Dropped into 30's last night; tonight a hard freeze is predicted. Brought in some plants; have been nurturing a poinsettia for a few years, which has grown from a little tabletop plant into a waist high bush that I haven't killed yet. More rain coming next week; maybe the local rivers will come back up enough to paddle them before winter…

Glad to hear wee Charlotte is home & got the A-OK from her 1st doc visit. (And sounds like DMIL found her phone and remembers how to work it.)

Dave, hope all the parts heal up soon and you can start hiking again.

Lots of catching up to do here with various chores and errands. And I see two old, old Steinway uprights on Craigslist, local, one free and one only $250; I need a bigger place…!

    Good morning!

Whew! I am learning that sanding and mudding above my head while standing on a ladder is for younger folks than I. Two rounds down, one to go. Connie is struggling with the dust, and I am doing what I can to minimize it, but there is only so much one can do with that.

I am so glad that Charlotte is doing well.

Dave, I hope that you heal quickly.

Bill, I also am including you in prayer for your health.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

Doctor examined my shoulder and decided I likely have some partially torn ligaments. Not uncommon in a fall such as I took, especially for older folk. On a positive note, he said these things generally heal themselves - eventually. They took X-rays, just to make sure no bones are affected. I don't imagine they will show anything. So, I just need to work around the shoulder issues until they resolve themselves. I was able to mow the lawn after we got home. I did need to be careful, but I managed. I go back to see the ENT doc this afternoon. I am sure there is nothing they will do about my nose. It will knit on its own.

Steve, if you tape a furnace filter on the intake side of a box fan, it will capture a lot of the fine dust you create. That's what I do out in my shop. It won't eliminate the problem, but it will keep the stuff from working through the entire house.

Yeah often happens when you plant yourself on a fall. Good luck w ENT but like you I don't expect they'll do anything. dave is right about the use of box fans to trap particles w a taped hi MERV filter on them.

Glad to hear Charlotte passed her first Dr visit after being home.

Hope things get better for you Bill and soon!~

    Good Morning

Glad to hear there was no serious damage Dave.

I was totally wiped out yesterday with some sort of stomach bug. Once I got things to settle down I pretty much slept on and off into the night. The fever had eased and I stumbled to bed. Its the most sleep I have gotten in 24hrs that I can remember. I will give it another day to make sure it stays away and my stomach continues to settle. Fun times. Not much planned today. It depends how I am feeling. I did pull it together for my online chat with my mentor. I have some new reading to start and that is likely the extent of my doings today along with a bit of music.
