18 innings last night. Yeesh. Too much free baseball. Go Jays.
Great you got your sutures out, Bob. How was dinner with Paleo pals?
DMIL's condition does not sound good. Hope she is not suffering. Does Joanne's blistering stop the radiation treatments until they heal, or do they push ahead? (((Joanne and DMIL)))
Weekend was a blur. No ribbons but had a good time at the trial. Met up with a high school classmate. She is a college fundraiser. Was with Cornell for 30 yrs, now with Syracuse. No easy way to get to Ithaca, let me tell you. House goes on the market this Saturday and multiple showings are already scheduled and open house on Sunday. Double yeesh. Realtor is super optimistic, but aren't they always in the beginning?
Onward and downward ;-)

Mornin'
Sunny and chilly 34º this morning. Will stop in bible study this morning till I start getting tempted to go over and look at the donuts/muffins/cookies or whatever the womenfolk have made, then get up and leave before indulging.
Sam, hope DMIL is relatively okay. And how is that new grand-baby doing?

Good morning!
Lee, I'm happy you got to see an old friend. I pray that your house sells this weekend!
Prayers continue for Joanne, DMIL, and for Sam.
Bob, I am happy you have your sutures out, and I pray for complete and rapid healing there.
They are still trying to find the best course of treatment for my DBIL in FL. They have mixed thoughts on if they can treat with radiation vs. surgery.
Still rainy in Kansas, and I'm OK with that, although it has been about a week since we've seen the sun.
Go Chiefs!

Good morning gentlemen.
Looks like an easy day, today. DW has a couple errands for us to run, then there is a community dinner at church (I think it's baked potatoes with lots of high-calorie toppings).
Playing around with a wooden coffee cup. It looks good, but I don't know if it will handle a sudden pour of hot liquid. We'll see. I'm still doing multiple coats of finish.

Good Morning,
DMIL will be moved to Madison Rehabilitation Center today.
Georgia Skin this morning froze 14 places and told me it was time to do skin peel again, shave head to treat head and forehead
Charlotte has her days and nights reversed, making rest hard for her parents; told them that's why they give kids to younger folks.
Last day for Joanne's radiation they tried to get her to hold off or put several days between treatments, but she is tried and just wants it over with. Lots of drainage from where blisters have popped.

Good Morning
(((Joanne)))
Bob, you make me homesick for our visits to Claremont. Congratulations on getting the stitches out.
Thankfully, after 2 days my gut seems to have settled down which also helped my sleep. Sometimes it goes weeks. I will toe the line a few more days though before indulging in a single cup of coffee. Finally got my Covid & Flu shot scheduled. I spaced them out a week apart to avoid complications. Our weekly Tuesday movie showing today is "State of the Union". Otherwise I am not lacking in things to do around here.

Yea I can't even imagine the East Coasters and Toronto staying up til something like 3 a.m. to watch the 18 inning game. I kinda got hooked and watched it. An amazing TEAM effort all around by both teams. I wasn't born in New York so became a dodger follower even before they moved west. I also very much support the Mariners too.
dinner with Paleo pals was amazing

Our amazing museum participates in so many things and outreach from the "MUSEUMS FOR ALL" outreach program, working hand in hand with the La Brea Tar Pits, helping the people of Mongolia and Madagascar to develop there own museum programs and so much more. Our director did his PhD work in Madagascar and our Associate Director did her Post Doc work in the La Brea Tar Pits.
The La Brea Tar Pits has over 4,000 specimens of Dire Wolves. Our museum (The Alf Museum of paleontology), the La Brea Tar Pits and several other universities have combined forces to explore the factual science behind the splashy headline on the cover of Time Magazine about the so-called bringing back of the extinct Dire Wolf. Serious work is going on by a huge collaboration initiated by our Museum, The La Brea Tar Pits and others.
It is also important to ask the pondering question "is it prudent for our environment and so much more to bring back many of the extinct animals from Dinosaurs to Dire Wolves etc" Always this should be part of the discussion along with the future of our planet and living things. Our outreach director has in addition to engaging kids rich or poor or whatever but also brought fun to Comic-Con too. We have traveled on international trips with the museum to Mongolia, Madagascar and Peru. Peru had some of the famous four legged whales that are thought to have originated from Pakicetus a largely land animal. Megalodon sharks lived off Peru too. fun stuff indeed. We go to the special dinner every year in Claremont California.
cheers

So sorry about the skin blisters and more from Joanne's radiation. My DD had that too.
Oh and Mike glad the wedding went well and you got caught up.

Cold misty day and Pablo does not care he still wants to go for walk.
DW thinks skin looks better, oozing blood and yellow gunk; looks like ground beef.
Bob your museum work is very interesting, thanks for sharing.
