Went for a nice bike ride in the morning. The sun didn't show up much and I was actually a bit chilly. Not many birds to see, but got some other fun pictures and I enjoyed myself. I had to go to 3 different stores and bike home in between each because I needed the bags on my bike for all of them. First I got a bunch of groceries for me and my mom, then I got two heavy bags of cat litter and then I went to store number 3 for two big bags of toiletpaper. I did my indoor walk after, then started laundry and in the evening I did some mowing in the back yard. Productive day.

The usual outdoor walk in the morning. I tested the gel heel socks I got the day before. I can't really tell if they help, but it doesn't feel worse either, so I will keep using them for a while. I wear pretty tight walking socks so they stay in place. Got the last groceries I needed for my moms visit. She gave me two cute plushies and I also got some things for her because she skipped a month and I didn't see her around mothers day. It was a hot day so I did a walk on the pad while she went swimming.

Walked with my mom in the morning at an absolute snails pace. She stopped a lot of pictures. I know we are always slow because of it, but it made an around 2 hour outing a 3,5 hour one. The morning was still alright, but it got really hot later in the day so we just stayed inside. I walked on the pad with the fan later while we watched a fell running video which was pretty fun. The fan helped a lot. I was very tired all day and had a headache most of the time. We played a game in the evening, but I ended up going to bed before 8.

- Walk 1 ~ 60 min / 4.31 km

Another slow morning walk. This time because her back hurt. It doesn't always happen, but it sucks when it does. I got some more groceries after and then we had a quiet day. It was 31 degrees and disgustingly humid and we basically got zero rain so it did not cool down much. Walked on the pad with a fan again while watching a UTMB race video with my mom, but walk felt a bit tough. Again tired and hired, bed a little after 8, thankfully still slept okay.

- Food ~ 1596 calories / 108 protein / 48 fiber
- Walk 1 ~ 71 min / 5.18 km
- Walk 2 ~ 45 min / 3.60 km
Last walk with my mom. We didn't go too far and walked on mostly paved roads which seemed to help with her back pain. It had cooled down quite a bit even though we got no rain, but the wind did a good job so the walk was much more enjoyable for me. My mom went home again around 13:00. While I was pretty tired when she was here, it wasn't as bad as I feared and I didn't get any migraines which often happens during a visit so I consider it a win. I had a late indoor walk on my pad and finished reading the second Goggins book "Never finished". I loved that one even more than his first book. I planned to stretch it out for my last few weeks of 75 hard, but I literally couldn't stop reading it. Going to start "Born to run" today.

- Vitamins ~ done
- Food ~ 1677 calories / 110 protein / 49 fiber
- Walk ~ 49 min / 3.94 km
- Gym at 15:00
I went for a short walk in the morning. Nothing special, weather was nice. I decided to switch around all my gym days and times. I really want to keep the mornings free for the outdoor workouts, especially with the warmer weather. Although the opening times aren't ideal and different for all three days, I will go Mon/Wed/Fri at 15:00, 15:30 and 16:00. It is only for a little longer since they open 24/7 in August. I had my lunch around 13:45 and gym at 15:00. I was a little worried that the food would bother me, but it was totally fine. I am also paying attention more to taking a 2 minute break between my sets which so far has made a big difference in muscle fatigue. I couldn't do 3x10 of one set before, but with proper breaks I managed to do it. The minutes do add up though, so I skipped my walking on the threadmill, which was optional anyway. Started reading my next book (Born to run) and loving this one as well. I doubt it is going to last until the 25th, but I guess we will see.

I was up really early and decided to go for a bike ride with my camera. The first part was extremely misty and I barely saw anything, and if I did, it was hard to get any decent pictures because of the fog. Saw some fun things, but nothing special. I had an early walk on the pad before lunch which was a good move since I was extremely tired later in the day. Also went to a doc appointment at 2. Headache, exhausted and a very hot day.

Outdoor walk to start the day. Temp was nice, but it got hot pretty quickly. I did all my laundry and went to the gym at 15:30. It was a very sweaty workout, but I felt pretty strong. I hope my gym will eventually get some airconditioning. Even placing some fans in a few spots would help.
I got a package in the evening with a book and new Teva sandals. I got my last pair second hand for a really good price, but the velcro straps are really used up now and they barely stick anymore. I couldn't find anything I liked second hand this time, so I got them from amazon for 50 euros which still isn't bad.

Went for my usual morning walk. I woke up very tired and my eyes were pretty sore, though my sleep was long and good. Walk was alright and felt better. I got some more groceries after and finished reading 'born to run'. 10/10, hilarious and interesting. I did my indoor walk before lunch. My heel was very sore again.

Outdoor morning walk, saw a couple of roedeer and found a cute eurasian jay feather. I collected a bag of pinecones to put under a plant I have to keep the cats from sitting there. I already have some prickly mats, but pinecones are free so I hope it helps. Potatoes were not in stock for a few days, so I went to the store again to pick some up. Went to the gym late in the day and saw a pretty dragonfly in the garden when I got home. It was hot, I had a killer headache and I was exhausted so an early night.

