Just as a note. I do have the November template ready. I just have to remember to post it in the next couple of days. I did not want to do it too early.5

@martaindale - did the doctor check your hormone levels also? Glad all the blood work was good.
No she didn't and I didn't ask for it. Hormone levels fluctuate depending on your cycle and even the time of day so spot testing hormones isn't done as much anymore. Current practice is treating perimenopause based on symptoms because the symptoms indicate a change from the level that is normal for you.
@quilteryoyo We briefly talked about long COVID. Not much to do but rule other things out so wasn't much of a conversation.4 -
@quilteryoyo So happy for you with your weight loss. All the weight lifting is doing you good!
Pretty shoes @AlphaHowls!2 -

Forgot to log Sunday's run. Easy miles. Felt good.
I was supposed to run today as well but didn't finish work until 8 pm. That's too late for me. I'll be in bed in an hour. So I'll reschedule it to tomorrow. I'm on call this week so my schedule is more unpredictable than usual.4 -

Today I ran 3.12 miles. I took it pretty easy, but it was windy. It hasn't been that windy lately. I hope it won't be windy on race day. Otherwise it was a nice run.
Congratulations on your weight-loss @quilteryoyo!

Gosh some good stuff going on here. It's been warm again. Very dry but supposed to change tomorrow. we shall see.
Well done on the weight loss @quilteryoyo 👏👏👏
@martaindale glad the dr did not find any smoking gun, but also not glad I guess. 🙃🙃
@kgirlhart I hope you have a COOL race day and not windy. I predict a really great PB for you
@tarun_yadavA your carnage is always impressive. I can't believe you can even MOVE much less run after some of that. Hope the wedding was fun tho and it lasts this time for your friend.
@AlphaHowls thanks for setting up Nov. Hope that things with your mom are resolving for some HELP for you. I don't think it actually gets better in situations like this. 🥲🙂 and FUN new shoe porn.
I need to kick myself in the butt to get going again. I will probably have some lazy mornings to do that as it appears all of a sudden our HR has decided we HAVE to consume all our PTO this year down to 40 hrs max or we no longer accrue next year. That means a couple weeks for me and HELLO its already going to be Nov with holidays. The entire factory is pretty much in that position. Kind of a strange thing to ask. usually they give you a year to meet a new level like that. Must be some greed going on. Basically they would be stealing 2 days of vacation a month from me if I don't get the level down. corporations. 🤷♀️😳🤷♀️

Thanks @AlphaHowls .
Thanks @martaindale I hope they can figure out what is going on with you and get it fixed! I'm with you - no 8 pm running. If I did, I wouldn't be able to go to sleep for hours. I hope today's run goes well.
Thanks @kgirlhart . Nice easy run. Is your race this weekend?
Thanks @SummerSkier ! It sounds like your business wasn't thinking past their nose. If everyone is in that situation, how are they going to have enough people to function the next two months? On the bright side, you will get to sleep in some days and get out for your runs a bit later...which is a win in my book! LOL

@quilteryoyo congrats on the size loss! Yea muscle weighs more than fats.
Iron doesn't help. I have Thalessemia which is a genetic condition that tends to produce weirdly tiny shaped blood cells, which means they can't carry as much oxygen as normal. So I'm constantly struggling just to keep up in a run. Never been able to get out of the bottom 25th percentile of runners. Will never win a race 🙄 Oh well. I can only do my best 😁5 -

Pushed the pace a little this morning. Still only 11:00/min mile but faster than normal for me. One of my friends was venting about work and I was trying to keep up with her! After a while she said it was my turn to talk. I told her that I wish I could. I was just trying to breathe.
Glad you survived your boy’s trip to Copenhaven @tarun_yadavA! I bet the BBQ place was good. Very impressive that you kept up your running streak with all the fun, drinking and eating indulgences.
That is a breathtaking view @WarmJellyfish!
Look at you PR’ing those gym workouts @quilteryoyo! Congratulations on the weight loss and all the NSVs too.
It is pretty late in the year to change a vacation policy like that @SummerSkier. When I first started work at my company we could carry over 3 days of vacation. Now it is take it or loose it for those in B&T. The plant workers can still carry over 3 days I believe. I make it a point to take every single day every year!

Thanks @WarmJellyfish . Sounds like with your condition that you are doing great to get out there and keep going! Give yourself credit where credit is due. You are probably in the top 90-100% of people who have Thalassemia .
Thanks @Teresa502 ! Great speedier run this morning. I snickered when I read: "After a while she said it was my turn to talk. I told her that I wish I could. I was just trying to breathe." That would be me too!
Congratulations on getting back into your sweet spot @yirara !3 -

81.50/80 mile goal
Mom and I were running errands today, so I only had time for a short treadmill workout this morning. I did run a bit faster and did the mile running 2 min each at 4.5-5.1 mph, no walking. Took 12:38 min. Avg HR was 124 with a max of 134 bpm.4 -
Great job on your goals and weight loss @quilteryoyo! Very happy for you.
Got less than 4 hours sleep last night, in non-consecutive 1 hour increments. So could not get up and run this morning. Did 6 TM miles after work.

