LW: 134.2
TW: 133.8
Typically, my weight varied day to day with a low of 132.4 and a high of 134.2. I'm a bit disapppointed that each end was not lower because I increased my activity a bit, and so of course my kcals burned was a little higher, too. But it is what it is. Here are my 7-day averages:
Steps = 11,260
Kcals burned = 1,770
Lois, I was so sorry to see your post saying that Chris has still not been located. I can't imagine how hard this has been on all of the people who care about him. Death is hard, but limbo has to be worse. Hope your mouth is healing and that the implant pain is resolving.
Kelly, I hope that Ella is enjoying her time back on the ice and that her knee will do well. And when I opened the sports page today, I immediately said, "Yes—Kelly and Shawn can now enjoy seeing the Blue Jays play in the World Series!" I still think that 2019, when the Nats came from being one of the worst teams in the early weeks of the season to winning the series that year, will always remain one of my happiest times. Within minutes, our house was filled with neighbors with sparkling cider and champagne, and we grabbed the Nats flag off of our garage and ran up and down the street like little kids. (And mind you, it was midnight here because the game was in Texas.) Anyway, I was happy to see the headline, and I hope you've had a good week.
Sheesh, hope you enjoyed your visit with your Oregon daughter, and I too, wish that I could enjoy shopping. I did as a young woman, but as my body has changed over time, it has become increasingly hard to find things that I think fit well, are comfortable, and flattering. So I typically wear workout type pants, t-shirts, and hoodies. My hubby, on the other hand, loves to shop and always makes sure he looks nice. We are truly Mutt and Jeff in that way. And I agree—if I can stay in the present and keep myself from mucking around in the past or the future, my mental state and happiness are much better. I will sometimes stop myself and say, "Okay—what is going on RIGHT NOW." But it can be hard.
Well, folks, I guess I'd better get some things done. Looking forward to hearing from everyone.

LW: 127.2
TW: 126.8I'm surprised that I had a reduction, as I had birthday cake and a little ice cream and enjoyed a beer with my daughter on a couple of days she was here. We had a great time, and it was good to catch up with everything that's going on in her life. She has a busy one! We're going to fly up to Portland to see them, and to attend a school play that the 14 year old has a main part in. She's very talented and we've enjoyed watching her in her school plays before. The program at her school is run by a very talented guy, and they go all out on scenery, costumes, live music, etc. I swear it's as good as Eccles Theater here in SLC. The 16 year old in Oregon is a coxswain on a rowing crew, so each girl has her "thing". They both just went to Homecoming. It's hard to believe how much they've grown up. I was still active over the weekend, and had my trainer Monday, and will again today (very shortly!)
Sarah, congratulations on your reduction! And on your incredible steps and calorie burn. I don't really track steps and burned calories, only closing my Apple Watch rings, and logging food. I don't pay attention to how many calories I can "eat back" for exercise, I just try to keep intake in a certain range of calories and make sure to get enough protein, water, and veggies. But when I do look at my steps and calorie burn, it's almost never anywhere near yours! How are you liking your fresh paint? I hope the parking problem in your neighborhood is resolved to your liking. Your neighborhood sounds like it's lovely.
Lois, I'm still hoping that Chris is found soon. I'm thinking about him and the family every day. So sad.
Kelly, I'm looking forward to your post . . you're doing great and are an inspiration to us here!
Sorry, but I must run. Trainer soon.

LW: 154.8 - TW: 153.6 - Average weight over 5 days of weighing - 154.26
Well my average weight went up but my weigh in today was down. That's not surprising that it went up considering the time of the month it was for me during the week and all the stress I've been going through lately. My weight always goes higher during that particular week too.
The only way to describe this week is that it sucked. We seriously just can't catch a break in life lately. And of course, it could definitely be sooo much worse, so I'm trying to stay positive and trying to look at the good things in our life, but you know.. sometimes that can be so darn difficult. We're still in limbo with the old house stuff and our lawyers, our son's radiator blew up in his car, our insurance company is bugging us about an inspection for our cabin's woodstove and our daughter had a sad and life changing medical diagnosis given to her on Tuesday. I really need your guys virtual hugs right about now.
So our daughter is almost 16 years old and she hasn't had a period yet. She was referred to a special gynecologist and they have diagnosed her with 'mullerian agenesis'. It's something that happens to 1 in every 5000 women and typically presents for the first time when a girl doesn't get her 1st period. She found out at her appointment that she doesn't have a vaginal canal, so basically she'll never have a period and she'll never be able to carry or deliver a baby. On top of that, the "treatments" to create that canal are extremely unpleasant. This poor poor girl… she's gone through enough! She's taking it really well so far, but honestly, I don't think she fully understands what this is all going to mean for her. All we can do is be there for her and support her through it. She will have many more tests to go through first and many more appointments.
So on a positive note, I have kept up with my workouts, closing my apple watch rings and walking, however, I haven't been 100% on tracking my food (although I have been eating health), so I'm getting back to that today. Sheesh, I'm the same as you with the calories where I don't "eat back" my calories. I just eat within my calorie range based on my TDEE calculations and I try to reach my macros with Protein and Fiber. I'm at that in between clothes size where some pants are too big and are falling off me and some are too small still. I have also been sleeping much better this week. I do need to do better with water this week though too.
This weekend we have a hockey tournament for our daughter that starts tonight and hubby and I both took tomorrow off for it too. It'll be nice to have an extra day off with him too. And yes Sarah!!! We will be cheering loudly for our Jays!! I actually thought of you that night when they advanced and was wondering if you though of us Canadians lol
Ok that's all I have time for right now. Hoping to find time to post more tomorrow or a bit this weekend.

