    Day 70 ~ May 20

    • Sleep ~ 7h 32m
    • Steps ~ 13.699
    • Vitamins ~ done
    • Food ~ 1617 calories / 108 protein / 49 fiber
    • Gym at 8:30
    • Walk ~ 51 min / 3.93 km

I was up a bit early so a little short on sleep this time. I got my new schedule at the gym. You always book with a trainer the first time you do a new schedule so they can explain and help you out. The trainer I got was the only one in the building it seemed for at least 40 minutes of my timeslot. So he constantly had to help other people as well which really annoyed me since I had to wait and do nothing until he came back. I do like the new schedule, though it is very challenging. There are two exercises that I don't like (reverse lunge with a weighted bar on my shoulder when I can barely do a 'normal' lunge, and mountain climbers), but there is lots of room for improvement and I can't wait to see where I am in 3 months time.

My legs were already dying after doing 5 of those reverse lunges which was not very fun. With a new schedule you always start with 2 sets instead of 3 so I only did 10 of them! I think having the walk in the afternoon helped a lot. I got pretty sore, but I have had worse. The outdoor walk was not great since it was really hot. I managed to fit a tiny waterbottle in my small bag which was a good move. I usually don't bring anything since my walks are relatively short. I was exhausted and didn't manage to do much else the rest of the day besides the dishes and had an early night.

There are a few more stretches at the end, but that's not very interesting.

    • Walk 1 ~ 70 min / 5.33 km
    • Walk 2 ~ 45 min / 3.40 km

I had a relaxing walk without my camera in the morning. I was very tired and quite sore from the gym so I didn't feel like carrying extra weight. I was dressed a bit too warm, but the walk was nice. I got groceries right after and did an indoor walk in the afternoon. In the evening I put in another support post to help keep my hawthorn tree in place. The wind mostly blows from the back of it and the support on the sides didn't seem like enough. It looks much better now.

    • Food ~ 1629 calories / 111 protein / 46 fiber
    • Gym at 8:30
    • Walk ~ 47 min / 3.73 km

Went to the gym in the morning. I was still pretty sore, especially the ab roller was awful but otherwise had a good workout. I still did 2 sets of everything instead of 3, probably go for 3 on Tuesday. We will see. I ended up waiting for a delivery for several hours which was incredibly frustrating. I was already supposed to get this stuff on Wednesday, but the truck broke down so it got moved a day later. But they never gave me a new time and the track & trace was broken. I ended up emailing them and they said between 14:00 and 16:00. I had no time to walk before that point, so I had to wait until after. They eventually showed up at 17:15. So I finally did my outdoor walk after that and my last food was closer to 19:00 instead of the usual +/- 16:30. Very annoying, but I still managed and the walk was really nice after being grumpy about the delivery most of the day.

    • Walk 1 ~ 50 min / 3.80 km
    • Walk 2 ~ 45 min / 3.51 km

I was pretty tired so went for a short outdoor walk in the morning. The weather was all over the place, but I managed to stay dry. I really appreciate the drop in temp. I got some fun packages delivered since this month I received vaction money so I treated myself to four jigsaw puzzles and two new books. I also ran out of laundry soap and while looking online, I found eco egg so I am going to try them out. I walked indoors for my afternoon workout. I usually walk at 4.5 km/h, but I am starting to add blocks of 5 km/h because otherwise my heart rate stays in the warm up zone instead of fat burn.

Good workout at the gym. Already felt a lot less sore, though on advice of the trainer, I skipped the ab roller exercise which I didn't mind at all! We got a lot of rain later in the day, but I got my outdoor walk done before most of it started except for a couple of drops. The rest of the day was very relaxing with lots of tea and laptime for my cat.

Not going to be tracking sleep here anymore. Huawei is pretty bad at it and I always go to bed on time so it doesn't matter. It was raining in the morning, but I didn't feel like waiting with my outdoor walk so I just went. It was very windy and warm, a bit weird. I walked inside on the pad in the afternoon. I was very tired and ended up going to bed around 19:45.

