@theslightedgeforever Welcome back! Good job on the exercise despite the bad foot. @trooworld I’m glad you had a good time with your bff. Going out for Halloween sounds like fun. @cbabie Sorry about the mood swings. Yum for cheesecake! Hi, all. It's warm here again. I went for a walk and rode the bike. DS is making nachos for family dinner.

@cbabie I'm sorry about your day. Big hugs. Thanks, it's been a fun weekend. I have definitely gotten my steps in!

@fabgeekmom Yes, it was very fun thanks. Enjoy the weather! Nachos are fun.

Hi all. I had fun yesterday although we "only" stayed out until 12:30 am. The book fair was busy and fun. They had a lot of good deals on books but I passed them up because I have so many books at home. I did get a charm for my Kindle, it goes in the USB port when it's not charging. We went to a perfume store and got some new perfumes at a good price. We went for coffee. At night, we got dressed up and went out and about. It was fun. Here are a few pics.

@trooworld I loved the pictures. I could see that you had a good time. Hi, all. I went swimming today as I won’t be able to go on Monday and Tuesday due to DH’s doctors’ appointments. I made some roasted red pepper and tomato soup for lunches. It was easy and used canned tomatoes and red peppers. DD came over and put some food in the slow cooker for dinner. She’s making chicken breasts with stuffing and cream of chicken soup. It’s a skinnyishdish.com recipe. She has made it before and it’s good.

@fabgeekmom The soup sounds really good. It's cold here now and soup sounds really good.

@trooworld Loved the Halloween pics. Since I'm so far behind, what's new about your surgery? Did you have good results on the Holter monitor you had to wear?

@cbabie Sorry you were feeling blue.

We drove to Iowa today and back. I did a 17 min walk around the university all my kids went to. We reminisced and took pics.

I went over on my calories though. But tracked it all.

Morning all, today should be cooler weather Yea!! Should be able to go outside more now. I am not sure what we will have for dinner today, but I believe it will be chicken something. LOL

@trooworld Love the costume. Looks like you had fun. I didn't know they made charms for the kindles...I like the statement...let me read in peace. what kind of perfumes do you like. I don't wear them much anymore. I used to me known for my Mary Kay Anglefire, they don't make anymore. My mom was known for Estee Lauder..LOL

@fabgeekmom Don't you just love recipes that are easy peasy and taste good? I do..

@theslightedgeforever I bet you had fun on the campus. Life's little things..LOL

@theslightedgeforever That sounded like a fun trip. Years ago I went to the university I graduated from and it was nostalgic. @cbabie I’m glad you’re having cooler weather. Hi, all. I rode my bike this morning. DH had an eye appointment so I spent a few hours in the waiting room, reading. Dinner was turkey sausage with onions, celery and mushrooms and a little cheese on top. Plus roasted delicata squash and Israeli couscous.

@cbabie Could you jump up and down with straight legs on the mini-trampoline? You wouldn't have to bend your leg. I didn't know about the kindle charms either. I told my daughter and she just laughed and said I know you're going to get one. We'll see if I find one I really like. Funny about the perfumes. I have a lot of Estee Lauder products I wear just not that stinky youth dew. Funny thing happened just now, I was looking at their site to get the exact name of what I wear and I noticed one just got added to my cart. Must have been the ghost of mom. I like Beautiful, Beautiful Magnolia, plus two Lancome products: La Vie Est Belle and Idole

@fabgeekmom Glad you enjoyed a bike ride. Your meals sound healthy. I would love to be sitting in a waiting room reading. lol

My foot still hurts but it's getting better. I got in 55 min of exercise at the gym. Stayed within my calories.

@fabgeekmom Thank you, I did. The soup sounds good, good job with the swim. Dinner sounds good.

@theslightedgeforever Thanks. My surgery: they submitted the paperwork to insurance. I should have a firm date in about two weeks, but the surgery should be either December 17th or December 20th. My heart is fine, no problems. My sleep study came back that my sleep apnea has progressed to the moderate stage and they suggest that I get a CPAP. I am going to ask my doctor what her advice is since I am having surgery soon. I don't want to get it and then not need it after I lose weight. Sounds like a nice walk, good job. Excellent job tracking. I'm sorry your foot still hurts. Wow, 55 mins is a good amount!

