I am taking TerriR's advice tho and I hung up the half butterfly as a suncatcher and put the other half on the sill where it can catch rays also. I "think" I found a set on ebay which are matching but of course until they show up it's hard to tell.

Wow, I agree. What a month. Lately I have just been popping in. I didn't realize it had been so long since I tracked here. Catch up time.

@SummerSkier I am so sorry you had a rough rebound of Covid. That is rough when you get credit for a run in your sleep. That is wild. I hope October is full of wellness for you. I love your beautiful flowers. I am glad you are using the suncatcher. My husband said apoxy for plastic should put it back together.

@77tes You have done amazing with all the stress you have been through. I am so sorry you had to experience the loss of your daughter. I am so glad you had your healthy habits to cling to for power, as self-care, and general grounding for yourself. You have been a great inspiration to me as well as all the members here. I have good habits until things get tough. Then I ditch them because I think I don't have time for them. I am seeing habits in a glimmer of new light. Thank you. The walk with hubby sounds nice and dancing is fantastic.

@snowshoe072 You are going through a lot right now. Give yourself compassion. It is not easy to see & care for our parents in this situation. It is a HORRIBLE disease and we do the best we can. I do encourage you to gently take care of yourself. Your normal routines are no longer normal. Find something that is healthy that sooths the soul and gently moves your body. Short chair yoga is great, but if you only do one minute, that is good enough. Do what works for the time. It can feel very isolating being a care giver. We are here to support you.

Summary: I did a lot better at the beginning of the month on sleep. Then I caught a cold and wacked up my sleep. I also still have the monkey mind go crazy when stressed and worried about family/friends. Too bad minds don't come with off switches. I am still calling the month a win. Now what habit should October be? Mmm.

@SummerSkier , ugh! Rebound worse than the original - so sorry ! I hope you’re already much better by the time you read this.  I love Morning Glories !  I don’t have any in my yard, but I look for the yards that have them. Glad you’re using the sun catcher and maybe found a match.

@learningmoments, glad you feel this month is a win - it looks like you got lots of activity in the month in spite of getting sick. Sleep is always a difficult challenge - it’s affected by so many factors.

Today was DD#2 ‘s birthday. We tried to make it  extra loving and enjoyable since it’s a rough month. DD#1 came down with her family and we went to church together Then, everyone went to watch her softball game. Then presents and treats. I was definitely over calories, but still way under the  average for the week.

This month is nearly over and admit I am so ready to turn the page and move ahead with October!

I am an ACTIVE person ~ moving and eating for longevity!

New habit: Yoga 30 mins a day in September (started on 8/31). Stacking habit: walking for exercise 3 times a week to daily walks - 3-4 miles minimum.

    September 25 - 🚶‍♀️ 🧘‍♀️ 🥘 🛌

    September 26 - 🚶‍♀️ 🧘‍♀️ 🍱 📖 🛌

    September 27 - 🧘‍♀️ 🍱 📖 🛌

    September 28- 🚶‍♀️🥘 📖 🛌

    September 29 - 🚶‍♀️ 🧘‍♀️ 🥘 📖 🛌 (pre-commitment)

Also did a weights session for arms at home last night (not just thinking about it anymore).
Each of you have helped me see how strong you all are and passionate about healthy habits! Even more so, is the importance of putting our health first even in the toughest of times. I do think that’s how we get through.

Sounds like you had a special birthday celebration yesterday @77tes. Turned out to be a tender yet lovely day. And the calories were worth it!

Just know you are not alone @snowshoe072 - caretaking your parents is the biggest act of kindness - to give them dignity and respect as they age. Be kind to yourself during this chapter.

@SummerSkier I hope are feeling much better today!

I have been working on refining my habits and broadening my list as well. Keep up the good work all.

As I reflect back on September there was room for more motivation on my part, perhaps October will be just a little better. I am pleased with maintaining my weight but it still needs to drop a little, now to think about October plans. Thanks for this group of great peeps, it is always helpful and inspiring. Wishing you all the best Kate

@77tes Sounds like a lovely birthday celebration.

Looks like everyone did very well with their habits in spite of all the challenges. I can't believe this year is flying by so fast. I think my October habit will be meditation. I welcome any suggestions on how/what to do. I love the idea @SummerSkier said about using the 2-minute relax meditation of my watch.

Sept 30.. still testing Positive but the line is faint. Does that count? 😷 Been at work this week but masking and no fever. Today I was coughing a bit more so I am going to remote this afternoon.

Overall I think we ALL managed pretty durn good considering our challenges.

Think negative VIBEs for Oct for me as I really don't want to push any activity until this virus is GONE GONE GONE…..

Hi everyone, I had all kinds of sincere intentions to actively participate in this thread, but the month turned into another big mess over here.

HOWEVER, just sharing my goal here made it very real for me, and I managed to do my morning MFP check-ins maybe about 20/30 days? I'm very happy with this outcome, and will continue the habit in October. I'm going to sit out the October group though, because I have too much going on to actually contribute here.

Thank you all, and I plan back some other month! Congrats to everyone who made progress with their own new habits 💕 You all rock!

Well, I definitely didn’t focus on consistency with my habits in September, but the month wasn’t a total loss.

One thing I gained from using the tracker/planner is the measure of time, and apparently how much of it I waste. I set a goal to paint a few interior doors by the end of the month and didn’t.

@summerskier, maybe next month your goal should be to NOT do any activity. Get well, soon!

@takinitallofg, just drop by and say hi. 20/30 is a good success!

@hcoleman232, I’ve got another quote for you. And about those doors, I have a reminder to clean out the shed . My original goal was set for September 30, 2024.