    • Setting up fence +/- 2 hours

I had a busy day. Got up early and headed out for a walk at 7:00. Got home, showered and then took my cat to the vet for his painkiller shot. After breakfast I saw that something grabbed a pigeon that was eating in my front yard. A little while later I saw the neighbours cat with a feather in its mouth and her whole garden was full of feathers. That pissed me off a lot. I planned to make the fence on Thursday, but I used the anger as fuel and got it done yesterday. I really hope this will help with keep the cats out of my garden, give my own cat peace of mind and of course prevent them from grabbing any birds in my garden where I like to feed them. The cats aren't wearing collars with bells either. I think I will talk to her about it because that's the least she can do. Anyway, I worked through some rain and hail and I was extremely gross after I was done with the fence, so I had another shower. Then it was off to the dentist for a check up. Thankfully, everything looked good so no follow up needed. I am very scared of the dentist and it takes a lot for me to go, so I was very happy about that. The rest of the day was relaxing with lots of cat cuddles.

A rainy day, good workout at the gym. Did 3 sets for almost everything. I got a package with 3 new teas, love all of them. It was dry in the afternoon so my outdoor walk wasn't bad. Still pretty warm with a lot of wind. I got groceries after and picked up something from the vet. The rest of the day it was raining non stop. Good thing is that my rain barrels are getting refilled since 3 of the 5 were completely empty. I was very tired so I had an early night.

    • Walk 2 ~ 45 min / 3.52 km

My body felt a little tired and achey from the gym, though nothing too bad. It could also just be from doing two workouts a day for quite a while now. I got two walks done, outside in the morning and inside in the afternoon. The walk on the pad felt like a giant slog; I had no energy. I got some packages delivered with vitamins, foot butter, protein powder, two new bands for my Huawei and a mat with plastic spikes that I plan to put under two plants to hopefully keep the cats from sitting under them to hunt my birds. Though I have to say that after putting up the fence, I have not seen either cat in my front garden. I also moved water from the rainbarrels outside to the ones in my garage so those are full again and the ones outside can catch some more water. An annoying little chore to scoop out one bucket at a time, but I am glad to have free water for the garden so it's fine.

Gym was closed because it was a holiday here, so I went for a walk in the morning. There was a lot of rain on the way, but I only got a little bit of drizzle at the end of my walk so not a big deal. I wanted to go to the store for lice spray, my plants were still super bad, but the rain didn't stop and I didn't feel like going out in it. Store was also only open for a short time because of the holiday so I couldn't go later in the day. I had a good walk on the pad as well, though my left heel was very sore. I think I am going to try a little harder to see if I can do something about it because it has been going on for way too long and I would like to walk without pain.

    • Vitamins ~ done
    • Food ~ 1639 calories / 110 protein / 50 fiber
    • Bike ride ~ 95 min
    • Walk ~ 46 min / 3.7 km

Decided to give my feet a break and bike in the morning since I also have new crack in my heel. It is more on the side thankfully so it could be worse. It was very windy and grey out which isn't the greatest for taking pictures. I still saw a few fun birds and I got really lucky with a pied flycatcher who flew on top of some foxglove. The picture would have been even better if it was sunny out, but not going to complain.

I made food when I got home and after that I finally picked up another lice spray, but from a different brand. Still eco because I don't want poison in my garden of course. She also said it wouldn't be a bad idea to cut out the parts of the plant that are affected the most since butterfly bushes are pretty strong and will just grow again. So I cut a bit out and then used the new spray. I could already see a huge difference after an hour so I am happy this one is working. I might grab one more bottle today because my plants are pretty big and I just want to make sure I got everything covered.

I walked inside on the pad in the afternoon, really enjoying the new YT channel I found to watch. It makes my tiny workout feel like nothing. I was extremely tired, but I still wanted to get some more things done. It was not easy, but I kicked myself out of the house to work in the garden in the evening. I did a bunch of weeding, I cleaned up my path to the front door, I mowed the front yard, I cleaned the bird baths and put fresh water in and I set up the prickly mats under two of my plants to discourage the cats from sitting there. Another positive is that I noticed both cats now wear collars with bells so I hope they won't catch birds anymore. Anyway, the garden stuff took me over 75 minutes so by the time I was done I had to get ready for bed. I was pretty proud of everything I managed to do despite being so tired and it goes to show once again that we are capable of more than we think.

I guess the busy Friday caught up with me. I was beyond exhausted the whole day yesterday. I did get a good workout in at the gym and did 3 sets of everything, but it was very hard. Afternoon walk outside was very humid and warm, thankfully not much sun. The rest of the day I pretty much sat on my butt, read a lot, played some games and just relaxed.