@cbabie Yay for cooler weather! Thank you. I did have fun! I didn't know they made them either, but I saw it and had to have it! Lol I mostly get these perfumes from a brand called Lattafa, they are from the Middle East and are really yummy smelling and inexpensive (but smell expensive and last long!). But I also like Mon Guerlain by Guerlain a lot. I have always worn perfume, going back to the 80s I liked Poison, CK by Calvin Klein, even when I was a teenager, Love's Baby Soft, remember that??? LOL

Hi all. This will be quick: I have to work early today. I am doing okay but had a migraine yesterday and it is lingering. I have to be a panelist on a Zoom call event today and I'm a bit nervous. I have to talk about our library. I am sure it will be fine but I hate public speaking.

Morning all, well I guess you could say I had a win, I didn't eat the nutter bar I wanted to last night. 350 calories I saved myself...LOL. I walked up and down my street yesterday until my knee hurt too bad. Gotta start somewhere.

@trooworld LOL Loves' Baby Soft was my perfume I used in HS and when I first got married...I loved that stuff....I can still smell it. Oh yes and poison...not one of mine, but I had 2 daughters in the 80s that were teens. :). I think it's good to ask your DR before buying a CPAP machine. I bet you will do great on zoom today. You know the content well. I miss my days of leading, I find myself saying negative things to myself until I remember I used to be a leader and not just a home person. LOL

@fabgeekmom I think you and my sister have same food group taste. LOL. I am not much of sausage or celery mushrooms.. LOL. Glad you could sit and read. I wish sometimes I had to sit in the waiting room so I could read longer. LOL

@theslightedgeforever good job on the 55 min...Hope that foot heals soon, my knee is getting better slowly. Mornings are still real rough. I laughed OUTLOUD on the Estee Lauder comments. We always knew what to get her for her birthday..LOL Funny you wear Estee Lauder...I stay away entirely from it.

@trooworld Sorry about the migraine. I hope your zoom meeting went well. @cbabie Good job on resisting the nutty bar. And the walk. @theslightestedgeforever I’m glad your foot is better and you were able to exercise. Hi, all. DH got good news today. He can put pressure on the foot. He’ll wear the boot for 3 weeks then a brace. So he’ll start walking. I went for a walk after lunch and it was nice outside. Tonight DS is grilling chicken breasts and preparing collards and wild rice.

@cbabie That IS a win! And good job with the walk. I can still smell Loves Baby Soft as well, lol. I talked to my doctor and she wants me to get the CPAP so I told the pulmonologist that I wanted to do it. Thanks, I appreciate that! You should not say negative things about yourself, you are a leader of your kids and maybe your family? You lead yourself as well!

@fabgeekmom Thank you! That is good news for your DH. Good job with the walk.

Hi all. I did well with the Zoom meeting. There were about 50-75 people in the meeting. I'm glad to have that behind me! I got my surgery date: Friday, December 20th. I have a lot to do before then, I need to make a lot of broths for my 10-day pre-surgery all-liquid diet as well as after-the-surgery diet. I have to do a deep cleaning of the house.

@trooworld That’s great that you have your surgery date. And good that you have time to get prepared. Hi, all. Today was a swim day. DH had PT today and is walking with the walker instead of the scooter. Dinner was leftovers from last night.

@trooworld Everything for your surgery sounds like it's on track for you. Hope the migraine is better. Too bad they couldn't have pushed the surgery into the new year and not during the holidays.

@cbabie Good on you for the NSV. Plus the walk. Have you tried wrapping or taping your knee? Taping my foot has helped me exercise. It still hurts today so today I chose to not move. lol You can learn to change your food preferences.

@fabgeekmom Weather here can't decide if it's winter or summer. Yesterday was 79 and this It week will be in the 30's. Yaay for your walk. It rained today and tomorrow looks more of the same. But I'm not out walking yet as I'm trying to do 15 min at a time and then pause a bit and then do 15 more later. Sounds like your hubby is starting the healing path. I take my mobility so much for granted until I suddenly have a hard time walking.

Exercise has been good this week but I need a bit more intensity. I lowered my speed to 3.0 so I don't injure my foot too much.

