Made it to WI. I got to the airport at 4:24a for a 5:00a flight π² - still made it! woop!
The Celebration of Life was lovely. Really lovely. Def had some veggies, but it was a buffet style heavy on smoked meats and cheese (it's WI, lol), and stuff. There was a delicious pasta salad with bowties and green beans and avocado and other veggies, and a raw veggies plate. I had some carrots, cauliflower and cherry tomatoes.
CRAZY tired. Farmer's market looks fantastic SG !

Thanks, ladies Back in Maine today! Happy to be home. My niece flew up from New York to watch my daughter's 3 dogs and 2 cats, and peek in on our 3 cats, while we were gone. What a luvvie πππ. She picked my daughter and I up from the airport, we had lunch at a cute restaurant in Portland:
I didn't have greens, but I did have delicious fruit & nuts, & a delicious Turmeric Latte ~
Turmeric Latte (me), Iced Chai (daughter), Affogato (house matcha over vanilla ice cream + crushed pistachios & espresso shot) (niece):
Ricotta Tartine, w/ fresh raspberries, pistachios, lemon zest, mint, honey (me):
Super cute menu! ~
Dinner in WI was thin crust pizza, Culver's and lasagna, so a bit of a bust there , but I did have salad with the lasagna, and skipped the garlic bread ;-).
I had a Bartlett Pear, a Banana, and a Oui Yogurt Pot for breakfast this morning, before my 7a flight, and apple chips, pistachios, apple juice and tea on the flights (to Detroit, then to Portland), so, yes to freggies and nuts, but no to greens.
In WI, we went to Original Pancake House for breakfast on Monday. The healthy options weren't as extensive as they were at Golden Nest Pancakes & Cafe on Sunday, where I got the Invincibility Juice and Veggie Bowl, but I got fruit crepes, and strawberries and whipped cream. I split half of the strawberries with hubby, and brought the other half home with me, along with half of the crepes. I'll have them for breakfast tomorrow .
Blueberry Crepe, with fresh homemade whipped cream; Peach Crepe, with raspberry syrup; Mandarin Crepe, with tropical syrup:

I am unbelievably still slightly stuffed up, still have a slight cough, and my lips have been wildly chapped since the flight out to WI, despite drinking over 24 z of fluids (water, tea, and apple juice) on each of the flights there, and doing a very good job of hydrating with more water than usual over the 3.5 days there. When I left this morning, my MIL went back to bed instead of coming to the airport as she had planned - she said she wasn't sure if she slept poorly, or if she was coming down with something π¬, I hope not the latter! (I'm Covid Day 23 for goodness sakes, why do I still have stuffiness π€).

Gosh that looks fabulous! The next time I'm in Whole Foods or Trader Joe's, I'm going to have to look for this celery juice you keep raving about, SG. I never would have thought to drink celery juice! But I def want to try it.
Woke up with a sore throat this morning :-(. I hope it's just from the planes, and not a thing.
Happy Green Day, lovelies!1 -

Leftover Wisconsin Greens!
It doesn't looks as pretty as the first time ;-), but it's just as yummy! Restaurant meals are almost always too big, I always ask for a takeout container and bring home half. I added 2 new eggs to make a meal. I left it warming in the oven a tad too long, but it's hard to screw up leftover veggie bowl & eggs . It's a bit dryer, but sorta kinda even yummier! lol~

Saturday Freggies~!
I guess I'm going to spend the whole month of November sick π. I woke up with a sore throat on Wednesday, after my flight home Tuesday. My Covid clammy sweats had finally just subsided the Wednesday before, but I was still stuffed up and voice hoarse. I felt like it was finally gone (except for very chapped lips!), the day of my flight home (23 days since Covid onset!) ... and then I woke up with the damn sore throat on Wed. It was gone on Thur, I thought it was a one-off, but back with a vengeance yesterday and today. Sneezing and runny nose again too. I Covid tested on Wed, checking for 'Rebound Covid' from the Paxlovid course of treatment, but nope, still negative.
Anyway, I guess just some kind of garden variety sore throat. My seatmate on the 2nd flight from Detroit to Portland had a continuous slight cough, and throat clearing, maybe I caught a bug from her?
Dayquilling again/still, and gargling with warm salty water. And my Greens today are a makeshift soup:
1/4 cup It's Delish Soup Vegetables
1/2 cup Diced Tomatoes
1/2 can Butter Beans
2/3 cup Frozen Sweet Peas
12 oz water
3 min in mic, stir, 3 min more, done. No broth or bouillon required. It's Delish Soup Veg are bursting with flavor. It's a "Delicious mix of dehydrated vegetables including Carrots, Red Bell Pepper, Onion, Green Bell Pepper, Parsley, Celery", according to their website. They are correct, it IS delicious. I've had them bare, with just 8z water, added to Jambalaya (with the 8z water), and in makeshift soups with other veg added (like today's diced tomatoes, frozen sweet peas, and butter beans). Def recommend!
Doesn't look yummy here, but it is. That's all the parsley gathered on top:

Feel better MK! @mkksemail
Youβve been sick for so long.. have you seen a doctor? Seems like maybe your immunity is low?
Maybe a dietician for nutrition to boost your immunity? Your doctor should be able to do an immunoglobulin test to check immune function.
Hopefully the greens and nature mades will give you a boost!
Interestingly- I reading an article on Healthline and a pubmed article about processed foods relating to gut health equaling low immunity:
βDiets high in fast food and highly processed foods may drive inflammation, increase gut permeability, and cause bacteria imbalance in the gut, all of which can negatively affect your immune healthβ
Maybe ditch anything that isnβt a natural, whole food and see if it helps? Hope you can figure out the source soon!

I have been sick for so long :-(. I checked on my calendar, first Covid symptoms started Oct 28 π.
Yes, I actually did see my doctor a couple weeks ago, on Wed Nov 13, for a previously scheduled 6-mos physical followup for cholesterol and a1c. That was Covid Day 17, according to my calendar. Doc didn't seem concerned that I was still stuffed up and my voice was still hoarse π€·ββοΈ.
For sure, good advice on the diet. I will make a better effort. I appreciate the advice! hugs ~
And ... as always, your plates are so inspiring ! I absolutely love seeing them ππ₯°1