Morning all
Behind on the posting and comments here.
@quilteryoyo well done on the weight loss
@SummerSkier thank you... He didn't get married. Yet. This was the guys weekend bachelor party. Married next month in NC.
@Teresa502 really enjoyed Copenhagen. Have you been here before? Cruise stop?
We had lunch at two really really nice places. Marchal which has a Star. And another called the Pescaterian (no star, but has a 4.7 on Google).
Dinner - well, whatever was open at 1 am type joints6 -
If anyone wants food p0rn picsMarchal at D'Angleterre
French-Scandi fusion cuisine with a focus on Scandi ingredients
Had the bottoni pasta with Gruyere and truffle.
Had the venison and foie gras
Had a cheese board - which was delightful.
Accompanied by a French red.
The Pescatarian.
Had the Squid-Bakskuld (pass?! 🤷🏽). Was heavenly like a foamy creamy chowder with bits of smoked salmon 'bacon' in it.
Had the pan fried Hake with this sort of creamy cheese cauli sauce and root veggies.
Both were dee-lish and of course I had cheese.
And quirky - sourdough bread. 83 year old starter. Pre world war2 !
Oh, and the funniest thing... My friend was so hungover. He tipped our (stunningly beautiful I have to say) server... 47 cents!
Forgot to add the two zeroes. So that's gonna be a recurring joke till he dies now.
What else?
Copenhagen famous for it's bakeries (Danishes - I guess. Duhhh!)
Hit up one that was recommended by a local.
Buka. There are a few of these. Saw queue out of the door so figured it had to be good (decent Google 4.5 score too)
Went pistachio croissant; some Nordic berries croissant (sour and cuts through the creme) and a cardamom bun (popular there. I was so-so on it)
I wish I had better photos of landmarks. I think the best photos are to be found on my Strava from run-sees which you've already seen.
Rest are pics like this... 44 year old Dad dancing.
And the inevitable 2am/3am passed out in a dove bar photo9 -
Afternoon all.
Got in 7.49 miles at 09"37 pace.
Saw this article on Long COVID in the Guardian just now

Thanks @Scott6255 . Sorry about your sleep. You did good getting in 6 miles after work.
Thanks @tarun_yadavA . That's some fancy food. Sounds like you are very adventurous when it comes to eating. I wish I was, but I tend to stick with things I know. Boooring old lady, I guess. Looks like a very fun trip and more impressed that you got up and did run-sees after passing out at 3 am! BTW, I think your friend so go back and tip the waitress what he intended to tip her. Poor thing.4 -
Rest day for me today.
I hope you slept better last night @Scott6255.
Love all the food and fun time photos @tarun_yadavA! Of course the bakery treats are my favorites. I've never been to Copenhagen...yet! I have Austria on my radar for next year. Have you been there?4 -
@tarun_yadavA good deal on all that food!1

Thanks @AlphaHowls for setting up November, even though I don't know we got there so fast.

83.00/80 mile goal
I miscalculated my timeline today, so didn't have time to go to the gym.
After I got home from the doctor (physical) and some errands, I spent most of the afternoon cleaning out the garage. This was a priority because the last couple of mornings, I have had overturned buckets and things out of place. This morning, something had clawed at the insulation on my garage door. I did find the little critter (a half grown Opossum) and relocated it, hopefully far enough away that it won't return.
Mess I found this morning
It was sleeping on my potting soil.
Got it into a trashcan fairly easily.
Where it was released.
By the time I got all of that done, I didn't feel like running, so did a driveway walk.

Got done with work at a reasonable time so I made up my run from earlier this week. Went pretty well despite it being warm. Hopefully I'll finish early enough to run again tomorrow.
This morning I went for a walk before work. It was nice to get outside for a bit and by walking I avoided getting sweaty. I showered after my run tonight so I may try the same thing tomorrow morning. It's nice to know I got something done in the morning in case an evening run isn't possible.3 -

I am posting two runs again. Yesterday I ran 5 miles. So not super short, but cutting back a little. It was windy again and kind of warm. Kind of uneventful. I did smell a skunk a couple of times, but I think only one time it was an actual skunk.
Today I ran 3 miles at HM pace with a half mile warm up and cool down, so 4 miles. I managed the pace, but it was windy and it felt pretty difficult. I am hoping it won't be windy like that on race day.
@quilteryoyo That possum is really cute, but I wouldn't want him in my garage either. My race is on November 9th. I am glad it's not this weekend. One of my nephew's is getting married. Isn't your race coming up soon?

Morning all.
Got in 7.56M at 09"26 pace.
@quilteryoyo yikes RE that possum!
@ContraryMaryMary sorry about your back 😢

@AmunahSki Are you trying to say you ignored Garmin yesterday? I'm glad you had a fun run. Great running for the month.
Great running @kgirlhart . I do hope it isn't windy on your race day and that you enjoy your nephew's wedding. My race is coming up, but not until Dec 14th.
Nice run @tarun_yadavA . Great mileage for the month/year. That's a lot of running between now and Dec 19th, but I have no doubt if you put you mind to it that you can do it.
