    Loving all the children and grandchildren stuff. Evie , that was some long day!

    Had a chat with my butcher and he is going to see if his wholesalers stock guanciale and pecorino. Worth a try. Bought pork pie, Scotch eggs, and game mix for a stew.
    I popped into the off licence next to the newer grocer (which I haven't been into for years!) And was surprised to find the grocer in there. I had no idea they owned it! It burned down a few years ago and was closed for ages. I bought our favourite Breton cider.
    The deli yeilded more delights, including smoked chicken breast for sandwiches.

    Just about to poach the smoked haddock and boil a couple of eggs.

    Then rowing! :D

    1. Set an intention to live with awareness and kindness. I intend to live with more awareness and kindness every day.
    2. Notice three things you find beautiful in the outside world. The blue water of Lea Lake, Snow on the mountains at a distance, walking a nature trail. All at Bottomless Lakes State Park.
    3. Start today by appreciating your body and that you are alive. I am healthy and above ground. I can walk,talk,hear, see, taste, and smell (mostly). I appreciate that I alive and have a healthy body.
    4. Notice how you speak to yourself and choose to use kind words. I will try…
    5. Bring to mind people you care about and send love to them. I sent texts to my long distance friends to send them love.
    6. Have a ‘no plans’ day and notice how that feels. Most days are like that for me. So much less stress!
    7. Take three calm breaths at regular intervals during your day. Sounds like a plan.
    8. Eat mindfully. Appreciate the taste, texture and smell of your food. Started at breakfast.
    9. Take a full breath in and out before you reply to others. I will need to keep this in the front of my mind all day.
    10. Get outside and notice how the weather feels on your face. Every day!
    11. Stay fully present while drinking your cup of tea or coffee. In the process of doing that right now!
    12. Listen deeply to someone and really hear what they are saying. I will have to really try to get this done today.
    13. Pause to watch the sky or clouds for a few minutes today. I love doing this!
    14. Find ways to enjoy any chores or tasks that you do. I made a necessary task to go for a liver scan enjoyable by buying lunch for myself for a change.
    15. Stop. Breathe. Notice. Repeat regularly. I really need to do this today! Didn’t remember to do this.
    16. Get really absorbed with an interesting or creative activity. I have stones to paint. Will be distributing along the trails in exchange for free peddle boat and paddle board rentals. Didn’t do this. Too windy out. I colored instead.
    17. Look around and spot three thing you find unusual or pleasant. Will do. 1. Lady wanting us to cut a lock off of her propane tank. 2. The rock formations around the park. 3. The lake surface when wind blows over it.
    18. If you find yourself rushing, make an effort to slow down. I will consciously try to do this. I completed this!
    19. Appreciate nature around you wherever you are. Easy here. I do it every day! Appreciation list in spoiler

    Scary how they grow up, huh Kylia! She is beautiful. I hope she had a great time. Kolten will be 13 in a couple weeks too. smh.

    I'm so sorry Terri. As you say, Carpe diem. Good luck with Jack. I'm sure he'll enjoy his time with Grandma. lol

Stays green all winter and is full of buds again this spring! That bucket I have mums from last fall planted in which have grown new leaves, oregano, which has leaves but doesn’t look too healthy, and some parsley that made it through the winter!

    In two weeks, I buy 3 tomato plants, 1 pepper plant, and Italian herbs for a mix, also more parsley. When that is all planted, I’ll take pictures. By then the carnations should be blooming. I’ll take a pic of the lettuce later today.

    I look forward to seeing your pictures. Carnations are one of my favorites but only the old fashioned ones that smell amazing. I have one plant but have seeds to plant more.
    I will be ordering a little greenhouse tomorrow- trying to decide which one I want. Wish I had more room. The two I am looking at are both the same price but one is twice as big. Will keep looking for a better price on the smaller one.
    I usually just plant my stuff in mom's greenhouse but that has been a huge disappointment the past few years so just decided to take my birthday money and buy one to have here. I will still get plants from her if they do well. Planning on going up next weekend and if she is ready to plant, I will help her.
    All my garden is in pots or two raised beds that mom and dad built for me for my birthday years ago.

    love all the talk and pictures of grandkids- None in the near future for me. Son will turn 25 tomorrow, has a girlfriend but no where near ready for anything more than that. Still lives at home which I am totally fine with. Works full time and has a great group of friends that he has had since elementary school. A few are in the Navy and others have moved away but they still stay in touch, online with the ones far away and in person with the ones still here.

    Have a ladies luncheon with the ladies from church. They used to have them once a month but now about every 3 months. I missed the last one which was right before Christmas- really wanted to go to that one but it was two days after my reconstruction surgery from the melanoma. They asked us to bring desserts this time(usually a potluck). I made a blackberry cobbler, using up berries from the freezer and mini cinnamon muffins with struessel on top. Used applesauce instead of eggs in the muffins and they are a bit sweeter than I would like but great to see the substitute works and with eggs going for at least $6-7 a dozen, I will use the applesauce I got free when I helped at the food program. I will pick up eggs next weekend when I go up to see mom(at least that is the plan as of now)
    Need to pull more things out of the freezers and get them cleaned out- too full and most needs to be jut dumped if no one is going to eat it so I have room for what I do want. One thing I pulled yesterday was another corned beef. Cooked two this last time and none got froze for quick meals for me.

    Tonight I need to bake some brownies for my son. I asked him if he wanted brownies or chocolate cake- he said neither. Told him I was going to do one or the other so he picked brownies. He doesn't like a big deal made of his birthday. Never has. He lucked out in school, he was always on spring break for his birthday or it was on the weekend.