I was still tired and it was pretty warm out so only did a short morning walk again. Did all my laundry and walked inside on the pad in the afternoon. Not a very interesting day. Going to try a little harder to get this issue with my heel resolved. Doing stretches, icing and using foot massager more. I have had this pain for 2 years now and it is not fun. If the increased efforts make no difference, I will go to the doctor.

My heals get sore with walking. I find gel heal socks help for sore skin. I get them in packs from amazon , they just cover the heal part and wear them under my regular socks. Also used gel heal shoe inserts before when had heal spurs which is deeper issue inside heal.

I did the same walks again, outside in the morning and inside in the afternoon. I just don't have the energy to go for a longer walk lately. I really think my body is a little bit done with this challenge! It is okay though, I will manage and finish it. Yesterday was day 52 so not that much left! Ended up going to bed at 19:15 because I was so exhausted.

Tuesdays are normally gym days, but I had a sharp pain in my left shoulder and I also wanted to have energy left to clean. So I cancelled my gym time slot and went for an outdoor walk in the morning again. Around midday I vacuumed the whole house and mopped everywhere downstairs. Because of th the challenge I haven't been able to do a lot of cleaning so this was very needed. Really nice to have everything clean.

I did a walk on the pad after lunch. Had to increase my speed again because of too low heartrate. Now I do 5 min 4.5 km / 10 min 5 km / 5 min 5.5 km / 5 min 4.5 km / 10 min 5 km / 5 min 5.5 km / 5 min 4.5 km for a total of 45 minutes. My walking pad only goes up in steps of 0.5 but that is okay. 5.5 speed is still very doable to walk.

Same walks again. I took my rain poncho with me on the outdoor walk, but that was a little overkill. Only got a few drops for a couple of minutes. Walk indoors went well, really enjoyed the video I was watching. Generally though, I was very tired, had a headache and I was also beyond grumpy most of the day. Not really fun. Went to bed before 20:00 again.

I had a good workout at the gym, though it was a little busy. Someone also claimed a machine and then spent over 10 minutes talking to a trainer so that was very annoying. I could have done my whole set in that time but instead I had to move things around because of that. Walked outside in the afternoon which was fine, though I did have to speed walk to the toilet on the campsite again. I made it home before the rain started.

Nice outdoor walk in the morning. Temp was good, weather looked a bit questionable. It was supposed to be dry, but that wasn't the case. Didn't get too wet and I didn't care either way. Picked up a package with some new underwear, a super fluffy one size winter dress that was discounted and two shorts to use for walking on the pad at home. It came in a big box so I dropped it off at home first and then went back for groceries. Walked inside on the pad later in the day.

I grabbed my puzzle table from upstairs two days ago and I am working on a jigsaw again. I have a lot of new ones that I still need to put together. Because I am so tired doing the challenge, it is really nice to have something relaxing to do that doesn't take much energy and doesn't involve a screen. Made some good progress on the current puzzle, love it.

It was pouring rain when I got up, but when I left it was pretty much dry. Just a little bit of drizzle during the walk which was impressive because the clouds looked very scary. It was raining on and off the rest of the day. All my rain barrels are full again. I did more laundry and walked inside on the pad later. Despite the icing, stretching and massaging, my heel pain is getting worse. My mom is visiting this week, so next week I think I will go to the doctor. Finished reading 'the daily stoic' which was a really good book. Will come back to it for sure.

The same outdoor walk as always, it was nice outside after all the rain. I washed my bedsheet and the ones from the guestbed. I had my first mosquito the night before so I also got my mosquito net from storage and set it up. It is a little annoying to get in and out of bed, but it's much better than waking up from buzzing and itching. Walked on the pad in the afternoon and worked on a jigsaw puzzle a lot. It is a loan from my mom so I want to finish it before Thursday so she can have it back again. Tired.

The plan was to go for a bike ride, but the weather wasn't great, so decided to just walk again. At least my heel felt okay. It started pouring rain 5 minutes after I got home, so I timed that well. Bad headache, so I took some pills. Needed a bunch of groceries, but the whole day was pretty wet and I didn't feel like going so will grab them today. Had a late indoor walk, lots of laptime for my cat and I finished the puzzle. This week I will not be going to the gym at all. Didn't yesterday to save some energy and the rest of the week my mom is here which is exhausting enough, so just more walks coming up.
