Accountability Buddy/Friends

I am about a month into eating healthy again and trying to lose weight. I started a new MFP account so I don’t have any friends on here anymore. Would love to find some friends so that we can support each other and talk fitness/dieting. I am at 203 pounds right now and trying to get to 160 by end of year. Hopefully this post works out!

Also, I live in Pennsylvania if that matters to anyone

Hi Mike. I am Shelley. My best thoughts are as follows. Track what you eat for awhile. Know what you're really eating and cut something. Don't mindlessly eat. And never, never tell yourself that you can eat more since you worked out! Or since you haven't eaten much today. My next favorite works for all addictions. Stop going out with friends who overeat. Instead find friends who look more like you want to and learn their lifestyle.

And eat slower. Put down that eating tool between bites. Enjoy the food you are eating. Another favorite of mine, if it doesn't taste great stop eating it. Just throw it out. Why hold onto weight eating things you don't even like. Sorry I can be passionate.

@MikeA6042 I'm Carrie. Sending you a FR! I lost 50 lbs 10 years ago and gained it back. I restarted this journey on July 7 with a goal of 50 lbs to lose. (starting at 193 lbs, down 5 lbs) I hope to gather a small network friends to share diets and to cheer each other on. I really miss the newsfeed! I had wonderful friends that would joke, encourage, and share recipes. I guess everything is done through email which seems silly and a pain in the rear. But we gotta do what we go do.

I aim for healthier foods. I love my meals and the benefits from them. Right now my exercise includes light treadmill and weight training. I hope to increase the exercise level once some of this weight comes off. I really enjoyed HIIT workouts and zumba (all from YouTube).

    Let's do this!!

Hey Mike, I’m in the same boat as you and a lot of others, having lost and gained and lost and gained. Currently sitting at 6’2” and 246lbs. Doc says I’m obese. Cholesterol is out whack and blood pressure is less than ideal. I’ve been down this road before having lost 80lbs after one of my wife’s pregnancies. Got into the best shape of my life. Only to have it all come back as I lost focus on myself, which in turn resulted in less focus on the things that matter most like family. As we age, not only do we not bounce back as high as we did when we were young, but the struggle to get back up increases as well. Best of luck to you, me and everyone on the journey we are on.

Hi Mike I'm looking for a accountability buddy. Someone I can talk to every day. Send photos, discuss daily achievements, struggles etc. If that sounds like you give me a shout :)

I'm looking for an accountability partner. My family doesn't care about my weight loss and I don't like posting stuff on Facebook.

I am always looking for accountability people. I find it easier to check in with people and oh yeah I forgot to log that when a message pops up. Feel free to add me as a friend, or anyone else! My goals are actually logging my food, meeting my nutrition goals, and meeting my step count everyday. Good luck on your goals!

Hi all, hope everyone is doing well. I am trying to lose weight. I was in the Los Angeles wildfires and it really messed up my routine. Ended up gaining 20 lbs. I’d like to see if anybody wants to be accountability buddies. Please feel free to add me as a friend. My goal is to try to stay under 1,500 calories.

Hey everyone. I'm 3 months into my weight loss journey and have officially lost my first stone today. I still have 2-3 more to go and would love some others to share the journey with and motivate each other. None of my family and friends are that interested, and I don't post anything about my journey on social media.
