Dryers lint

We had this discussion at work about the lint in your dryer.
Do you take the lint out after each load is completed or do you take it out before each new load?

    Before a new load to dry, gotta check cause you never know if the people who used it before you cleaned it or not..

    Every load. After removing the dry clothes. Dryer works better if there isn't any lint in it.

    I live in an apt building with shared laundry rooms so I basically take the prior person's lint out before drying.

    Then totally don't think/forget to clean my own out :)

    Basically every single time I open the dryer door, that way I'm either removing the lint I generated or the lint from one of my teenagers who forgot to remove theirs after running a load.

    Lint restricts air flow and if you use a higher heat, can "burn" your clothes making them wear out faster and fade color. Also it will take longer to dry.

    When I went to visit my family in one of your hot & dry places, I hung some clothes out on the line and by the time I got to the end, the things at the beginning were dry. And that was in the shade!

    Right before each new load. Doesn't really matter since I'm the only one using the dryer anyway.

    I just check it when I start a load. I do my own laundry and my wife does hers and the boys (though my oldest will start doing his own next month when he turns 13). Most often my wife will have already emptied it but sometimes not.

    really stinks when you have eet laundry on the line and a dust storm blows through, or some thorns are blown into your underwear.

    25 years in az and both happened more than once
