Hi! It's Dee, I started this thread in May 2020 and once I reached my goal a year or so ago I stopped posting my food and exercise. I was happy to see this thread still going! This year, well since Thanksgiving, my normal cutting back to lose weight is not working so I'm back here posting food & exercise until I lose 8 lbs! :) So... my FB workout today was https://youtube.com/watch?v=U2DPEg91bAc&si=EnSIkaIECMiOmarE

Welcome Back Dee!! Happy to see you here. I was actually worried about you. I thought something had happened.

Awwww, thank you! That's so sweet of you! It's just a time-consuming thing to add your food in everyday and once you reach your desired weight it was one thing I could cross off my daily to-do list. I do have a small group of woman to be accountable to with my workouts that keeps me motivated! But it's so fun to be back and see all you ladies and your posts!!! I'm sorry you worried about me and I promise to be more polite when I reach my goal and let you know when I sign off again! :)

I don't use the My Fitness Pal App. I only come here because I enjoy this fitness forum. I love Fitness Forums! I don't track my food. So glad you are back!!

And at age 59 my balance is not what it used to be so I tried this one and found some of the exercises really hard to balance!

meb2490 Hello! What is your weekly routine?

I get bored easily so I need variety with my workouts and the trainers which is why I started this thread to get new FB wo ideas!

    I work out M-F, for 40 min.

    Here's my routine:
    Day 1 Upper Body w/weights & stretch/yoga
    Day 2 Cardio w/ 3lb light weights & stretch/yoga
    Day 3 Total Body w/weights & stretch/yoga
    Day 4 Pilates & Yoga
    Day 5 Lower body w/weights & stretch/yoga
    Day 6 Cardio walk & stretch/yoga
    Day 7 Total Body w/weights & stretch/yoga
Day 8 Something Different! And stretch/yoga

I do 8 days so each Mon/week is different.
And I've added in 10-20 min of stretch/yoga after each workout because I'm getting older and many say it's The Fountain of Youth! :)

For me, pilates is most always harder than it looks and this one had its hard parts for me, I don't love pilates day but I think its good for me 🙂

This is my favorite yoga lady and she has 100's of workouts but I choose one a bit too advanced for me - not ready for splits! lol

Oh Dee you are way more regimented than me! LOL
I wish I had a set routine. Before the pandemic I went to the gym 5 days a week. I took step, strength, bootcamp and kickboxing classes. I loved it. The gym is now reopen will a full group exercised schedule. However most of the classes are Zumba so I canceled my membership.
Now I just try to workout everyday on my own. Lots of youtube and lots of walking. In the Summer I play tennis everyday.

I'm 61 years old and I love being active. I will never stop!

Awww, good for you!!! We are 2 years apart and I'm so proud of us!!! Hardly any people my age (family & friends) workout! I feel it is so important for older men and women! I don't talk about it with them unless they ask so I have my little workout group and now here with you to help keep me motivated and inspired! High Five to you!!! :)

What kind of diet do you follow?

    I'm an 80/20 girl -
I eat non gmo, organic food 80% of the time. Mostly fruits and veggies, chicken and fish. Sometimes pork but rarely beef.
I also watch my portion sizes.
The other 20% is for parties, vacations, eating at family or friend's house or out to a restaurant and some foods that are not so healthy that we have at home (salad dressings mostly).
But the holidays this year got the best of me and I need to lose around 6-8 lbs!