@fabgeekmom Yes! And yes. Good job with the swim. That's good your DH is progressing.

@theslightedgeforever It is on track. Unfortunately, I woke up with a huge migraine today. Yeah that would have been nice but oh well, I'll take it! Sounds like a catch-22, you want to have more intensity so it's more effective but you don't want to make your foot worse.

Hi all. Happy Halloween! I woke up with a terrible migraine. I usually get nauseous from the medication I take but not the migraine but today, I am nauseous from the migraine. I took some meds and hopefully, it works but it WILL make the nausea worse. I am going to go to work with the hope that it goes away.

@trooworld Sorry about the migraine. Hi, all. Another nice day so I went for a walk. Our hairdresser came to our house and cut mine and DH’s hair. I feel like we are friends as we always have a nice chat. I’m going grocery shopping as I need vegetables for tonight and tomorrow night. I ate up all the soup I made. I may make some butternut squash soup. Tonight’s dinner is salmon and polenta (the tube kind).

@trooworld Eventually I'll get my intensity back. I hope. Did your nausea go away?

@fabgeekmom Your soup sounds good. Today's wind chill factor was 21. Brrrr! I'll be making some soup tomorrow. Nice that your hairdresser makes house visits. Me and my hairdresser
seems like friends too. It's like talking to a bartender I told her. lol

Today I went to the gym but I cut it short. My applewatch was about to die. I wanted credit for all I did. lol But I went which was the important thing. 34 min treadmill 16 min of strength training
    Food was within boundaries.

@fabgeekmom Thank you. Good job with the walk. Butternut squash soup sounds like a nice fall meal.

@theslightedgeforever Yes you will! I felt sick all day. I could be GETTING sick or it could be the migraine. I was around someone on Monday that tested positive for COVID on Wednesday, so I worry about that. By the end of the day, my migraine started to come back a bit. I feel better today, I think, but I just woke up. I don't blame you, I would want credit for that work, too! Good job with the food.

Hi all. I didn't wear a costume to work (even though I planned on it) because I felt sick, I wore a Wicked-themed top with Halloween earrings instead. I stayed all day at work. Actually, I left 15 mins early but that was because there was a fire down in the area where I live and I knew the traffic would be bad so the earlier I left, the better. It took me 2 1/2 hours to get home! It normally takes 1 hr 20 mins to 1 hr 40 mins.

@theslightedgeforever That’s true and funny about a hairdresser being like a bartender. Good job on the exercise. I don’t blame you for wanting credit. I’m a slave to my Apple Watch. @trooworld Wow, that was a long trip home. It’s good that you were able to stay at work the whole day. Hi, all. Today was a swim day. The water was warm and the pool deck was also warm. The center is having HVAC problems but so far the pool hasn’t been affected. Tonight was steak night. Everything was so good.

@trooworld I hope you don't get covid. I need to get my booster when I return home.

@fabgeekmom Yaaay for warm water to swim in. The steak sounds so good.

I stayed within calories and did a 35 min walk on the treadmill. I lost 0.2 lbs this week so the one thing I will change for this week will be to lower my calorie goal by 100. I know I'm not doing as much intensity on the treadmill as I normally do because I lowered my walking speed to 3.0 because of my foot. I was over calories twice this week but I tracked everyday. So onto this next week. Last week at my daughter's house.

@fabgeekmom Yes, it was awful! That's good the deck and the pool were warm, it makes it much more pleasant. I'm glad dinner was good.

@theslightedgeforever I hope not, either. Right now, I just have a cough but it could be because things are really dry here now. I did get my booster, so hopefully, if I do get it, it will be fast. Good job with cals and your walk! And a loss, you are rocking it. And tracking, wow, great!

    @cbabie How are you doing?

Hi all. I'm very excited for today: after I get groceries, I am going to go to an event with my photography club (I have only been to two events in 5 years). We are meeting at a Dia de los Muertos festival to take photos. If you don't know what that is, it's a holiday in the Mexican culture to remember the dead. Here is more info: https://www.history.com/topics/halloween/day-of-the-dead It's a day of celebration, not sorrow. It's colorful and very interesting.

