Margaret, I enjoyed The Road to Character. I also really emotionally connected to The Second Mountain. I discovered David Brooks when he was writing political commentary and found his columns refreshing. His writing reminds me of Stephen Covey’s… honest and thought provoking.

The movie "A Man Called Ove" is on Tubi, a free streaming channel with lots of great choices. I also read the book and liked it. After lunch today we drove to the post office to mail all the required documents to the accountant to have our taxes done. I could probably figure out how to do them myself but it is one of the few luxuries I buy for myself 🙂🌞🌻🎊

Well hallway bathroom is practically gutted. He will do the kitchen part of the water damage tomorrow. This was damage from a slow leak that made the ceiling kitchen paint bubble.

Allie - I hope you were able to get an appointment with your doc. We can all guess what you've got, but it's worth talking to the expert and making sure you get the right medications. Love you, chicken... take care of yourself.
Heather - I went back to look for your photo of the sea- so pleased that you live now where you can see that view anytime you choose.
Pain today, I'm blaming it on my very active weekend. Very active only in my terms, but I will get better. However, today wasn't that day. Five laundry loads finished and put away, and phone calls with those I love most. That and going to the little local grocery store for a few things. Right now, while Corey cooks dinner, I'm watching The Great British Baking Show. I've seen them all at least once, but they're very serene and relaxing for me.6 -

Being that the leak was reported back in June, and that toilet turned off, we haven't had the use of it since then. We could've made a real stink, not paying full rent, because we weren't getting our full 2.5 baths, but we're on month to month. There's a fine line from getting things done, and being a problematic renter.
I am glad! Hoping to get a more comfortable tub!

I ate 1052 calories today Yay! And I just did 30 mins yoga and 30 mins aerobic walking Yay! That ought to be enough calorie deficit to make up for Sunday's surplus.

Good Monday evening!
Well, I got my training done for Ariens/Gravely, but didn't touch tax stuffs this weekend-oops. Will have to get to on Wednesday night I reckon. I would take it to work, but no privacy there. I might try anyway. Will see what I can get done in the morning.
The new jeweler did a wonderful job on my rings! Much better than the job the expensive chain jeweler did the first time. I don't think this one is coming apart.
So put down your beverages.....
I went and saw the proctologist today. His office staff was wonderful. I was completely at ease. BP was 112/68 so you know I was comfortable. I am scheduled February 23rd for colonoscopy. Finally met the doctor and I thought to myself that he looked familiar. But I really am not good at faces (or names apparently). We spoke for a few minutes then he did his exam. All done and we were talking when he asks me if we are crazy busy at work or if it is a good time to bring in his mower. WHAT!!!!???!!! He bought his mower from me about three years ago!!!! Great?!?! My dentist is a customer. My eye doctor is a customer. And now my "butt" doctor is also a customer! I was like, well now this is awkward. He said he uses the upmost discretion in conversations
He has seen a part of me that most nobody has ever seen. He did make me more comfortable though. BTW...he also reminded me that clear liquids could include beer, scotch, whiskey.....LOL! I said I didn't think I could handle 64 oz of tequila. His comment was then I wouldn't need anesthesia!!!!!LOL!!!! He is pretty laid back, so I am sure I will be fine. My youngest daughter will be taking me. The first date available was a Tuesday, at first I said that would be fine as I have a massage Monday night, then went- OH NO- That won't work because I have a massage Monday night! So a Thursday afternoon it is.
Then tonight was massage. I mentioned to my masseuse that I was getting really tired of taking off and putting on the same clothes all day today! She said it was a little chilly to be running around in my birthday suit. Afterwards went to bank, Costco, gas station ($2.90 /gal!!! at 30 gallons that was awesome), then to just quickly run my truck through the automatic car wash. The automatic was closed-rrrr. I sprayed her down. I am sure she will look better, but she sure isn't going to be clean. They are calling for rain all week, so she will be okay. Had to get some of the salt off of her. Last load of clothes in the dryer.
I am heading to bed!
Ladies- I am glad you are there to advocate for your loved ones! It is a shame what society, medical, and insurance companies have done to the care of our seniors especially. Hugs and Prayers!

The plan for tomorrow is to do a body pump DVD
After work, bowled, then went to two pharmacies to pick up Loki’s meds to have when we go to FL and stopped at the Salvation Army (of course). Found a shirt that’s marked XL but it fits me. I think it was mistakenly marked and should be at least a M. An XL would never fit me

Jewelry _ Now I am so sad that I gave Diana the ring from my mother. I’m sure she just threw it in the garbage. And I lost the diamond ring from Vince’s mother at Denise’s wedding.
Lisa – I was listening to a podcast from “Eat This Not That” and they say to put plastic wrap around the tops of bananas to keep them from getting too ripe. Haven’t tried this yet
Bowling – I have to tell you all, a good bowler I am not. My handicap is in the triple digits. But I do get exercise – I exercise my jaw. But today I actually got a turkey (3 strikes in a row). That’s the second time ever that I got that. It’s funny, we were bowling against two really good bowlers. One has a 0 handicap and the other has an 18 handicap. But I got a turkey. I was so shocked, you have no idea.
Debbie – prayers that they find the truck
Lisa – I don’t like to watch baking shows. Makes me too frustrated when I know that I can’t decorate as well as they can. I don’t even come close!
