    Good morning!

We are actually getting some real fall like weather here. It is 43 this morning, and we are expecting highs in the mid 60s. There is the possibility of frost in the morning. I moved some plants inside the garage for over wintering. I still have not put away my hose and things yet, but maybe that is not too far off. I got all of my indoor chores done yesterday. This morning, I have a counseling session, and then I hope to do more work outside after that.

Lee, have you had any solid offers on your house yet?

Bob, are you able to bike with your stitches?

We found out yesterday that my DBIL (Connie's youngest brother), has a golf ball size tumor on his liver, and a smaller tumor on his liver. He will find out his course of action on Wednesday. Russ is in Ft. Myers, FL. He said they are hopeful that they can "burn" the tumors without surgery, but that is not known yet. The tumors are presumed to be malignant.

    Have a great day!

    Mornin' men.

Steve, that's rough news about DBIL. They have a lot of new ways of dealing with tumors nowadays, and FL has pretty good healthcare I hear, so let's hope he gets better quick.

Fall foliage is looking great here, but won't last much longer, I imagine. My drive Sunday up to Ashburnham for the afternoon piano concert was almost mesmerizing. Good season for getting out for a hike—I missed last two days, so top priority today. Also hand weights, which I keep remembering I should do daily and then forget to actually do it.

DS's wedding is this weekend, so need to get my hair cut, clothes all set, car washed (still caked with Maine woods dust and mud), and any other ducks all lined up.

    Onward and downward.

    Good morning gentlemen.

There is no joy in Mudville… Enough said on the Mariners.

Had a wonderful hike, yesterday. The fall colors were great, the weather crisp and the trail deserted. Covered 13.2 miles, with 1,360 feet of vertical.

Sorry about your DBIL, Steve. Hope they get a good plan moving forward.

    Good Morning,

Chilly here this morning but forecaster calls for 77 this afternoon. we could use some rain.

Not having to go to Athens today but will start back tomorrow.

Went to see about hearing aids yesterday, hearing has really gotten worst and is now classified as profound, explains why lower priced hearing aids do not do what I need. Insurance company has set up a system where they are making half of what they pay back: have to go through company who picks who will do exam, then hearing aids are ordered through company and sent to audiologist, my $4,000 benefit has been cut with monies going to company insurance has put in middle, reckon a couple thousand is better than nothing.

I'm hoping to leave plants out a few more weeks.

    Good Morning

Sorry to hear about Connie's brother's diagnosis. It sounds like he's at that point where you have to make big decisions in way too short a period of time. Prayers will be ongoing.

Semi productive day yesterday. Goulash was superb if I do say so myself. Today it is Oven Roasted Shwarma with the fixins. It is Tuesday so it is movie day when we go to see another film in the series of Hepburn/Tracy films our theater is showing. This room is a mess as I started unpacking closet boxes and trying to orgainize stuff. It is the opposite of out of site out of mind. Thanks for the reminder on hoses Steve. La Niña brings her storms on Thursday/Friday for the weekend. Time to put things away.

I have been able to do a pinch of short biking at times. I am being uber careful.

Went to have the stitches looked at by a P.A. yesterday and she thought they were ok. It's just such a big strip and has some serous leakage etc that I am following. Will take time and I do have a low platelet count from my lymphoma too. So far good enough tough.

Wow Steve prayers indeed for your DBIL and his liver ordeal.

Thanks Lee for the hints about wound healing. I also thought that maybe my daughter's "Miaderm" cream for radiation treatment which has Aloe in it might be useful too??

    Good luck with Joanne Sam.

    cheers