@theslightedgeforever Good job on the exercise. The weight loss, although small, was good especially since you are not at home. @trooworld I have heard of The Day of the Dead. I watched Coco a few years ago. That may not be a realistic explanation of the holiday but it’s an introduction. The festival sounds like fun. Hi, all. I had a nice, cool and brisk walk this morning. We are getting temperatures in the 60’s. We ate out at a nearby Italian restaurant. It was the first time since DH broke his ankle that we went out to eat. It was nice. I ordered my usual half portion of manicotti.

@fabgeekmom Oh yeah, I forgot that was in there. Yes. It was. That's good the weather felt nice. I'm glad your DH was feeling good enough to go out to eat.

Hi all. The festival was nice, it was just getting started when we got there so there wasn't a lot going on but we walked around and took some pics. My friend and I got lost from the photography club and couldn't find them so we went on our own shooting. We got hungry so stopped to eat. Then it was time for me to leave, I had a Spanish lesson to get to. Here are a few pics from the festival. The orange flowers are marigolds and are very iconic of Dia de los Muertos.

@trooworld The pictures were really nice. I’m glad you had a good time. Hi, all. I went for a walk this morning and it was really nice outside. DS got some egg drop soup from a local Chinese restaurant for lunch. It was good with a sandwich. I spent most of the afternoon relaxing. We ate dinner at my cousin’s house. I limited my portions and resisted a second cookie. My cousin gave us leftovers so all I have to do for dinner tomorrow is fix a vegetable.

Morning all, it's cold here and baby girl has been sick since Friday...fevers, etc. Praying the baby doesn't get it...I am so over sickness. I haven't binged or eaten a lot of snacks, just trying to be mindful and working towards a goal of dinner and done..LOL. I have my first PT session this afternoon..

@fabgeekmom So glad DH is moving along in his recovery. Broken bones are no fun. Sounds like you are faring well and keeping your movement going. Great job

@trooworld So glad you have your date now..and time to prepare. That always makes the recovery better. Your pictures are clear and colorful..LOL. Great job, glad you had a good time. I don't know how you do that drive every day...I used to complain about the 50 min drive I had..LOL

@theslightedgeforever I am sorry your foot is still acting up. No I can't wrap it..it seems to hurt worse when I do. I am amazed at your persistence in moving.. Great job...

@trooworld Loved the Day of the Dead photos. I hope you got in a lot of movement there.

@fabgeekmom. Yaay on resisting the cookie. I am like you. I was introduced to it via Coco. I loved that movie. Such a great message.

@cbabie Sorry sickness has visited your house again. I have no choice on persistence of moving. If I do nothing I will just get bigger and bigger. Although I did sit for two days while it was rainy cold and yucky out. I did some good stretches of my hip flexors because the left one is bothering me now when I walk. I'll keep working on those.

I've tracked everyday. I went over calories yesterday.

@trooworld I’m glad you had good weather to do errands. Getting coffee is always good. @theslightedgeforever I’m like you. I have to keep moving. As for going over calories, at least you are tracking. Hi, all. Today was a swim day. I have gotten used to the water temperature. DH had PT and is doing more things. Dinner was good. I also cooked some Swiss chard.

@cbabie That's too bad baby girl is sick. :( Sounds like you are doing pretty well. I hope the PT session went well. I'm glad I have my date now, too. I'm trying not to chicken out lol. I'm so nervous. I'm afraid to be in pain. Thank you, I had fun shooting those photos. You know, I love my job and that's the only way I do it lol.

@theslightedgeforever Thank you! I did get movement in but it was slow walking so??? Good job tracking! I have to track in another app for my surgery (Baritastic).

@fabgeekmom Yes, we love to go get coffee. Good job with the swim! I love Swiss chard. I hadn't had it until I tutored a woman from the Czech Republic and she made it for me and it was delicious.

Hi all. Not too much to say right now, it's a work day. I signed up for another photography club meetup, this one is shooting pictures of people and architecture in a beach town (not so much shooting the ocean or the beach, it's about the people and places). That will be this Saturday.

@trooworld The photography club sounds like fun. It’s something you’re good at and enjoy. Hi, all. DH and I got flu shots today. I went for a walk afterwards. I’m making pulled chicken in the crockpot for dinner. Also coleslaw and roasted baby potatoes.
