - I so hope your husband's procedure is successful and painfree. Thank you for letting us know. Keep us in your pocket, dear heart, we're there with you in spirit.

Heather - Thinking about you as you get close to embarkation... I can feel the excitement all the way to Arkansas!

Carol - Your grandkids look so much like you! What a perfect fall picture...

Bird pictures I've taken in Oregon and Texas...

I went Dutch Oven cooking for the weekend. Of course, they made every kind of cobbler you could think of in the Dutch ovens plus brownies and cakes. Yes, we did have been dishes. I made sausage, potatoes and spinach

But somehow when I weighed myself this morning, I lost a pound and a half, lol I’ll take it! Now I’m back on track.