Outdoor walk in the morning, didn't see anything fun. It got hot really fast and we had a miserable 30 degrees. I walked on the pad later with the fan on. I tried with my old gym shoes with padding, but that still hurt my heel and actually felt worse than my barefoot ones, so not doing that again. I pulled a muscle in my back Friday evening, so both walks were not great since standing up straight hurt the most. I think it is good I still moved around though and it is feeling better today. It barely cooled down at night, thankfully slept pretty well.

Still very warm in the morning, so I went for a bike ride. Got some nice bird pictures and found a frog on the bike path. He did not want to move at all, but I made sure he did anyway because otherwise he would be flattened like a pancake by someone not paying attention. Walked on the pad with fan later. It was another hot day and I was extremely tired. Ended up going to bed at 19:15.

Morning was still pretty warm, outdoor walk was fine. Went to the vet with my cat later for his painkiller injection. It was a disaster. The assistant was fumbling, first needle wasn't sharp somehow. She couldn't find a good spot, second attempt made my cat freak out and scratch which he has never done before. She also let go so the needle was just hanging there and she didn't get all the liquid out. Then she got a colleague to stick him a 3rd time with the little bit that was left. It sucked all around and I am not going to let an assistant do this anymore. Having it done by a vet costs more money, but I rather pay extra and get it done properly the first time than see my cat hurt. Went to the gym later which went alright, though I did hurt a muscle in my left arm. It is not so bad anymore today.

Nice outdoor walk, there was a breeze and no sun. We got some rain and wind so the temperature was a lot nicer. Walked inside on the pad later, still with the fan on. It was even cool enough that my cat enjoyed some laptime which was fun.

Last day of 75 hard, yay! It was a very humid morning, 18 degrees at 6:00, not fun. Walk was a bit sweaty because of it. I had a shower after and then went to the doctor for my hellpain. He wants me to get an x-ray done first. I was looking forward to doing nothing, but I will be biking to the hospital tomorrow which is 50 minutes one way. Not great. Public transport takes longer, costs money and is annoying so biking it is. I walked on the pad instead of going to the gym. I had a very sore leg and didn't feel like leaving the house so I just went slow. Also finished my last book for the challenge which was nice.

April 12 was the start of 75 hard and today is the end of it. So I lost 31 pounds during the challenge which is a lot more than I expected! I didn't have a goal in mind, but I am super happy with it.
I am going to take a break now, eat some nice food, rest my body and then I will start blocks of 25 hard from the 1st of every month to the 25th. I think 75 days is a looong time (especially for 2 daily workouts) and I am perfectly happy with just doing it once! This way I have a little bit of a break at the end of each month if I need it and I will also eat at maintenance calories for a few days.
Also going to weigh in at 3 specific points. I don't want to see any gains on the scales since it will just bug me, so I won't weigh in right after the breaks at the end of each month. My weigh in dates will be on the 8th, 17th and 26th. I am excited to keep going!
My favourite part of the challenge was reading the 10 pages of non fiction. I love reading, but almost all of it is fantasy/YA so this introduced a whole new genre. I loved all 6 of the books I have read and I read way more than 10 pages a day. I have a bunch of books ready to go and tons more on my amazon wishlist.
Books I've read:
- A short history of nearly everything ~ 8/10
- Can't hurt me ~ 10/10
- The daily stoic ~ 8.5/10
- Never finished ~ 10/10
- Born to run ~ 10/10
- Eat & run ~ 9/10

Day 107 ~ June 26
- Steps ~ 5.605
- Vitamins ~ done
- Food ~ did not track
- No workouts
I had a rest day after finishing 75 hard. My body could use the break, though mentally it felt wrong not to workout. It was a good day for the break though, since it rained most of the time. I got groceries delivered in the morning with some things my brain told me I was craving. My brain lied. I didn't really enjoy anything I bought. I had a few bites of different stuff, but nothing tasted as good as I remembered and I ended up throwing away a lot of food. I don't enjoy the waste, but better in the bin than in my body. I felt horribily bloated and nausseated for hours. Also got such a bad sugarcrash that I had to go to bed in the afternoon. I thought that was very funny. 75 days of working out twice a day, no problem! But a bunch of sugar knocked me out.
My plan was to have a break until the 1st of July, but I can already tell that is not going to happen. I hate not having the routine, I miss walking, I want to eat my 'normal' food and that is after only one day of break! Honestly delighted about that because that shows a huge change from how I was before the challenge. It makes me feel like I have done this so long now, it has become my new normal and I love that.

I planned to bike to the hospital, but it was raining a lot in the morning so I decided to move it to Monday. Instead I went for a walk in my rain poncho. It was pretty warm so the rain was nice and the last 12 minutes or so were dry. I had another day of eating crap which wasn't worth it. I am totally over it now!!! Back to normal today.