Good morning, all. Kelly, I am so very sorry to hear that Ella has yet another health challenge. I know that this is also hard for you and Shawn and her Mom. We all want that magic wand. I will be sending many good thoughts your way.
Sheesh, I also wanted to circle back around to say, "Yea for you!" I know you're happy with the progress you've made toward your desired goal.
I'm a little concerned that Lois has not posted yet and hope that it's just a good kind of busy that is keeping her away. I have her cell number and will message her if we don't hear something soon.
Kelly, it will be hard to stay up for the ballgame tonight since it's starting so late for us east coasters, but I'm going to try. It's exciting that the Blue Jays have made to the big show for the first time since they won the trophy in 1993. Even though I'm a lifetime fan of Freddie Freeman, the Dodgers had their day last year!0 -
Happy Friday ladies! Sorry it's been a helluva week. Had our software developers in town this week. I was in Scottsdale most of the week and catching up on regular work and other stuff when I got home. Sorry it's been insane. Just popped on to let you know I'm ok, just swamped at the moment. I'll catch up over the weekend (nothing exciting on my side).

Happy Monday ladies!!! Sorry my week last week was INSANE!!!
Sorry that I'm so behind and forgive me if I missed anything. I truly do appreciate you ladies more than words can express. My tooth/jaw is FINALLY settled. I can eat almost anything without too much discomfort so this week I'm back on my plan. Starting back with my trainer tomorrow night. So fingers crossed I can move again on Wednesday. Holding at the 246 mark, but I pray when I get back on plan this week and added training I start to see it slide down some. Next week I am crazy busy with doc appts. I didn't mean to stack them so tight, but that's what was available and I was looking at the big picture when I scheduled each one. Cameron has his Senior Night Football game this Friday night, so I took 1/2 day PTO and will head to the other side of the globe (just feels that far) for his game, stay the night and then watch Kelsie's flag football game on Saturday. Saturday, Rhea and her parents are coming back over after I get back as we need to start making the shirts for our Thanksgiving Disney trip (we told Rhea last night we're going again). Hubby and I have crazy plans for the next few weekends, so praying we can get the house decorated before we leave for Thanksgiving (my neighbors will dislike me very much if not lit up on Thanksgiving night… Chris is still "missing". The family is now accepting that he has passed and just praying we can find him and lay him to rest. No more active searches are occurring with the family.
Kelly - WOW for news on Ella!! usually we don't worry about menstruation when the girls are so active, but WOW. And I agree, she has not idea on the impact that diagnosis can be. Hugs to all of you. And your son, I just love the way you all have molded him into a great young man. Stay focused on yourself as well. Good luck in the WS (sorry we don't really watch sports). I know my friends in Cali are cheering for the Dodgers - but since Steve Garvey played, I couldn't tell you too much about baseball. LOL. Hubby will tolerate football, but not baseball. He won't sit still for it.
Sheesh - I love your photos. So glad your visit was so happy, fun and filled with love. I love the dedication to your kids and grandkids. Keep us posted on your travels. Stay focused.
Sarah Great reduction!!! I'm really hoping your feeling better and healing well. And remember, as we get more fit, the kcals burn more efficiently and your body is leaner. You've got this!!

I got really busy, had birthday parties for granddaughter and a friend, and have just been starting to plan Thanksgiving, so I haven't been back here until today.
Kelly, I'm really sorry about Ella's condition. Of course, I googled it because I'd never heard of it. . . There are treatments, but they sound difficult. I hope she can find answers that work for her, and some knowledgeable people to talk to her or counsel her and you and Shawn and her mother. 💗 Great job with your progress. I'm glad you're keeping your self care in the mix of it all. You can't bring your best if you don't take care of your needs and health.
Good grief, Sarah and Kelly, I stayed up last night to watch the record breaking extra innings World Series game!! I'm also hoping for the Blue Jays because the Dodgers got it last year. I also like their team of lesser known (or at least lesser paid) players, and their coach. I cannot believe they have to play again tonight, and with a lot of injuries, but go Blue Jays!!
Lois, I'm happy your mouth is feeling back to normal, and that you're getting back on track. You're with your trainer today, so I hope you aren't too sore tomorrow! And, I'm happy for you getting back to DL for Thanksgiving, especially for Rhea. Kids make it so much more fun.
I've been doing okay this week, had my trainer yesterday, but today I was dragging and it's our "date day" out. Hubby got an Apple Watch when we were with our son in Cali, so we stopped in at the genius bar to get it set up (I could have done it for him, but he wanted a "professional" LOL), then we did some Xmas shopping around the mall, had some lunch, and went to a movie . . "Good Fortune", which is really good.
I'll be back tomorrow with my weigh in. World Series is coming up quick. .I've had nothing but fun today . . feeling a little guilty so maybe I'll throw in a load of laundry. 😆
