    Summary - I have been in maintenance for about 3 years now: 54 - 55kg.

    Not the best start to August, but I’m very determined:

    @MercyRoth you’re still showing a net loss and that’s fantastic!!! You’ll get there - the benefits from changing habits take some time and before you know it, you’ll wonder why you never did it before. Hang in there - you’re doing a great job!!

    @Kupla71 you're a superstar - losing weight is amazing and you’re doing it!! You need to congratulate yourself on losing weight which is wonderful by any measure!

    @Michieb125 well done on the progress that you’re making and the great insights that you’re gaining from your diligent tracking!

    Feeling frustrated yesterday so I went off the rails a bit and had chicken pot pie and a lot of red wine for supper. Decided not to weigh in this morning. I’ve been concentrating on weight loss consistently for 18 months now and when it slows to a crawl, naturally frustration will kick in. I think once I get consistently below 170 I will take a maintenance break.
    thanks @SuperMotivated56 for cheering me on 🙌🏻 With you being in maintenance mode you serve as a light at the end of the tunnel for a lot of us.

    Yesterday was such a bad day for me as far as food goes. For some reason the hunger/munchie monster showed up in full force . I ate my regular breakfast , then was hungry by 10:30 so I ate my lunch which was leftovers homemade manwhich meat on a bun, which then led to chips and a huge surgary cookie. I felt awful afterwards. Took some digestive enzymes and drank a ton of water for the rest of the day. I didn't think I would be hungry for dinner but I was .. which was a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. I did track everything to see where I landed at the end of the day and that sort of made me feel better . I was only about 200 calories over my normal.. phew.. but still.. I did over eat..Lunch equaled to 770 calories..

    Yesterday was supposed to be a rest day as far as excercise but I did a 35 minute walk to help with digestion and try to feel less like a turd..

    Hoping today I can manage any hunger signals with better choices.. I will be upping my protein and fiber today for sure..

There will be many, many frustrations and inexplicable experiences along the way, yet it will all be worth it. You really deserve this.       Wow not fun. Could be hormones, who knows. I’ll have to think about tightening up my approach. September always feels like the start of a new year for me so maybe this will give me the motivation boost to try harder.

    I didn't mention this yesterday but my younger of the two senior dogs has been ill for the past few days. We went to the vet yesterday and it may be Lymphoma. All his lymphnodes are swollen but his labs don't reflect a lymphocyte level is abnormal. So for now he is being treated for pancreatitis and is on anti nausea meds and antibiotics. He is not doing well at all and I pretty worried about him.

    We went out to eat last night as I have been craving pizza for two weeks and haven't had it yet. It satisfied my craving but it wasn't that great. I only ate two pieces and was over it. I also had a few wings. Salt levels are up this morning ofcourse so I am little surprised to see the drop on the scale. Might show up tomorrow so I am preparing for that mentally. I will do a workout today and hopefully try to offset some of that.

    Kept a pretty close watch on the pup yesterday all day. He's about the same, he had moments yesterday when he seemed a little perkier and feeling better. I cooked him chicken and rice and he seemed to have a good appetite when I offered him small meals throughout the day. He's definitely not right though and my gut doesn't have a good feeling about things. I may call the emergency vet (not my normal vet) and just ask them what I should be expecting to see for recovery if it is Pancreatitis because he just isn't showing much change. I wish it was Tuesday so I can be in touch my our normal vet. I should have had them do an ultrasound so we could visualize things, then we would have a better idea at this point .

    On a positive note, my horse is doing much better. so atleast there is one win. It literally been ALL SUMMER we have been trying to get his issues figured out and I lost out on alot of riding as a result.

    Last day of August is here. Our July weather that never came is showing up now, we are expecting 90's this week.. I don't know where this month went but I am looking forward September.

    HappyDonkey75 I'm so sorry to hear your dog isn't doing well. 💛 Wishing for the best. Super happy to hear the good news about your horse though!

    It's Labor Day weekend here in the states, and we've had a lot of amazingly good, bad-for-you food. :D So I didn't even bother to weigh in, that wasn't going to be a good number. But I'll be back for Tuesday, when life will spin right back up into my usual frenzy mode. Until then, I hope you all have a great rest of your Sunday or holiday weekend.