Rough start of the day. I felt very sick and had a bad headache. Still went out for my morning walk though, humid again. Went to the gym before lunch, felt a lot better by then. I bought a cheap airfryer a few days ago to try out. I cook my potatoes and veggie burger in a bunch of oil and I wanted to see how it was in the airfryer. I did not enjoy it at all, so I will just keep baking in oil. It is healthier without, but I am not going to sacrifice 90% of the taste for it. I did not even finish my potatoes. Macros were a bit crappy because I ate my last two stroopwafels.

I went for my usual early morning walk. My dad visited around 9:30. Hadn't seen him in two months so it was nice to catch up. We went for a walk together as well, but a different forest walk. It was warm, but when we went the sun left and there was a breeze so the second walk was actually nicer. I didn't do anything else the rest of the day.

Day 111 ~ June 30
- Steps ~ 9.518
- Vitamins ~ done
- Food ~ a mess
- Bike ride +/- 2 hours
Hot day, I biked to the hospital to get an x-ray taken of my heel. The biking took longer than I expected, but the route was pretty nice and in nature 90% of the time. Besides a sore butt, I actually had a good time. Hospital was done really fast. Maybe 3 minutes of waiting before I got called in for the pictures. I will call for the results tomorrow, but I don't expect anything to show on the x-rays. The rest of the day was lazy with a lot of food. Since it was the last day of my break, my brain went a little crazy and convinced me I needed a bunch of unhealthy food. They had my favourite B&J icecream flavour (really the only one I like) in stock and it was 1+1 free so I ate a whole tub amongst other things. Not a good idea! I am still amazed every time how easy it is to get used to garbage eating habits again. Or maybe it is just me. Diet breaks are never a good idea for me.

Day 112 ~ July 1

- Vitamins ~ done
- Food ~ 1594 calories / 107 proten / 51 fiber
- Walk 1 ~ 49 min / 3.87 km
- Walk 2 ~ 45 min / 3.5 km
I got up early so I could walk before the heat. I was done with my walk at 7:32 which was nice. It was very quiet outside. The break I took from healthy eating after 75 hard did not serve me well. Dealing with some cravings again which is annoying. My breaks are always longer than I want as well. It wouldn't be so bad if I could keep it to one day. Maybe no break would be the best, I will try that after this block of 25 hard. I walked inside on the pad before lunch. Kept my speed a bit lower than usual because of the heat. Started reading 'a walk in the woods' which I am sure I will enjoy. I went to bed early and it was still 30+ degrees until midnight. No point in even opening the windows. It was a very gross night.

- Vitamins ~ done
- Food ~ 1576 calories / 105 proten / 52 fiber
- Bike ride +/- 90 min
- Walk ~ 45 min / 3.51 km
Even though it was a very sweaty night, I still got 8 hours of sleep which surprised me. I was up at 5:20, had everything open in the living room with a blower, but did not manage to get the temperature down anything at all. I left for a bike ride a little after 6 which was nice. Cooked food when I got home and fairly soon after walked inside on the pad. It wasn't going to get colder anyway and I wanted to get it over with. There were warnings for thunder later, but as usual, my town got absolutely nothing. Though it did slowly start to cool down thanks to some wind. A pile of rain would have been very welcome.

I got up early again. It was still very hot inside. After my usual walk, I had all the windows open everywhere which helped a lot. It's nice to be able to breathe again. I went to the gym in the afternoon and I had the whole building to myself for the entire hour which was fun. I planned to get some groceries too, but I didn't really trust myself because of some cravings so I put it off another day. I got a package in the evening with some new books, toespacers and a body pillow. I am curious to see how I sleep with that.

- Gardening +/- 60 min
I had a nice and quiet walk in the morning. I got groceries after and didn't buy anything I didn't need so that was a success. Cravings are getting less and less and I am not hungry either. They also had beanie boo's which were tempting me. I had two dragons in my hands, but managed to put both of them back. For my second workout I decided to count a lot of mowing and some weeding/tidying up. It sure felt sweaty enough to be a workout. Also did 3 loads of laundry.

Nice walk in the morning, no sun, temperature was okay. Went to the gym before lunch. It was a little busy this time. The rest of the day was not very interesting. I tried out the body pillow the night before, but I was not a fan. The support for the knees is nice, but I didn't know what to do with my arms and my shoulder that was on the bottom started to hurt. I also like to switch sides a lot which is kind of annoying with a big pillow you have to move with you. I might give it another try later or just use it for my lower body when I don't need my mosquito net anymore.

- Food ~ 1643 calories / 110 protein / 49 fiber
- Walk 1 ~ 54 min / 4.24 km
- Walk 2 ~ 46 min / 3.70 km
Finally went for a different walk in the morning. I was happy there was no sun again, but it was quite warm. We got a lot of rain later in the day which was great. Enjoyed a lot of tea and laptime for my cat. Walked on the pad after lunch which was fine. My left knee has been hurting a bit lately, hope that goes away soon.
