Too much sugar

I've been on MFP for two full months, and I haven't lost any weight even though I've been staying at 1200 calories and exercising daily. So I looked at every single day of my diary, and I realize I'm going over my sugar, sometimes by a lot. If I stay under my sugar from now on, will I start losing weight? I'm getting frustrated!

Staying under sugar may help, but other things may be involved.

Is 1200 calories ENOUGH for your body? Maybe you need to be set higher. Are you eating back your calories when you exercise?

I am eating them back, for this month I'm changing my intake to the recommended losing 1 pound a week instead of 2. I think that puts me at 1460. Might as well try that in combination with lowering my sugar.

At lot of it is trial and error. It could be what you suspect... too much sugar is preventing you from losing weight. Make sure you're eating whole grains, lean protiens and whole fruits and veggies. I can't view your diary, so it's hard to tell. Everyone is different and you've got to find what works for you. When I eat a lot of fruit over many days, I don't lose and sometimes even gain - so I still have to think of fruits as a treat (eat small amouts and sparingly).
