Woke at 3:30 and couldn't go back to sleep, so I decided to just get up and start the day; don't even have a dog waking me up.
Glad to hear Charlotte is showing signs of holding her own; hope she can come home soon and be with her mom. Hope Sam's DMIL settles in better where she is, and DW gets through her treatments.
Steve! You finished your bathroom repairs?!!
Dave, Bill, hope you guys are finally over your colds.
Lee, good luck at your next dog trials. Never been to Finger Lakes region of NY; heard it was beautiful. Real estate nonsense is over the top sometimes. I blame it on the BH&G magazines and TV shows, made people unrealistic about how real people live.
We had 80º yesterday, ridiculous contrast to almost freezing where I was camping, although afternoons there were warm in the sun. I had a couple of awful nights sleeping — was cold and couldn't warm up, CPAP didn't work right because of condensation inside the mask, and when I adjusted the temp/humidity settings the battery drained and went dead in the middle of the night. Kept waking up a lot two nights. And then the solar panels for the lithium batteries didn't fully recharge them. Although it was beautiful there and I normally love fall weather, it may just be more practical to camp in the summer with longer days of sunshine and warmer nights.
I need to unpack my tent today and open it up enough to dig out my electric razor which I left inside in a pocket, but didn't discover Saturday morning till it was all rolled up and we had to get on the road.
Visited an old friend in Bangor on my way home, in a nursing home since his stroke several years ago. Looks great but speaks very incoherently, walks with a slow shuffle, and doesn't seem to understand much of anything I talked to him about. Godfather to one of my kids. Sad, but I was glad I got to see him. He has a daughter who lives nearby and a special needs son in a home, also nearby. His wife died unexpectedly while he was recovering from surgery and had the stroke. When it rains it pours, as they say.
Need to dig out my taxes and do them, which I have an extension on till Oct. 15.

Good morning!
Mike, it sounds like you had an awesome time camping. I'm very happy for you. It is good there were no close encounters with bears. The pictures you took were beautiful! You must have a really good camera phone. Too bad about the batteries not charging as you wanted.
We found out that my DBIL (Connie's youngest brother) who lives in Ft. Myers has liver cancer. We are going to find out more about that this week I hope. They are doing more testing before coming up with an action plan for him.
I plan on doing a lot of little things around the house today, including a hopefully short trip to Walmart for some groceries. Chiefs are on tonight. I think I'll get a bunch of stuff out of the way today, and then start on the living room ceiling project tomorrow. SWMBO might have other ideas. Rain and cooler weather are supposed to move in today. They are saying a quarter inch of rain or less. The drought continues. The weather dudes are already saying to expect 85 degrees this coming weekend. The summer that refuses to go away. Our average high right now is supposed to be 72 degrees.
Have a great day!

Good morning gentlemen.
Sorry to hear about your DBIL, Steve.
It's 38 degrees this morning, looking for a high of 70. That's just about perfect fall weather for me. I need top mow the lawn and want to get some shop work done, too.

Good Morning
That is tough news about Connie's youngest brother. I pray the treatment plan will come together quickly and successfuly.
Busy week ahead. I have my 2hr music lesson today, gotta get some provisions, and finish up my notes and thoughts for my studies for Wendesday's discussion. I need to organize my music lesson's and workshop stuff into some sort of practice plan before too much time goes by and apparently the house doesn't clean it self. Heather leaves tomorrow for a week visiting her Sister in Minnesota. But my energy is back to normal which I am thankful for. If only my sinuses would calm down a bit.
